Why does it have to be that way? If you’re capable of saying that you like Palin because you believe in her platform, why do you think it’s so impossible that different people like Obama’s platform?

Because you’re all generally dishonest about what his platform is, which is understandable, because he is too. He’s a guy whose entire adult life has been rapped up in revolutionary leftist politics and exclusionary ethnic religion, and now he wants you to believe that he’s neither of those things anymore because, well … just because.

OTOH, Sarah Palin is exactly what she says she is. She didn’t get to where she is because she was born or married to political royalty (hello, Nancy Pelosi and Hillary Clinton), she started out in her local PTA. She’s a strong-willed, self-made woman made of the stuff the women who accompanied westward pioneers were made of. Her detractors ignore that, and laugh at her Idaho sheepskin. Well, no other Governor has an approval rating approaching Palin’s. So much for the Ivy League.

She isn’t just pro-life, she’s got a young one who is living testimony to her commitment to a culture of life, and been pilloried for her stand.
She didn’t just talk about reform, she’s run over corrupt politicians and bureaucrats in her own party and gotten into hot water for wanting to get a rogue Trooper fired. She didn’t just talk about fiscal responsibility, she slashed the budget with a scalpel and was criticized for that as well.

She and her family have taken more public abuse and scurrilous lies in the past eight weeks than most of us will suffer in a lifetime (how many times has a porno king made a DVD making fun of YOUR life out of spite?), but she’s not slowing down, she’s still punching back, and she’s NOT crying; she’s keeping a smile on her face. And while she does have to bend to McCain’s moderate agenda to a certain extent, she is one of the last of a rare conservative breed that won’t compromise her principles for the sake of appearing warm and fuzzy to big-government advocates.

The fact that she’s smoking hot is icing on the cake. And what sweeeet icing it is!

Not exactly the point. We have here an alleged reporter doing nothing more than a campaign puff piece for Obamunist. Can you point to any comparable pieces by AP writers detailing the comprehensive wonderfulness of John McCain.

I would hope intellectual honesty would compel even the most committed leftist to acknowledge the the mainstream media is almost entirely in the tank for BO.

Palin’s wardrobe is a scandal; Obama’s close decades-long associations with racists, communists, terrorists and terrorist apologists are irrelevant.

Obama’s wife is off-limits; Sarah Palin’s kids are fair game.

On and on. If you can’t acknowledge the double-standard, you’re either profoundly stupid or profoundly dishonest.
