Ohio official who snooped Joe the Plumber’s records is an Obama donor

I ask again: Will the privacy champions come to Joe the Plumber’s defense?

More: Ohio’s inspector general is investigating

Ohio’s inspector general is investigating why a state agency director approved checking the state child-support computer system for information on “Joe the Plumber.”

Helen Jones-Kelly, director of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, confirmed today that she OK’d the check on Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher following the Oct. 15 presidential debate.

She said there were no political reasons for the check on the sudden presidential campaign fixture though the Support Enforcement Tracking System.

Amid questions from the media and others about “Joe the Plumber,” Jones-Kelley said she approved a check to determine if he was current on any ordered child-support payments.

Such information was not and cannot be publicly shared, she said. It is unclear if Wurzelbacher is involved in a child-support case. Reports state that he lives alone with a 13-year-old son.

“Our practice is when someone is thrust quickly into the public spotlight, we often take a look” at them, Jones-Kelley said, citing a case where a lottery winner was found to owe past-due child support. “Our practice is to basically look at what is coming our way.”

Ohio Inspector General Thomas P. Charles confirmed today that he is investigating the incident to determine if “Joe’’s” records were legally accessed by Job and Family Services employees.

The use of a state computer system to search for information on Wurzelbacher is the fourth uncovered by The Dispatch.

Last time I checked you wouldn’t owe child support on a child that lives with you.

Not true. The child support is agreed upon in the final dissolution of marriage (if married). The agreement could state that he pays child support to the mother and that she has custody. Afterwards, she can do what the heck she wants and he still has to pay UNTIL he changes the final order which (coming for someone who has been there) will NEVER happen. So, she can abandon the kid and the dad could be keeping the child but he is still on the hook for the support. If he stopped paying, he is in arrears. He cannot stop paying just because his child is living with him full time. The system is still skewed towards the female – it just is and don’t tell me otherwise.

Off topic, but I was thinking about the World Series game. If Phila wins, the series will be over tonight. That means that The One will have his 1/2 hour infomercial tomorrow before a non-existant game. Thus, a far smaller audience than he was hoping for. Of course, I wouldn’t put it past him to somehow “fix” the game so that TampaBay wins and it has to go to 6 games!! Do you think he could arrange that?

For example, a cop just can’t do a lookup on someone’s license plate number. Cops have been reprimanded and in fact fired for this in NJ.

Using state or Fed databases for personal curiosity is a violation of policy at the least, or a crime at the most.

I know they have been democrat in the past, but this One is so over the top, even the Jews have to reject him…! McCain is going to get a lot more votes than the polls are showing. Good point. But that was the reason why I thought it might be legit! IF they saw him, a single dad, and now knew where he was living, wouldn’t it have been prudent to check their records to see if he might possibly be in there as a deadbeat they might be looking for? Maybe that is standard. Has anyone checked to see if they do this as standard practice? I know it’s a stretch. I think you guys are right. I was just trying to play “devil’s advocate” like my spouse tells me to do, and to keep an open mind. It is very very suspicious, so you are probably right.

O.K. This answer is just silly. First of all, I didn’t say ALL Ohio’s records. We were talking about Child Support records. And I didn’t say “without a doubt”. I said “maybe” this one particular search was legit, if they did it as standard practice to find deadbeat dads. Enough said.

    I’m not sure of

    CAN’T BE FIRED

as in under no circumstances, never ever, etc.

However, for practical purposes, you are, unfortunately, most likely correct.

A not inapprpriate segue…as Edwin Edwards – another democrat socialist (at least, that was his party affiliation), and another Louisianian (and who, BTW, as far as I am aware, is currently in Federal prison)- said about 25 years ago:

“The only way I can lose this election is if I’m caught in bed with either a dead girl or a live boy”.

That seems to be sort of what level of wrongdoing (I know, I know…who am I to call it wrongdoing?!) would be needed to get rid of some bureaucrats (unless they are of the wrong political party); or to impeach some appointed judges; or to convince so many of the electorate about the danger of cetrtain candidates.

Neighbors were against neighbors and even a person’s own children were encouraged to report their parents should they be overheard talking against The Fuerher, his policies, his statements etc.

I have been just flabbergasted at the millions of parallels between Germany 1922-39 ever since Obama spoke at the DNC in 2004. It is just staggering. The “Cult of Personality” that surrounds him all the way down to the way people describe listening to him talk and being in his presence.

Anyone can go and find out the way Hitler was described by the citizens of pre-WWII Germany. Go ahead and do it. Then compare that with the way people describe him, listening to him, and being in his presence.

Who will the leaders of the Opposition (Underground) be?

I have been alive from Johnson until the present, and never before have I ever seen or heard about anything like this in this country. Soviet defector Yuri Bezmenov described the four stages of

(also known as “Active Measures” and “Psychological Warfare“) as:

    1) Demoralization
    2) Destabilization
    3) Crisis
    4) Communist “Normalization”

The Demoralization stage could very well be the reinterpretation of the First Amendment to mean “Separation of Church and State”.

The Destabilization stage could very well be the Destabilization of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

The Crisis stage could very well be the current financial crisis, as well as the Manufactured Crisis that Senator Joe Biden has assured us is certain to happen in the first six months of an Obama presidency.

It is reported that Vice-Presidential candidate Joe Biden, speaking in Seattle on Sunday, October 19, 2008, said:

“Mark my words. It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking,” Biden said.

“Remember I said it standing here. if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy. And he’s gonna have to make some really tough — I don’t know what the decision’s gonna be, but I promise you it will occur. As a student of history and having served with seven presidents, I guarantee you it’s gonna happen,” Biden continued.

The next President of the United States will likely determine whether or not we enter the fourth and final stage:

    Communist “Normalization”

Those “really tough decisions” Biden was confidently predicting could be to impose Martial law and rewrite our Constitution.

I also personally suspect that the “international crisis” would be:
a nuclear weapon being detonated in Washington, D.C.,
and Obama moving the seat of government,
just like he moved the seat of the DNC,
to Chicago (home of the Communist Party USA).

I base this suspicion on several things Obama has said and done, including his talking about being able to walk from his house to the Chicago Olympics when he is President.

Washington, D.C. is home to many primary sources that prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that our nation was founded as a Christian nation. I think the Godless Communists would like to see that all destroyed in seconds.

I clearly don’t want to see that happen, but Joe Biden assured us:

Mark my words. It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. How did the Communists test John Kennedy?
With the Cuban Missle Crisis, which brought us to the brink of nuclear war.

The Russians could never attack us directly with missles, but could indirectly via Jihadist terrorists…

He spent 3 minutes trying to get Joe to stick his foot in it. The problem is, that Joe is smarter than Shep. Joe saw him coming from a long way off and just stepped out of the way.
