Late-night links

Some quick hits for you fellow night owls:

The Palin effigy has been taken down in West Hollywood.

An Obama effigy was found at the University of Kentucky. I wouldn’t automatically assume anything about the political leanings of the person/people who put it up.

A Democrat staffer has been fired for her alleged role in an Ohio voting scam: “Congressman John Hall (D-Dover Plains) fired one of his long-time campaign advisers Tuesday, after learning that she’s embroiled in voter fraud investigations in Ohio. Amy Little, 49, has been a registered Democrat in New York since 1991, and Ulster County election officials said she voted in the party primary here in February. But in October, Little registered to vote in Ohio. On her registration paperwork, she indicated she moved from her home at 142 Guilford Schoolhouse Road in New Paltz to a place at 1979 N. 4th St. in Columbus, near Ohio State University.”

The invaluable Palestra.net was on the case first.

Obama donor and admitted anti-Joe The Plumber snooper Helen Jones-Kelley confesses that the checks on Joe were more extensive than first acknowledged.

But, you know, it’s all routine. Nothing to see here, move along…

Yeah, me too. And after the debacle of 2000, who would have thought someone would be saying that in his or her lifetime?

The fortunes of this great nation lay on the edge of a knife. Stray but a little, and they shall fall. Paraphrasing from a fantastic series, but you get my point.

Not too hard to figure out, from its posts I’d say she’s a white male, about 24, flunked out of a very liberal liberal arts community college. Once considered joining the military but changed her mind when he found she’d have to work for a living and maybe even break a sweat. Is living in Mommy’s basement, can often be seen wearing a polo shirt with the name of a retail store embroidered on the left breast.

Took lots of English lit classes, crept through every history class with a D minus, has never studied civics, has never read the constitution, has never read the Declaration of Independence, has never read the Federalist Papers, thinks the electoral college is a 4 year school, wears a Che T-shirt when not selling X-Box games at Buy More, has never been out of the country unless you count “Long Island” as foreign.

BOYNTON BEACH — Carol Anne Burger killed her former lover by stabbing her 222 times with a Phillips-head screwdriver and then took pains to hide her crime, police said Wednesday.

Jessica Kalish, who shared a house with Burger despite breaking up with her more than a year ago, was found last Thursday stuffed in the backseat of her gun-metal BMW sedan, abandoned behind a medical office at 2300 S. Congress Avenue. Her blood was splashed around the rear end and undercarriage of the car, as if her killer had tried to load her into the trunk. The driver-side window was shattered.

I respectfully dissent. It’s wrong to hang innocent people. Effigies are inanimate. The liberal mindset rails against symbolic violence while ignoring or excusing real violence. We conservatib are better and smarter than that.

Finally, a little Wikipedia on effigies:

A different type of effigy is used in some religious rituals to represent an undesired person or spirit. The effigy is burned as a sign of the participants’ shared intent to banish the represented element from their lives. The best known British example is the burning of an effigy made of straw and/or old clothing depicting the 17th century Catholic conspirator, Guy Fawkes.

That’s the perfect description of Obam-uh: an undesired person or spirit.

Immigration law is never grandfathered, you go by what the law says when you were born. In his instance when BHO was born the law stated that the American citizen parent must have lived continously in the U.S. for 10 years and 5 of those years after a certain age, maybe it was 14, BHO’s mom had him when she was 18 so she did not meet the 5 year requirement.

Is this really important? yes. Would I be satisfied if Congress got together and ordained him to run? yes. But, BHO is dodging and hiding all of this. He is shady and corrupt.

I have been writing my senators and congressmen for over a year now, how they blew it when they were in charge to get voter ID for US citizens.
If the dems win, voter fraud will be the standard, as if it already isn’t now.

“I am outraged because we work very hard, every day, to build bridges across the divides,” Todd said. “Diversity and inclusion are among our most precious core values. Episodes like this serve only to erode our confidence in and respect for one another.”

Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan declined to comment specifically on the situation, but said an effigy can suggest a threatening tone or be an attempt to intimidate. He said the agency is “very proactive about addressing these matters.”

Now, I want everyone to go to the original article about the effigy of GOVERNOR Palin and what was said there. No one had discussed anything with the Secret Service, no one was claiming that it was being used to intimidate or threaten anyone, people were not up in arms about it.

In fact, the person who put it up stated that it was to be looked at as “art”.

Don’t tell me that this election has nothing to do about race or the color of Capt. Big Ears’ skin. Don’t talk to me about “The Fairness Doctrine” or how Liberals and Democrats are all about equality and fairness…of leveling any playing fields.

While there are thousands of examples that we can draw from, none demonstrates the blatant hypocrisy of Liberals, Democrats and anyone voting for Obama than this.

While everyone laughs and thinks how wonderful it is to completely destroy a woman’s family and career simply because she was asked and accepted to run for the Vice Presidency on the Republican ticket, NO ONE is permitted to say, do, think ANYTHING about Obama, his family or his friends even if it is done in the exact same way.

Anyone doing so faces hate-crime calls, faces losing their jobs, their friends etc.

Just putting a bumper sticker on your car or a sign out in front of your house or wearing a button or t-shirt opens people up to thousands of dollars in damages to their property, and threats against their lives, family’s lives and their persons.

And I don’t want to hear any of the trolls coming on here and putting forth weak-a**ed denials, or claims that they receive the same things for claiming to support Obama. They know that any and all such claims are bald-faced lies.

This is the guy they claim will unite this country? This is the party that will unite this country? Under what auspices? Gun point? Strong-arm?

They are the very ones that are dividing this country and have been doing so since AT LEAST November of 2000. Even if you want to give them the benefit of the doubt, then it can be said since Nov. 2004. Bush had been legally elected without dispute, but did they get behind him? Did they support him? Did they stop the relentless attacks in every corner of every medium against Republicans, Conservatives and the President of the United States? No. It only got much much worse.

And if anyone wants to live in a fantasy land and believe that this country will be brought together by someone who runs with those that only wish to see it brought down in some of the most violent means, throwing out the Bill of Rights along with the Constitution, then by all means, go and live there.

But stop with all the lies about unity, fairness, equality and the rest. Come out and be who and what you are, stop hiding behind your lies.

We know who and what you are, and are shown everday what is in store should you ever get into power. You are the exact opposite of fair, equal and just, and the only thing that comes close to describing it can be found in any real history book covering the time period of 1922-38 in a little part of Europe.

    Just an interesting update:

The guys who hung the Obama effigy were arrested.

The guy with the GOVERNOR Palin effigy is sitting at home, never once having to worry about such a thing.

Tell me there isn’t hypocrisy from Liberals and Democrats and then tell me again how this election has nothing to do with Obama’s skin color.

You can only commit hate crimes against Democrats, not Republicans.

Didn’t you get the memo? ;-)

Knee jerk racism is the domain of Democrats.

    Do they cancel out?

Will there be a matter-antimatter explosion?

Will they arrest you for one, then release you for the other?
