Damned if you do, damned if you don’t
Sigh.
Obama suppporter Charles Ogletree, Harvard professor, says that even if you vote for Obama, you’re still a raaaaaaaaaaaacist!
Ogletree is rumored to be Obama’s pick for Assistant AG in charge of civil rights.
We’re Screwed ‘08!

not EVEN going there!
vote for obama? that would be a cold day in H.E. double hockey sticks.
Obama
So why is anyone voting for Obama?
Let them call me a racist. I recognize it for what it is: projection.
Jsut what we need – more lawyers:
http://abajournal.com/magazine/the_lawyers_who_may_run_america_obama
So, wait…lemme see if I have this right…because BO is half white, then he isn’t black enough to be the first black president?
As my father says (and as the fathers and mothers of others at this blog most probably say): What an “educated” idiot.
Another example, folks, that indicates the sheer, complete futility of attempting to have a rational, real-debate-type (as I remember from debate club in high school) argument with holders of the opposite worldview: It’s like trying to defend yourself at your trial, when you’ve been accused of witchcraft.
Again, I recommend watching Rebecca (Elizabeth Taylor) try to defend herself at her trial in the movie “Ivanhoe”.
(Yes, I read the book; but that was ~40 years ago.)
The only positive thing I can see from an Obama victory is the contortions the various liberal groups are going to have to go through to try and please each other. It could get hilarious at times. (In a sick, pathetic sort of way.)
Colin Powell,
When you called Obama a “transformational” candidate, did you know that the Summary of the Program of the Communist Party USA is:
Summary of the Program of the Communist Party USA
I know Professor Ogletree is a racist,
but what am I?
I wish I could claim this prose… Thought I would share anyway.
‘Twas the night before elections
And all through the town
Tempers were flaring
Emotions all up and down!
I, in my bathrobe
With a cat in my lap
Had cut off the TV
Tired of political crap.
When all of a sudden
There arose such a noise
I peered out of my window
Saw Obama and his boys
They had come for my wallet
They wanted my pay
To give to the others
Who had not worked a day!
He snatched up my money
And quick as a wink
Jumped back on his bandwagon
As I gagged from the stink
He then rallied his henchmen
Who were pulling his cart
I could tell they were out
To tear my country apart!
On Fannie, on Freddie,
On Biden and Ayers!
On Acorn, On Pelosi
He screamed at the pairs!
They took off for his cause
And as he flew out of sight
I heard him laugh at the nation
Who wouldn’t stand up and fight!
So I leave you to think
On this one final note-
IF YOU DONT WANT SOCIALISM
GET OUT AND VOTE!!!!
Another quality professor at Harvard. The joke is that Sarah Palin was mocked for not going to such high quality schools. I think the joke is on the elitist.
I AM A REDNECK

Considering how well blacks have run government in liberal paradises such as Detroit, Cleveland, Oakland, Atlanta, et al, why would ANYONE in their right mind put them in charge of a nation? Former mayors of both Atlanta AND Detroit are currently in prison, and crime and corruption is endemic. How many failed examples of incompetence and corruption are needed to notice there’s a “trend”?
Charles Ogletree is a professor at Harvard. Monica Goodling was a graduate of Bob Jones University, that barely accredited bastion of wingnuttery. Do we want the nation’s elite in top positions, or do we want second rate hacks?
Competence is 90% of good government. Ideology is the other 10%.
Socialist is a race?
They’re rioting in Africa, they’re starving in Spain.
There’s hurricanes in Florida, and Texas needs rain.
The whole world is festering with unhappy souls.
The French hate the Germans, the Germans hate the Poles.
Italians hate Yugoslavs, South Africans hate the Dutch.
And I don’t like anybody very much!
I find that most college professors are go at reading and teaching books but are worthless outside the classroom when real life becomes involved.
That’s raaaaaaaacist. But true, nonetheless.
unfortunately that is what the entire ivy league education is all about. we are elite and privileged, so we MUST help the poor black/brown people out there, as long as they don’t come too close to our homes. beacon hill, upper west side, miracle mile, are all lilly white. even the messiah has to have his home in an interracial island surrounded by the ghetto where crime and violence are out of control. that’s ten miles from the miracle mile, and ahell of a lot farther away socially.
IF Barry wins it’ll be a very long 2 years, and a lot of judicial damage can be done. But no doubt the 2010 elections will be a repudiation of Barry and his minions.
go = good
I am starting to think if you say your not a racist your a racist…if you are not a racist you probably still a racist…
But maybe if you come out and admit your a racist ..your most likely not really one, or something like that.
So easy to get confused with all the double speak.

right. and the trains were never late in 1930s Germany…
Once america understands how badly Obama lied to them, the blacklash will be huge. I hope he allows elections in 2010.
Bradley – I would answer your question, but someone would say I was
raacccciiisssttt!
WOW, for well over a year now I have been keeping this to myself… Thanks to the GOOD PROF, I can now relieve the burden, B. HUSSEIN is HALF WHITE!!!! Boy do I feel good now!!! Oh, I still would not vote for a SOCIALIST, be they half white, half black or half brown… They have to be ALL AMERICAN, a trait B. HUSSEIN does not come close to having…
But remember, you’re an “anti-intellectual” if you think that Havard professors have all the intelligence of a head of cabbage.
18 Million Democrats voted for Hillary Clinton in the primaries. Were they all racist?
I’m reading the Rise & Fall of Adolf Hitler … before I give it to my high schooler to study.
There are too many parallels, including Mein Kampf (not necessarily its contents). Hitler informed the world exactly what he planned to do. So has Obama. Neither in their speeches, but in their books.
It won’t be the Jews whose homes & belongings are confiscated, it will be non-blacks!
Btw…I never have been a consipiracy junkie, but history will repeat itself unless we guard against it.
I suppose those who voted for Gov. Rendell, Sen. Cardin, Sen. Brown, all Democrats, were racists too???
The “nations top elite”, in the form of professors at places like Havard, are second rate hacks.

OH yeah, forgot about Clinton Gridlock, but then again all those mentioned in my post were running against black Republicans.
They can call me racist if they like, but they will NEVER be able to call me a communist sympathizer. I believe that the Constitution is the greatest document ever written in the history of mankind. I believe that limits on government insure the rights of individuals. I would gladly vote for Micheal Steele or Walter Williams, but I will never vote for anyone who wishes to give government more power. I will never vote for a man who seeks to destroy the greatest nation on earth by diminishing the rights of it’s people.
Marie, thanks for the chuckle. Kinston Trio?
sorry, KinGston Trio.
This comment is the epitome of racism. You are judging all members of a race based on the actions of a few.
Please look at an individual for who they are, and not make presumptions based on the color of their skin.
LGM does a Harvard education mean one is competent?
I seem to remember all the wonderful (over)educated people in Germany who supported Adolph Hitler…it doesn’t take a genius to see where it got them.
Racist of the world unite and support Obama!

There really isn’t much sense in trying, is there?
Yes there are.
Agreed.
As I’ve posted before, I was a (public) high school-Harry, and went to the state University.
I then went to an Ivy League medical school; where I was not in the least impressed by my classmates, possibly the majority of which had attended that particular, or another, Ivy League school (as I remember, all the “Ivies” were represented), or other “prestigious” schools for undergrad study.
It is not that I was better prepared than they; however, I was at least as well prepared as any of them.
Also, glad to see you escaped from the futile struggle of attempting rational discussion with the troll at the other thread.
It’s so hard to rationally discuss with a projecting, immature, adolescent holder of the wrong, existentialist, statist/socialist worldview.
Nonetheless, kudos to you for the brave attempt!
BTW, does that troll like you?
I noticed that yesterday and today, that individual addressed you as “sweetie”.
Also used by that individual yesterday were “cupcake” and “guy”.
Hmmmm….
Racist: Another word that lost it’s meaning.
Tammy Bruce’s, “The New Thought Police” is a bone-chilling account of the systematic efforts to suppress not just free expression at grassroots liberal levels, but also to suppress and punish the thoughts that form our worldview and vision for our lives.
I highly recommend it.
The upshot of an economy over burdened by a President Obama’s unheralded tax increases on corporate America? Fewer donations to endowment dependent universities like Harvard, Columbia and UC Berkeley!
It’s not a race thing, it’s a Dem thing. Obama, Pelosi and Reid will turn this country into Detroit. Or Chicago (murder capital of the world). Or New Orleans. Or any other city totally controlled by Dems.
THAT’S WHAT THEY DO!
How about a man that believes he knows more than the founding fathers and a man that can bring people together better than the founder of Christianity?
Remember folks;
Those who have reached the status of professor, have been in the isolated academic environment all their lives. They have no true real world experiences. They can’t be fired. Their salaries are unusually high compared to the number of hours they must work. They commensurate with like minded people. They don’t have the day to day struggles that most of us have. Their lack of opposing views gives them immunity to say any stupid thing they want.
Government is best when it governs least.
Yes, Lilycat and that’s 50 years old!
Those who can do…do. Those that can’t…teach.
Damn straight.
Racist is now a code word for kool-aide denier. Am I supposed to be offended or modify my behavior because some Obamafied wank calls me racist? Boo hoo. That and a dollar won’t even buy a cup of coffee.
ROTFLMAO Now, the hanging of Palin was just fine and dandy. We’ll see how this hanging of Barack goes.
Considering that I make my living by hunting down bad people abroad, the threat of being called “racist” really doesn’t concern me very much. I have more important things about which to worry than ad hominem labels applied to me by people who claim to love this country, yet don’t have the audacity to fight for it.
Wasn’t Mein Kampf required reading for German students? Isn’t there a new textbook with excerpts from Obama’s book?
yo bluesoc, show us one black run city, nation, neighborhood, school, anything that isn’t a violent mess. i know i’m a RACIST, BUT POINT OUT THE BASTION OF PEACE AND PROSPERITY ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD BEFORE YOU CALL ME A RACIST. in the words of muhamed ali or charles barckley, can’t remember which, it ain’t braggin if it’s so. just as in the law, it ain’t slander if it’s true. and it ain’t racist if you can’t find that place. also in the words of a black comedian, martin luther king was a man of peace, yet EVERY martin luther king street in america is the most violent street in that city. go figure.
Amen to that.
I first heard that expression from my mother, (a teacher for 30 years!) ~35 years ago!
I like this corollary, that I heard on the TV show “The White Shadow”, 25-30 years ago:
“…And those that can’t do either,…administrate!”
Priceless!
I would never vote for Obama, but I guess I would be racist if I voted for the half white. Such idiots we have in this country. No wonder the next four years will be miserable.
So explain to me why you’re voting for an inexperienced idealogue.
I’m torn between ::headdesk:: and ::facepalm::.
This may qualify for both.
So what made this person think this was a good idea? I seem to recall the fallacy of “two wrongs make a right“.
I was wondering if it was an attempt to aggravate or a projection of their sexuality. There is something really strange about those two trolls.
Yes, allows is the operative word here.
I heard it from my neighbor (who happened to be a lawer of all people) explaining to my dad (covering for me and my grades). He said it different, but the meaning was the same.
I agree, Send Me. I don’t think it’s right for either of them, but I want to see how the media handles this one as opposed to the Palin hanging.
Wow. I’m a racist no matter what? Guess it’s a good thing that I stopped caring about things like that years ago. Keeps my blood pressure down.
Way off topic-but had to yell this out today!!!
Well I ditched my college class this morning so I could do my part to pi55 off the MSM (and lgm’s boyfriends) by voting early.
If the obamamessiah wins-Don’t blame me, I voted for McCain/Palin!
Its not over yet people, get out and vote!
GSP
This race-obsessed Harvard elite is a likely assistant AG in the Obama administration(vomits violently). From his profile:
So we get one step closer to reparations, another liberal nutcase idea. Just like gay marriage, those that warned 20 years ago things like could someday be a reality were derided as paranoid right-wing nuts, yet here we are a step away from having reparations mongers at the highest levels of government. I hope all those rich white liberals supporting Obama are ready to take a big hit for the team.
at least now they admit it that this stupid racial game will never end no matter what you do
I’m not sure if I’m a racist, or not. Is there a litmus test or something? I need to know. If I’m a racist, I might as well vote for McCain. If I’m not, then according to the prof I will be if I vote for Barry. So I wouldn’t want to do that. So I guess I have to vote McCain no matter what. I don’t want to be a racist.
Time & time again you hear the charge from Obama supporters that if you’re White and against voting for Obama, you’re racist.
However, the Obama campaign continually expounds that this the first chance for a black man to be elected President…directly calling for support solely along racist lines. A campaign tactic of a racist concept in of itself!
As such, any black voting for Obama, is endorsing & supporting a openly racist concept. Ironicly, to prove that racism dosen’t exist, a black person would have to reject Obamas rallying call to the black community which in reality, will never happen.
While race should have the least weight in a voters decision process, and a candidates character, integrity and experience carrrying the most, in this election, the complete opposite is true.
Don’t be fooled, every other issue in this election is pure smoke & mirrors… Black RACISM against Whites is the driving force of the Obama campaign. IMHO
In that case, I’ll take the don’t and save the country the one-party socialism (what used to be called Communism back in the day) promised by Obama and company.
NEVER!
the teacher quote i learned is “those who can do, those who can’t teach, those who can’t teach teach gym, and those who can’t teach gym administrate.”
Different link this time…
Enhanced with links I think are relevant, here is the…
Summary of the Program of the Communist Party USA
Does anyone doubt that Barack Hussein Obama is the Communist Party’s candidate for President of the United States?
I’m against Barack Hussein Obama for the same reasons I’m against Bill Ayers.
And it has NOTHING to do with skin color.
On October 30th, 2008 at 10:48 am, Milwaukee Mike said:

It wasn’t the observation that was racist. The problem was the conclusion you drew from that observation.
Let’s take your assertion as true (that there are no examples of effective government by black persons). It does not follow that because no black person has been able govern effectively in the past, that no black person can govern effectively.
Anyone who refuses to vote for a black politician because black politicians have failed in the past, is racist. They are making judgments about that individual politician based on their race and based on other individuals of that race. That’s pretty much the definition of racism.
I believe only one of them used all those terms.
And yes, projection was definitely the first term that came to my mind!
As far as an attempt to aggravate – my reply would be:
D’ya think?!
or,
a conflation of two similar responses (no disrespect intended to His Holiness, the spiritual leader of the sister Church to my Church):
Does the Pope $%!& on wild bears?
Well, they are both actively annoying – i.e., as mentioned yesterday, they are both probably the types that in high school tried their damnedest to annoy others, and probably then got deservedly, repeatedly beaten up.
I hate to say that last part; but, hey, life can be tough, and sometimes “unfair”…as ?John Wayne? said, “Life is hard – it’s even harder when you’re stupid.”
As far as strange, I agree they are both condescending, and clearly “believe their own press” as to how brilliant they are; and as to how much wiser and more intelligent they are than the rest of us.
One somewhat more than the other sits in a figurative viewing chair; above, and removed from, us the rabble; and dispenses witty & clever (in the individual’s mind), wise-ass comments and pronouncements (waiting for the demand to produce documentation of said comments in 5,…4,…3….).
Both also strive mightily to dismiss, and to ridicule the concerns others here may have about events, situations, and topics discussed at this blog. These tactics of dismissiveness and ridicule, along with obfuscation, sophistry, confusion, diversion, subject-changing, etc; bring to mind the cliche, “The best trick the devil’s ever played is convincing the world that he doesn’t exist.”
Similar tactics employed, perhaps?
At least one of these individuals is an attorney (wow! there’s a surprise!); the other also at times sounds very much like an attorney.
But only that other sounds also really “strange”, in addition to just plain annoying.
Look at it this way. If you’ve been bitten by a pit bull, you will always be uncomfortable around them. The problem the pit bulls of the left keep biting.
Auggie Dog #70:
Just stand there and do nothing: The race mongers will get around to defining nothing as racism so everything is racism. Or we might be there now as fast as it is moving. You might want to throw in a little islamopbia while we are at it.

Hey mister, on this side of the pond we spell it “color.” Are you some sort of eurolib or something?
OK, lgm:
Tell us where you went to school.
WE want to know if you are qualified to make your categorical statement.
Of course, if you tell us you graduated from an Ivy League school you will be proving more points than you think!
Thanks for making the coffee come out my nose!
My state may be blue, but I shall bleed red always.
This makes perfect sense, doesn’t it? I mean, when “the polls” show that 93% or more of a given “black” population is voting for the “black” candidate, how is that not racist? Can’t one assume that they will be voting for Obama, not because he has the experience, but because, as Obama puts it, “This is the moment WE have been waiting for!”
I understood that when Obama used “we” in that context, he was not meaning “liberals.” He was clearly alluding to the fact that the black population finally had a black candidate that could get voted in to power. That is racist!
Well, the leftists keep calling me a raaaaaaaaaaaacist, without any evidence anyway. Wouldn’t a racist voting for Senator Obama be a hypocrite? Lord knows I don’t want to be a hypocrite.
I’m voting for McCain-Palin ‘08.

Just is case. I also ordered Rosetta Stone’s Arabic language lessons-just in case.

And (to answer others), graduating Harvard is a real accomplishment that takes talent and hard work. Graduating Bob Jones University takes only a pulse.
Glad to be of service Milwaukee #87. Have another cup on me.

I believe Reagan when he said that the ten most frightening words in the English language are “I am from the government, and I’m here to help.”
From personal experience I can tell you that the inflated grades in those schools have no meaning and there is no honor in achievement without competition.
I’m racist if I vote for Barack HUSSEIN Obama, and I’m racist if I don’t. I’m racist for saying his middle name. I’m racist for wearing white. I’m racist for owning a Confederate Flag.
Am I a racist for having an Asian wife? Am I a racist for owning a H-D motorcycle?
Am I a racist for being racist for crying out loud?
Elm Creek Smith, I saw on your blog that you live in Owasso, OK. My sister works in a Reasor’s grocery store there.
Are you talking about all those advisors whom Obama now denies were ever part of his campaign? Frank Raines, Jim Johnson, Penny Prizker, Tony Rezko, Rev. Wrong…..
Why is it that the only ones who care about race are the ones who profit from calling others racist?
I am white.
My favorite color is black. (Black clothing makes you look thinner.)
I love orange juice.
I love listening to blues.
I usually turn red when talking politics, especially with an yellow-bellied idiot.
Healthwise, my cardiologist says I’m in the pink.
That opinion has cost me a considerable bit of my green.
I turn purple with rage when Obama opens his mouth.
I will not vote for Obama.
So, I guess, color me a racist.
So ****ing what?
And that matters…how?
Do you think this is an election for student council or head cheerleader?
“Gee…I wonder if Brad and Tyrone and the rest of the team are going to beat Central.”
“Did you see Heather’s new earrings?”
“OMG! Did you hear that Larry and Gloria broke up?”
Fool….
Refer to my post above, clown.
I’m sure others have similar stories.
I’m proud to say that, after being admitted to graduate school in a “hard” science department at Harvard, and being called at my home (to discuss possibly working in that individual’s research group) by someone who, 15-20 years ago, won the Nobel prize in this “hard” science; I turned Harvard down when I decided instead to go to medical school.
Not tooting my horn, folks; just telling the clown to blow it out his ***.
A name school may help the mediocre, “legacy” student, who manages only a “Gentleman’s C” average, to get that starter job at Dad’s roommate’s brother in-law’s company.
But, after a while, the company is not going to care where the mediocrity went to school; the company is, in effect, going to ask the mediocrity, “What have you done for us lately?”
Refer to Robert J. Samuelson’s article in Newsweek ~9 years ago (before we canceled that leftist cheerleader): “The Worthless Ivy League?”
School accomplishment depends predominantly on the character and effort of the individual student.
A hardworking achiever at a “second-tier” or “third-tier” school (whatever those terms mean) will do just fine.
