If you don’t make me glow, you gotta go

Tired of throwing all his nutball friends off the bus, Barack Obama has taken to throwing disfavored reporters off his plane. He needs to make room for bigwig media sycophants and documentarians.

If you don’t make me glow, you gotta go.

C-YA:

Journalists from three major newspapers that endorsed John McCain have been booted from Barack Obama’s campaign plane for the final leg of the presidential race.

The Washington Times reported Friday that it was notified of the Obama campaign’s decision Thursday evening — even though the paper has covered Obama from the start.

Executive Editor John Solomon told FOXNews.com that the Obama campaign said it didn’t have enough seats on the plane, but “I don’t think the explanation makes sense to us.”

“We’ve been traveling since 2007 with him. … We’re a relevant newspaper — every day we break news,” Solomon said. “And to suddenly be kicked off the plane for people who haven’t covered it as aggressively or thoroughly as we are … it sort of feels unfair.”

He said the newspaper protested but was turned down again by the campaign.

“I can only hope that the candidate who describes himself as wanting to unite the nation doesn’t have some sort of litmus test for who he decides gets to cover the campaign,” Solomon said, noting that the Obama campaign’s decision came just two days after the paper endorsed McCain.

The New York Post and Dallas Morning News also have been kicked off Obama’s plane.

A more disorganized, but genuine effort has also been made to sow doubts among the unapologetically right wing sites such as redstate.com. Don’t you guys get it? This has been the Obama campaign’s sole strategy from the very beginning! The only way he wins is over a dispirited, disorganized, and demobilized opposition. This is how it has been for all of his campaigns. What surprises me is that everyone has fallen for it.

I think the point was that Obama claims to be inclusive and a “uniter,” whereas I don’t think McCain really has…

Bush did that all the time in 2000 (“uniter not a divider” – God I hated that stupid slogan…).

But even so, you do make a good point, and it should have been addressed in the post. Remember however, that conservatives are not swayed to accept a wrong just because someone else does it too.

Even so, I am sure it will help you to secure a position as a Fairness Doctrine Webmaster in the Obama administration.

Small point, but I believe the news outlets have to pay FMV for the space and food provided by the campaigns.

Again, chapoutier just doesn’t get it. at a certain point the hit pieces from Dowd and Klein became so outrageous that they were booted off McCain’s plane. There’s a tremendous difference bwtween that and real reporters trying to ask real questions and being booted from Obama One because of it.

Can ANYONE tell us when a major candidate expelled reporters for political purposes? Did President Bush, Bush or Reagan keep Wrong Party reporters from their campaign? Think not. Someone is being less than honest here.

So what is that saying from WWII? (something like) they came for the jews, they came for the intellectuals, they came for the homosexuals, they came for the christians and then they came for me…. but there was no one left to save me.

Just remember the historical fact: all of the kool-aid drinkers died. They willingly drank it and were led so far out in the jungle, that no one came to save them even if they wanted to.

Yep, that’s one impulse, then there’s the one that says, “Shut up or I will destroy you with my gang of thugs who will dig into your background, ruin your reputation, audit your taxes, and eventually put you in jail…”

This is the impulse associated with having the upper hand, as Obama does on his airplane, and as he seeks to have over us starting next January. He won’t have the upper hand over the bad guys (Hugo and Lil’ Mahmoud) when they sit down with him and take away his juice box. Then we’ll all be like Barry’s grandma: under the bus!

Thanks for not making your argument. You are asserting I agree with something that I do not even know exists because you haven’t shown me them. I mean something so outrageous and so hit piece-y should be easy to dig up and link to. Then I can decide whether they are outrageous hit pieces.
