I can rationalize it when the media, or the preponderance of it, acts like an arm of one party or another. Sure, “Free” press means free, i.e. report as you wish, but then you have to seriously look at the way the “Fairness” Doctrine is being bandied about as a “cure” for free speech, but only on the conservative side. The you have Obama’s “truth squads” and Democrat backed illegal investigations of poor slobs like Joe the Plumber. Just to name a few. And this is just the campaign!

All of these are covered under the aegis of free speech. All are acts by liberal Democrats.

Is this the future we have to look forward to?

How do you feel about the government (Ohio at least) sponsored abuse of the privacy of Joe the Plumber? How about the abuses against Palin, both, by the way, assisted by the media? How about Obama’s “truth” squads?

Of course, the First Amendment actually GUARANTEES a free press. So when they criticise her, it’s because the First Amendment is being exercised. Criticism of politicians isn’t UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

Yeah, but I really want JHSII to find something. He has a nasty habit of making some claim, then refusing to link to any proof, and then going off the deep end and blanketing himself in self-denial. I would say he gives RedPill a run for his money as the most unhinged poster here.
