Saw something great this morning. My next door neighbor, a single working woman, was taking her Obama signs out of her front yard and taking an additional sign out of her window. She kept her other signs for the Democrat running for Senator.
I ran outside to ask her why she was taking her “O” signs down. She said, she was disgusted with Obama. She finally realized since she did not have a husband or kids she would not be receiving the tax relief that I see with two kids. She also made 150k last year and realized she could be taxed more if Obama got into office.
We have had many discussions over the past few months and she kept harping on Hope and Change. Today she wrapped up our conversation with this line. “This is Hope and Change that I do not want to be a part of!” She wants “nothing to do with socialistic policies that WILL bankrupt this country. Plus she is flat out scared what the democrats would do with no checks and balances in the government.”
I then asked her if she wanted to take down her other sign promoting the Democrat running for Senator? She walked over quietly and pulled that sign out of her yard as well. She was so upset with the politics that the democrats were running. She added one last thing… Thank God for Joe the Plumber, he made me see that spreading the wealth was not the way to make things better. Creating jobs and opportunities for all Americans was the way we needed to proceed. Amen Sister!

In the southern desert region of middle of nowhere Idaho we have a large community of Spartans (way too many of us veterans and retired military that will not go gently into that good night). I have already been approached to take a leadership role to start organizing for the worst should the Socialist win the election, they seem to think I am well informed on current political matters I have to confess to them that I only appear smart due to the information I receive from this and other conservative sites I have learned to trust. I have sworn to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America for over 30 years now a duty I will not stand down from even if it means I have to take part in an armed revolt against a tyrannical government.

The problem is not the coal industry becoming bankrupt, it is the creation of ‘cap and trade’ which is supported by both campaigns.
‘Cap and trade’ is fundamentaly flawed and is tantamount to the disatrous policies that sets floors and ceilings for prices in commodities like sugar, rice, milk, etc.
Where the hope begins and the thought ends is that ‘cap and trade’ is necessary to make clean coal economical. What ‘cap and trade’ is, is a thumb on the scale to give a leg up to building and using clean coal technology.

Stand fast dear readers. I am among the minority that thinks this is far from over. I have already voted (absentee) against Obama and I am hearing encouragement from my home state of Florida. Now is the time to help and put your body where your opinion lives. Volunteer, assist, do whatever you can. This is within reach– remember, it was supposed to be over already. Polls say otherwise. In Sacramento County alone, people are being fined for lighting a fire in the fireplace on retricted days. Those are the days when it is coldest, when the air doesn’t move.
Unfortunately, there are such a large number of morons in this country that still think, no matter what they are proven to the opposite, that people and man-made carbon etc., are causing this Global Warming crap and this will probably only excite them all that much more to vote this horrible human into the Presidency.
I am very skeptical about the polls.First off it is fact that they usually oversample Democrats.I pray we will win,even though it does seem we will have to drag McCain over the finish line.

Obama is breathtakingly stupid. At this moment, about all the US has is coal. Let me be clear. I, I, uh, uh. He wants to cripple this country, and make us all poor. I’ve said this all along. I, uh. Global warming? What if the entire continent of North America fell into the oceans, killing every living thing on it. Would that help prevent global warming? Would it help a degree, or two? Or would it do nothing? No one can say. So let’s make everyone poor.
Let’s see…no drilling in our own country, no nuclear plants, no coal, oh, and by the way, let’s cut the military budget by 25%, pull out of Iraq, and destroy our nuclear weapons because we know that Iran will do that if we will!! I once again renewed it on 5 Nov 01 entering into simple service for the same branch of service.
