By Michelle Malkin  •  November 2, 2008 10:30 AM

Sundy morning buzz: Everyone’s sending me the audio clip now up on YouTube of Obama telling the San Francisco Chronicle he’ll make it impossible for new coal plants to be built. The interview took place in January. The YouTube user is NakedEmperorNews, who uploaded Obama’s redistribution of wealth interview.

That news on Obama’s views on coal is going to be critical in PA and Ohio!

Also, I did some checking – this is from a relatively radical environmental site, so there is not much reason to discount the figures.

Coal generates roughly 54% of the power consumed in the US through over 600 separate plants. http://www.ucsusa.org/clean_energy/coalvswind/c01.html

If Obama puts them out of business, just where will we get our power from? It takes roughly 10 to 20 years to build a nuclear plant, and the cost is enormous. That timeline and expense does not factor in delays caused by environmental protest and litigation.

How do we replace over half of our current power needs? The only viable solution in the intermediate term is oil. Of course, the plants currently burning coal would have to be retrofitted at a hefty expense, but why would we do that?

We very recently got a lesson in our reliance on foreign sources of oil. We can be held hostage. Now, Obama opposed drilling domestically and offshore (says now he “may” do it), so he is pretty much wed to continued reliance on foreign sources. Not only that, he wants to INCREASE our reliance on foreign oil by requiring us to replace coal with oil. Insane.

Insane, unless there are other motives at work here. IF the US became energy independent, that would be close to $1 trillion a year that stayed within the US economy. Particularly hard hit would be the Marxist regimes ofHugo Chavez and the Muslim/Arab world whose economies are overly dependent on oil exports.

By killing coal and killing domestic oil production, Obama would be actually increasing our dependence on foreign oil and increasing the economic clout of foreign oil producers, most of whom have no qualms about using oil as an economic weapon against the US.

This is beyond naieve. It is downright dangerous. It would be national suicide to follow Obama’s path. The US would die a slow death, bled dry by other countries using their leverage in the oil markets to destroy us economically.

And Bill Ayers, Bernardine Dohrn, and Obama’s other marxist mentors would smile, knowing that their goal of destroying the US is within reach.

Sacracsm is not a substitute for an adult answer. If you cannot answer an adult question with an adult answer, you need to get off this site and go to an MTV or VH1 site.

The question stands. In the entire 222 year history of this nation we have not needed a National Security Force of any kind. Obama in January in Iowa said he would have a 250,000 man security force as powerful, as well equipped and as well funded as our military. I didn’t dream this up. Want to see the clip?

That is a comabt force equal to 30, 5000 man infantry brigades. What threat inside the US is that force needed for? It’s not for border security. There is no need to station a force with that much combat power on a border unless there is a threat of a military invasion.

Why would such a combat capable CIVILIAN force have. Remember miltary forces by Law cannot arrest citizens, but a CIVIIAN force could. So what is their mission?

This is instructive. We often pick leaders because we think we see in them things we see in ourselves. In other words: he is like me.

So, watershed reads all these nice things, that he/she/it believes in and consciously replaces the threat (a neo-gestapo government agency) with sugarplums and rainbows (Americorps and every other corps that an unbalanced mind can dream up) to block out the negative.

At some level, all the liberals who are worshiping at Obama’s altar are doing this. They refuse to see the dark side of the policies and rely on the hope of a better America. The problem is, hope is not a plan. All this hope isn’t going to advance the lives of Americans one inch! A thoughtful and detailed roadmap to a more secure and prosperous America is what we need. What Obama is giving his supporters is hope of outcomes with no hope of the means to get there.

Watershed shows us how they think, or whatever the opposite of thinking is.

Obama’s 250,000 Civilian Police Force has been tried before.

In Germany, they were called the EINSATZGRUPPEN.

In the SOviet Union, it was called the NKVD.

What it all amounts to, is the beginning of a police state. He is suggesting that the Police Forces of this country, arguably the best in the world, are inadequate to acheive his goals, or, “to acheive what we are trying to do”.

He claims that they, along with our own military is not enough, thus he wishes to form a completely different organization in order to police the populace of this country. That is the beginnings of a Police State in any book. It is the beginnings of asking people to turn on their neighbors, to report them for whatever crimes they deem necessary.

The parallels that coincide with everything the Obama Campaign has s=done or is stating they wish to do is STAGGERING on a historical level. And the willingness of the people of this country to go along with it, cheering him and lauding praises on him all the terrifying.

And these are the same people who decried the things that Bush was doing, or at least what they claimed he was doing, following the attack on our country on 9-11-01.

What is going to happen in two days? Are people going to be standing around, talking in hushed tones about how something like this could have happened?

Or will they be asking questions out loud about how they could have allowed something like that to have become so close to happening.

However in this babbling waste of ink/electrons show exactly how vacuous and empty headed Obama’s followers are, because they buy this crap.

First he says he’s going to expand the military ground forces by nearly 100,000 troops. He doesn’t say how since he’s going to cut the military budget by 25% – my guess is that he’s going to lay off the USAF. (Who needs air superiority in a war zone anyhow, It’s just air. Right Wathershed?)

This document (Other than outlining the Hitler Obama Youth) is probably the #1 reason why Obama should be expelled from the Senate for wasting taxpayers time. The section on his “solutions” for the military are nonsensical BS, empty words, and out and out lies.

He’s going to “Solve Recruitment and Retention Problems” by… (get this!) “reaching out to youth as well as parents, teachers and coaches.” That’s it – that’s the ONLY thing he says he’s going to do to resolve Recruitment and Retention problems.

    I can see it now:

    “Dear Sergeant Jones
Congratulations on your decision to retire. However as President I have decided to reach out to your wife and children. If you ever wish to see them again keep in mind your re-enlistment ceremony will be one week from tomorrow. Class A uniform. Don’t be late. Look Contrite.

    Your friend,
    Glorious Leader.

To paraphrase Major Kong: “I’ve been to a worlds fair, two rodeos and a picnic and this is the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen in PDF format.”

This moron even wants to take the Guard out of the hands of the Guard commanders: The legally elected governors of the states.

The only thing that Obama even got right was that the #1 nightmare that GI’s returning from Iraq face are Obama’s own people.

and of course Item V states that this pile of Obama’s ego masturbation will be paid for by tax increases.

The history of the Democratic party is horrific and embarrassing enough; from the destruction of the Indian nations, to the Civil War, the KKK, Jim Crowe, lynchings as party politics, the destruction of the American City (The top 10 fastest decaying cities are all run by guess who), and now the destruction of the American Economy by the Democrat Party.

This mental fecal matter is just frosting on the cake.

A Jackass is a fitting symbol for anyone who swallows this bull.

They get away with it because the leftist revisionists control the schools and most of the MSM and have been spreading lies for the better part of three decades – enough time to brainwash two generations.

You want change – put the MSM out of business and bust up the NEA and state socialist run teachers unions.

Home schooling, conservative run private schools and alternative media are ways to reintroduce the truth.

I cannot fathom how anyone with a brain could even contemplate electing Obama to the White House. Over these past months, we, on the blogosphere have been presented ample evidence that Obama has a very radical vision of what America should represent. Most of these clues have been in his own words, I repeat, his own words.
Other clues have been who he has chosen as friends, associates and working partners. I have yet to hear of any associate who you could possibly call main-stream.
Obama has lied and obfuscated[yes, I know, most politicians do], but he has turned it into an art form. He has shown that he has one face for the ‘proletariat’ and one face for his elitist friends.
He has no legislative accomplishments, and the only time he has actually had any executive experience, it was deemed a dismal failure. In fact over 100 million dollars was spread throughout his and Bill Ayers leftist causes, instead of directly to improve education. Do we really want this man and his willing accomplices in Congress, in charge of where our money is spent? Can we really trust him and Nancy et al, to make the right decisions? I think not.
I could excuse anyone whose information comes only from the MSM, but when I read the comments from our left-leaning posters, I really have to shake my head. You don’t even read any hesitation. The only one I’ve seen is Chapoutier. He has commented that he feels uneasy that we will not have any checks and balances in Washington. For that, I feel there is hope for him. At least it shows he thinks. But for the rest of them, I feel sorry that they have to go through life being told what to think.

There is a distinct difference. We call it the 2nd Amendment (with emphasis added):

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

The Constitution recognizes our God given right to own guns to protect the people from those who would threaten our freedoms.

If you look at our founding documents, they recognize that, under certain conditions, we the people have the right to lay the smack down on the government when the government oversteps it’s bounds. That’s Constitutional. Bowing to the government no matter what the government does (even the American government) is not Constitutional.

U.S. Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D. Toledo) whipped the crowd up before Mr. Obama took the stage yesterday telling them that America needed a Second Bill of Rights guaranteeing all Americans a job, health care, homes, an education, and a fair playing field for business and farmers.

And the joke’s on us! IN FACT, what he will do the day he gets elected is use a giant civilian military junta to turn our once proud but now blind and crippled nation into a horrible police state. All who dare speak out against the newly self declared King for Life will be summarily executed, and all their possesions taken and given to illegal aliens. It will be a dystopic nightmare; one we have never seen the likes of before. But warned about here!

The media is already on board with the violent overthrow, and have been informed of its details months ago, so fortunately no changes need to be made there.

And all of you, you brave patriots, well, you will be either 1) flaming out in glorious armed rebellion against the marauding horde of armed socialist zombies, taking out as many as you can before the inevitable, bitter end, or 2) hiding in your heavily armed bunkers for the rest of your lives, with nothing but cans of Red Bull, sticks of beef jerky, and of course laptops to post on the Michelle Malkin message boards. I never underestimate the evils and horrors that groupthink can cause. One person, who previously was too lazy or inept to do anything (but blamed everyone else for this problem), when combined in a group that is driven by the irrational idealism that it is someone else’s fault, can and will commit murder and genocide for their beliefs to eliminate their perceived problem, and never believe they have done anything wrong.

    History is full of examples.

That said, I have used a technique that has actually stopped a few rabid Obamaites. I simply pull the few dollars I have in my pocket, and say:

“This is MY MONEY. I’ve earned it, through hard work and sacrifice. I am willing to die to keep it. Are you willing to die for your candidate and his future government to try to take this from me?

Laughlin McDonald, who leads the ACLU’s Voting Rights Project, said he has never seen “an election where there was more interest and more voter turnout, and more efforts to suppress registration and turnout. And that has a real impact on minorities.”

The Obama campaign and civil rights advocacy groups have signed up millions of new voters for this presidential race. In Ohio alone, some 600,000 have submitted new voter registration cards.

Across the country, many of these first-time voters are young and strong Obama supporters. Many are also black and Hispanic.

Activist groups say it is this fresh crop of ballot-minded citizens that makes some Republicans very nervous. And they say they expect the dirty tricks to get dirtier in final hours before Tuesday.
