Well that is some good news.
Looks like Landrieu is going to win.
Wouldn’t it be strange if these iniatives pass and we have just elected the most liberal Senator and someone we don’t really know. Ironic…?
I see our lovely Boulder county voted for tax increases. ~sigh~
That’s the problem. He was chosen and no one knows anything about him. What does that tell you about this country?
The initiatives passed because we’re still a center-right country.
McCain lost because the GOP self-destructed. Not to mention the fact he was the drag on his own ticket.
California Proposition 8:
Ban on Gay MarriageCalifornia Proposition 8:
Ban on Gay Marriage
Yes 1,911,948 54%
No 1,613,174 46%
15% of precincts reporting
With Obama getting elected, can we finally rid ourselves of Affirmative Action?
It looks like the states do not want to limit abortion in any way, even the simple reasonable requirement that the parent or family member must be notified in advance. That is such a shame, but is consistent with the oversexualization of children and granting them adult rights for their adult behavior to benefit the lucrative abortion business. The propositions are all over the map. The one solid does seem to be the ban on gay marriage. Everywhere it’s on the ballot, it seems to be winning.
Thanks. I was just wondering about props 8 & 4. 4’s not looking so great.
We are no longer a culture that values life, unfortunately. I see that Washington is going to allow physician-assisted suicide.
Over at sfgate, they’re saying that Prop 8 will narrow as the urban precincts report. Guess what: those precincts are reporting, and it remains what appears to be a landslide victory for Prop 8. I’m truly surprised.
Prop 8 in California
No, he wants repatriations too. Have you read his book “Dreams From My Father”. I am bitterly disappointed McCain did not bring it up.
BroBama’s hatred for the white man is complete.
Arizona Proposition 202:
Hiring Illegal ImmigrantsArizona Proposition 202:
Hiring Illegal Immigrants
This measure would make a number of changes to state laws designed to prohibit the employment of illegal immigrants. The proposal clarifies that only employers who have actual knowledge that an employee does not have legal status would be at risk of having their business licenses suspended or revoked. The measure also increases penalties for identity theft relating to employment. It also adds fines on employers who pay improper “under-the-table” cash-only wages.Full results »1:00 a.m. EST, Nov 5 ‘08

Prop 8 is tightening.

Alas I think San Francisco results are still to be tabulated.
That’s with 25% reporting.
Well, at least that Pickens “plan” is going down in flames.
Michigan Prop 1 – Medical Marijuana passed. Ok.
Prop 2 – expanding embryonic stem research passed. Shudder.
Looks like CA’s parental notification will probably not pass. I guess parents are OK with allowing their 13 year olds to get abortions without their knowledge.
So much for parenting these days.
Californians are morons, voted overwhelmingly obama, but passes prop 8. they don’t think that now pelosi has nothing stopping her that she will make same sex marriage a federal issue and get it passed? California is stupid to the nth degree.
My friend sent me a text about obama winning and how great it was that since she did not make 250k her taxes were not going to go up. You are so right, these people had no idea what they were doing. If by some miracle she does not get a tax hike, hope she can afford things after the taxes on everyone else goes up. Clueless…completely clueless.
C’mon Prop 8!
Sad that many pro-life bills though are not passing. We’ve got work to do.
It’s not that parents are OK with allowing their own 13-year olds. It’s that they have bought into the ridiculous notion that other girls are all going to be beaten within an inch of their life if their parents find out they’re pregnant. In reality, California is much more the embodiment of the “Juno” model than a bunch of backwoods rednecks who would shun or injure their daughters at finding out they were pregnant. It’s such a lie!
Great, I just saw that Prop 7 is now moving into the Yes/pass column. Idiots. Are there any thinking Californians anymore?
Remember the number of states that did the same thing a few years back? Remember the court challenges that came AFTER THE PEOPLE HAD DECIDED?
It will happen again. That the only way the left can get its way. That, or lie, cheat, and steal, as they did this evening.
Vicki nailed it, that’s exactly what the No on 4 ads depicted.
Seems odd, a 14 year old can’t take a Tylenol to school but a secret abortion without her parents knowledge is A-OK.
In case you thought L.A County was full of morons:
You’re right!
More than two thirds say:
Increase the sales tax during a recession!
There’s still hope for this country
The morons of Massachusetts think that we are better off with the state taking our money and deciding how to spend it. Looks like too many people were willing to swallow whatever lies the teachers’ union fed them.
It’s just getting too expensive and too frustrating to live in a state where having a (D) after your name means you have lob for life.
If it rains here today it will be President Reagan shedding a tear for his country.
Gee, where conservatism was on the ballot, it won! Imagine that.
