I’m starting a fresh thread for the night. Just a reminder that you can catch me on PJTV sometime during the 8pm-9pm Eastern slot.

Scroll for rolling updates…

Tidbits:

The Real Clear Politics electoral map is here.

McCain takes Kentucky and W. Virginia; Obama takes Vermont.

Military ballots will be counted in Virginia, thank goodness.

Democrat Mark Warner has taken the Senate seat in Va.

Stay tuned…

***

8:15pm Eastern. NBC has called Penn. for Obama. Take it for what it’s worth…

So much for those bitter, clingy racists, eh, Barry O?

McConnell hangs on in Ky. Elizabeth Dole appears to be out in NC.

I can tell you this much: The Senate Republicans need a wake-up call. We need fresh, conservative leadership. McConnell had his chance.

***

8:22pm Eastern. Virginia is still too close too call.

NH to Obama.

8:42pm Eastern. Hearing that Georgia is going in the McCain column…

8:52pm Eastern. Sununu loses his Senate seat in NH.

9:19pm Eastern. Minnesota and Michigan go for O.

GOP Sen. Saxby Chambliss hangs on in Ga.

Fox and others have called Ohio for Obama.

10:55pm Eastern. Both Denver papers are calling Colorado for Obama. Also calling Democrat Udall the winner in the Senate race.

Virginia called for Obama.

Writing’s on the wall, folks.

If the difference is remians in such a slim popular vote, Obama’s vote-fraud machine is a much more likely culprit. It’s as you said awhile back, MsJustice, you noted that if Obama just scraped out a pop vote win then his win could rightfully viewed with skeptical eyes. A half million fraud votes here, a half million there – they tend to add up.

Well, I won’t die, and if Obama and his ACORN buds can’t totally rig the system by 2012, Obama’s policies, like pre-emptive surrender in Iraq and Afghanistan, and his promises to destroy the coal industry and ‘skyrocket’ electric rates should mean a 1980 Carter style defeat.

I just hope the damage to this country isn’t permanent.

But at least we avoided wide scale race riots, now we’ll just have the normal “we won the championship” style riots with only a few burned businesses, looted liquor stores and overturned cars.

I’ve seen and heard this many time. It’s a nice thought that gives one hope but I think is unlikely. The country has changed considerably since Carter. It used to be government dependency was frowned upon, in theory at least. No more. A majority of the population thinks it is the governments job to provide basic needs to everybody. A simple patriotism is regarded by the “well educated” as naive and provincial. Any profesion of traditional religious beliefs must be kept private to avoid being mocked as some type of dangerous religious nut. Carter, as misguided as he was, was proud of his country and was out to change Washington, not America. Obama and his followers are a different sort. They will do everything they can to reinforce the mindset that has brought us to this disaster. High on the list will be amnesty, with a fast track to citizenship for 15 million new Democrats and their families in time for 2012. If this happens, and the Dems will put it high on their agenda, I don’t see how the country can recover. America will be forever a very different place, and probably not in a good way.

i dont honestly believe edelweiss has ever read a book…the fact that the internet is accessible only convinces me that douches like that should never be shown how to use a keyboard. GOPigs? How unoriginal, boring, and typical of someone such as yourself with nothing better to do than act like a classless and contemptable @$$hat. Congrats on making an idiot of yourself on here, yet again.

Honestly…MJ does, in her way, make a valid argument. I disagree that BDS is not in fact valid…but its the actions of our party, and those who represent it, that have brought us to this place and time.

And now, if Obama gets this…it’ll be time to pay the piper.

Exactly as I predicted a year ago.

At least for the evening, I just cant bring myself to care. Even though edelweiss calls us pigs, its funny that really, for democrats, its literally pearls scattered before the swine. Democrats can hail a victory for all kinds of reasons…diversity, change, an end of Imperialism…but the fact remains is, their own leaders will be the cause of their (and sadly, our) demise politically. Do Democrats really believe that Obama gives one crap about them?

If you really think that, i have some LOVELY ocean front property in Missouri I would love to sell you.

McCain isn’t worth the vote either, IMO.

Over the course of the last few months, i’ve watched, mostly quiet. I’ve seen how this has gone, and watched as what i’ve said has come to pass. I’m not psychic, but anyone with 2 cents of intelligence can see that the “R” beside our names doesnt fit with the package the leadership is pushing.

I’m also not some yahoo calling to stock up on food, or bullets, or calling for a reforming of a party or some national rebellion.

When you wake up in the morning, the worst thing you’ll have to face is a bunch of smug democrats who can neither lose nor win with grace and humility. If that’s the case, so be it. If we lose, then I can take it as the situation presents itself. And these sacks of crap like edelweiss, who believe they are superior to me will continue with such idiotic banter while i continue to live my life and improve myself *without* having to rely on someone in the White House doing it for me. Those who follow this “we won so we must be right” ideology…bore me, honestly. But otherwise, you’ll still go to work tomorrow. You’ll still get gas at the Wawa down the street, and still order books on amazon.com’s site. Your life will, for the most part, really not change at first. and once Obama starts implementing policies…then you choose your next step.

But dissenting into panic, or acting like its the end of our civilization gets you nowhere. Panic, or fear, or irrational thought gives you nothing. Clear thinking and precise thoughts and actions yield results.

Don’t give up. Long as you’re breathing, and as long as you take part in the process, the battle never really is over. It just continues another day, with a different adversary.

For those who have been gracious to this point, my thanks. To those who have not, you should be ashamed of yourself. Gloating over a defeated enemy shows a lack of class. And that would simply be par for the course, methinks, for those who can neither win with dignity, nor accept defeat with their heads held high for putting up a good fight.

    Just my 2 cents.

The MSM wants us to believe Sarah Palin is somehow at fault.

She was supposedly inexperienced, despite more time serving as Governor than Obama spent on the floor of the Senate.

She is from the common people, working class, traditional values.

She’ll have four more years as governor of Alaska.

And the country club cons and milquetoast Republicans like Colin Powell, Kathleen Parker and Peggy Noonan will join the anti-Semite so far right they have gone to the left cons like Pat Buchanan (who ran for President with a lesbian communist as his VP candidate), on the outside, with no influence, lucky to be the token mush ‘Conservative’ on MSNBC or CNN.

I would much have preferred the country not take the extreme beating we will take in national security and economics the next four years, but 2006 finally ousted some dead weight like Lincoln Chafee, and we’ve tossed some more.

The party will be healthier than it has been in decades in four years, it is just that as a patriot I fear that some of the damage Obama will do, slashing the military, coddling dictators, ballooning the welfare class, abandoning traditional allies like Taiwan, Israel and the newer firm allies like the nations freed two decades ago from the Iron Curtain, will be a terrible price to pay.

I am sure all of the people buried at Gettysburg, Petersburg, and Normandy will be ever so impressed with your willingness to fight for the future of the country they died for.

    What BOLSHOI.

Take a lesson from 9/11. Don’t sit and wait to get hit again. Go to where the opposition is and engage them on their turf, AFTER you plan, prepare, and then execute.

I took an oath that still stands and I also followed a code that said, “I will never surrender while I still have the means to resist.” Well, I intend to resist this walk to socialism. If you want to sit it out, fine.

I am going to plan, prepare, and then go out to the Marketplace of Ideas and help show others how they can live their lives without the government doing everything for them.
