Unfortunately that Nanny-State Kool-Aid is going to be far more addictive than crack for far too many in this country than most realize today. I don’t believe in “pendulum” swings; we would’ve unsaddled Social Security and a host of other entitlements long ago were it true. Instead, this creeping irreversible socialism will forever be part of the fabric of this country, much to our cultural dilution and decline. Forget about 2012 to undo new Dem social programs. It ain’t gonna happen because too many leeches aren’t going to let it happen. It amazes me how so many voted Obama just to “get back” at Bush.
I also wish to thank Single Issue conservatives for whittling down the Repub primaries to a weak “centralist” nominee without any fire in his belly.

Speaking of “sign of the times”, it looks like two more commandments are about to bite the dust:
Thou shalt not covet (thy neighbor’s wealth.)
Thou shalt not steal (to spread the wealth.)
Are there any of the original Ten Commandments that have not yet been rejected by the Democratic majority in this country?
Why is everyone going ape over one garage? Just remember the words of Will Rogers and the example of Ronald Reagan.
Reagan always let things like this roll right off his back, because he knew his values were the right ones. He reacted to haters with a smile and never a harsh word. They WANT you to respond in an agressive way. Confound them.
And remember what Will Rogers noted, “Everyone has the right to their opinion but no one has the right to be taken seriously.”
The more we stay on message, the less we make it personal, the more frustrated they will be and the more childish they will appear to those who have no opinion.

This could be the best that that’s happened to conservatism since Carter. I just hate that we’ll have to suffer for the next four years to get there. Oh well, the Israelites had to wander the desert for 40 years before they entered the promised land, we’ll have another chance in 1/10th the time.

I have already started taking pictures, and started cataloging all things that seem radically liberal. (Super rights for homosexuals; citizen rights for illegal aliens; no parental control over public school curicculum; no parental rights for underage children.) Here in Northern California that might prove to be expensive.
I think with a Democrat majority, we will see alot of payback for perceived injustices. Hopefully, we will have enough conservative patriots around to help fight the libs off until 2012.
I can’t imagine with four years of radical dominance, that the American people will stand for the changes that will surely come. Be strong fellow conservatives…be strong! Pray that our military stands with the people…I hope it never comes to that!

I take it that the folks say such things have never actually seen hate. They’ve probably never been to a war-zone. They’ve probably never been to a country that’s suffered tyranny. Only folks who have never seen the face of evil could so flippantly use such an absolute term as “hate” for something as petty as supporting the opposition in an election in the United States. Yes, this is certainly a sign of the times.
On a side note, I guess when one’s life is so empty of purpose and meaning all one has left is drama, which Obama provides in abundance. People are drawn to it, which could explain the following he draws.

This night is going about as expected, which is ok. After two years of colossal failures, the Democrats will have no one left to blame. The pain they cause will hopefully spark a new found appreciation among Americans for better ideas, “conservative” ideas (not the McCain sort, but rather the Reagan/Goldwater sort), which will hopefully change the dynamics of Congress in 2010. If not, then it’ll get a little bit more painful. I’m beginning to believe that every generation needs a reminder as to how socialism is a bad idea. “A good scare is worth more to a man than good advice.” ~Ed Howe (This all sounds like something I read in the Old Testament. Something about being forgetful…)
For all those suggesting candidates for 2012–Please, stop! This last four year campaign (although in some ways eight) was WAY, WAY, WAY too long.
My “O Hell No” and “Nobama” bumper stickers are staying on my car…
Besides, we have House and Senate elections in 2 years that we need to work to get more conservatives in (at least get some trash out).
I need to buy Mark Steyn’s
“FEAR HOPE” sticker idea.
