The corruptocrats America deserves

By Michelle Malkin  •  November 5, 2008 07:12 AM

Corruptocrat/smear merchant John Murtha wins.

Corruptocrat/bribe freezer William “Cold Cash” Jefferson cruises to victory.

Corruptocrat/convicted criminal Sen. Ted Stevens is in a dead heat and may yet win re-election even as he faces up to five years in prison for seven counts of lying.

If this is the “Change” election, what the hell are these three most miserable miscreants still doing in Congress?

Could the transformational agents of change kindly explain?

Looks like the more things change, the more they stay the same.

If that many people are voting for those who are deceitful, who lie and steal, and who are nothing more than criminals…then that tells the state of mind our opponents have.

    Sad. Weak. Misinformed.

Because they will fit in well with the new administration.

I grew up in the Chicagoland area. I saw the total and full corruption of the system in Illinois, all the way up to the Governer’s office (Ryan), through the Mayor’s office (Washington, Daly, through the mayor of the small towns around me who took bribes daily from union organizations and development companies), through the police organizations who were more concerned about who was paying them to look the other way, and even out to the US Attorney’s office. I had my identity sold to an illegal in Illinois by the state DMV, and watched as I was ignored, passed around, and even talked to by the organizations in those positions above, even though I have the thief’s name, address, phone number, employer, and various other identifying items.

Ever wonder why the Chicago gun ban doesn’t work? Why the gangs run the streets, and drugs like meth and crack are so pervasive? Who do you think is bringing them in? It isn’t the gang-bangers…

And now, we have elected a Chicago politician to the highest office in the land. Solely because of the racism of those who see nothing but the color of his skin. Even though we tried to warn everyone about his lack of experience, his connections to terrorists and dictators both foreign and domestic, his corrupt connections (eg: Rezko), his specious reasoning, and the direct and overt racism he displays in his book The Audacity of Hope (Spoiler: It’s all whitey’s fault; all of them, even the ones that appear nice), they picked him because of his skin color, and said so on exit polling.

“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”
    Martin Luther King

We still are not there. Quite the opposite, I’m might say. A few more fitting MLK quotes:

“Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.”

“I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word in reality. That is why right, temporarily defeated, is stronger than evil triumphant.”

“Let no man pull you low enough to hate him.”

Obama’s sweep is grander than any Hitler had, will his reach be as fast and as hard as iron?

How do we feel, today? People are happy, they buy the paper for a momento. Peaceful, looking forward, happy — just like the Germans were after the election of March 1933.

In any case the Electoral College hasn’t voted yet; the Pretender hasn’t yet been sworn.

There still can be Acts of G-d to intervene, but will there be? Or is the tiller of American History tied and set for the breakers and maelstrom?

The hordes of post-Kennedy “Americans”, with their grubby hands out for more of our wealth, celebrate as they continue to pick the corpse of the U.S. clean. In my lifetime, I have watched the U.S.A. go from the world’s only super-power to a third-world banana republic.

My question then is to those people – how is it the R’s had their most centrist candidate and lost, Shays (an “almost” D voting record) lost, Dole (pretty centrist) lost.
My “prescription” – have a conservative plan and ARTICULATE it. Over and over. Did I say ARTICULATE it?
Conservatism makes sense. Conservatism is logical. Conservatism is a winner. But if nobody knows what it is – the offer of free lunch is more enticing.

Suck it up and get the GOP on track. Find the rudder that broke off a long time ago.

And please, in the name of sanity, do not pin your hopes on Palin. She will ensure defeat. It’s clear that the urban centers are now the factor they never were before (see Virginia, Florida, Ohio, PA by county). Do what’s right and they’ll come to you. If you ignore them, you lose. If you chase them, you compromise too much.

And Rs need to polish their brand and not publicly flog people like Lott and Allen for “racist” comments.

I am curious to those that still cling to the republican party where you think this election is going to take your party.

You decried anyone who dare vote against a candidate who never had a chance against a democrat and is anything but conservative or a man to fight for our liberties. His campaign was pathetic and he perfected the persona of a Senator the entire way through. He stole our primary with the aid of the media and democrats voting him through and then pretended to be a conservative in the lasts months.

From what I saw last night, the republicans are going to take a few things away from this election and their stupidity will have them looking to the media and the democrats for answers. They think what won the election was “independent” voters and the young vote. Pandering to these groups will never include a fight for personal liberty and responsibility because these groups have never learned it and have been inundated with the opposite. If you care, you better stand up now and express that it wasn’t these groups that lost the election for McCain. They may have won it for Obama, but his way of getting voters is different (or it should be and has to be) than the way a conservative gets votes.

This election was not won because the republican party didn’t pander to liberals in the electorate and it was not lost because conservatives didn’t vote for McCain. When is it that the GOP will learn there is no reason for a liberal to vote republican, even if they move as far left as possible? McCain and the republicans lost this election, like they have been losing and selling out for the last 12 years.

Here are a few pointers for those who may be interested in changing the GOP.

#1 Calling yourself a conservative does not make you one. Quit letting these republicans hijack a principle to further their career.

#2 Stay actively involved because they will steal our liberties every moment they get and you can guarentee they won’t be informing us ahead of time.

#3 Quit settling for getting half or a portion of what you want and thinking conservatism won. It didn’t, it lost!

My 2 cents. First – your getting your GED demonstrates something that many never have/get. Initiative. Even those who stayed in school and “graduated”. In my working career, a high percentage of time the GED person was a far superior employee to the “normal graduate”. – So please please please do not take GED as anything inferior.
Secondly – some of the most brilliant people I know are not brilliant because of school – they are brilliant because they use the God given brain to acquire knowledge (and hopefully wisdom) from any and all sources. If a person can read, they can learn almost anything else. There are tons of resources out there for home schooling parents.
Critical thinking skills are not something taught in most formal education. Of all of the things a student NEEDS to learn, critical thinking is right up there at the top. The best place for teaching critical thinking is home.
Whether or not you feel qualified to home school, I’m quite sure you are far more qualified in life than most of your daughters degreed teachers.

Well then, get her out of there. After this election, EVERY conservative should consider pulling his/her children from those indoctrination camps known as public schools. Think the schools are bad now? Just wait until Obama and his friends (such as Professor of Education Bill Ayers) do for the nation’s schools what they did for the Chicago public schools.

If you can’t afford private school, consider homeschooling. I don’t know what state you live in. In Virginia, you could decide to homeschool today. Just pull the child out of school, and you have 30 days to file the paperwork. I find homeschooling high school is in many ways easier than elementary school because it is mostly self-teaching, not “schooling.” And if she’s that miserable at school, she has that much more incentive to make homeschooling work.

Right! I spent a lot of time with my daughter, gently teaching her to think clearly, logically, and for herself. It worked brilliantly. She’s 21, runs her own business and has a 4.0 average, studying biology. My opinion, for what it’s worth: Invest lots of time and energy, and teach your kids to follow truth wherever it may lead, even if it means facing errors in your own beliefs and gaps in your own knowlege. If you consider your child’s success a reward to you, then I guarantee you’ll be rewarded.
