Child abuser: Obama-supporting teacher bullies soldier’s daughter

By Michelle Malkin  •  November 6, 2008 04:28 PM

This is ghastly. If you are a parent with elementary schoolchildren, you will hit the roof. A teacher in Cumberland County, N.C. near Fort Bragg (NOTE: she is no longer in Asheville) was caught on tape by Finnish documentarians making a film about Barack Obama’s supporters. The teacher, Diantha Harris, uses the classroom as a propaganda vehicle to shove her politics down the children’s throats.

Watch her bully a little girl who dares to answer “McCain” when asked whom she supports for president. The child is the daughter of a soldier. Watch the teacher mock the girl and her father (“So that mean yo’ daddy could stay in Iraq for another hundred years!”). Watch the little girl’s eyes well up in tears. Is this the kind of education reform Barack Obama advocates?

This is child abuse plain and simple. The “educator” should be disciplined, fired, forced to apologize publicly, and banned from the classroom. From Belch via Allahpundit:

Partial transcript:

Harris:We want to talk about the presidential election. I want to ask you, who are you pulling for? Raise your hand.

Student: Obama.

Harris: You pullin for Obama. Who you pullin for?

Student: Obama.

Harris:Any of you pullin for John McCain? That’s fine, say him as well.

Student: Obama.

Student: Obama.

[Cathy, the daughter of an American soldier answers McCain.]

Harris:John, oh lord, John McCain.

Oh Jesus, John McCain.

Ok, now I wanna axe you somethin.

Why are you pullin for John McCain? It’s ok, but why are you pullin for John McCain?

Cathy: I thinks it’s because my parents are going for him too.

Harris: Ok, your parents are going for him. Why are you pullin for Ba-RACK. Barack.

Student: I just want a black president sometimes.

Ok, you want a black president.

Student: The reason why I want Barack Obama is because he’s making good changes in the good country and stuff like that.

Harris: So, he’s making good changes for our country. Now can you tell me just a little bit more, like what type of changes?

Like not having big fights between Iraq and having soldiers killed.

So in other words, Barack is going to end that war in Iraq. What do you all know about that war in Iraq?

[Harris addresses Kathy] Talk, cause yo daddy in the military. Talk. It’s a senseless war! And by the way, Cathy, the person that you’re picking for president said that our troops could stay in Iraq for another hundred years if they need to!

[Camera pans to Cathy, in near tears.]

Harris: So that means that your daddy could stay in the military for another hundred years!

Some stupid “journalist” with Newsweek said there’s a “creepy cult of personality” around Obama. Uh, yeah ya think?! Welcome to what conservatives have been talking about for at least a year now! These people are amazing.

Have the President-Elect (sigh) call this little girl and tell her how he is proud of her having beliefs even if counter to his.

But tell her he is proud of her daddy and she should be also.

If Obama wants to generate some good will towards those citizens who didn’t support him, this would be a good gesture.

What folks like MM, BAL, Joy, and Whitetracsh are proving is that you’re no different than the fringe left. At least MM is just trying to create site hits and compete with Ann Coulter for brash insanity. What’s your excuse for hypocrisy? You mock so-called Derangement Syndrome when it’s against your party’s president, than you embrace when it’s against Obama. Real mature there. You’re two sides of the same coin. Save your strawman talking points. Find a quote where I’ve even insinuated that Bush is responsible for something as vile as a culture of child abuse. You’re full of it. First, don’t tell people what they know and what they don’t know. Do I think Obama issued a directive to abuse children- no, but his heavy-handed tactics to shut down dissent (truth squads) are right out of Saul Alinsky’s Handbook for Radicals. He also told people to get in the faces of people who don’t agree. He did this.

Second, are we now supposed to make nice nice and unify now that the left is in power? Funny, no effort whatsoever was made to reach out to conservatives or respect Bush as president. From day one it has been nothing but hateful invective and BS or should I say BDS. Also, don’t be so sure Obama is going to last for two terms. He hasn’t even slept in the White House yet and already the assumption is he will be reelected. Overreach, keep overreaching.

If she had attacked Obama in the same way, the MSM would have had their trucks and hundreds of journalists down there in a flash.

Michelle, Is there a way we get messages to this little girl to let her know that there is a country full of people who respect her dad and her family for their duty to this country? Thanksgiving is just around the corner and I’d like to share a bit of what little wealth I have left with this family to show my gratitude.

I agree. MM, can you find an address of a local bank or maybe a church to see if they would accept things for that little girl? I would like to be able to send her a card and some money, or a gift. She deserves to know that real Americans do not feel like that (insert expletive of choice) excuse for a teacher and a human being.

Folks, this is the future of all public “education.” We are no longer a free country. God DAMN what this nation is becoming, thanks to people like this evil teacher and the “Rev” Wright.

With people like this and Obama as president, you will see a Nazi-like state where little children like this poor little girl taken away from their parents to be brainwashed, and the parents either institutionalized or murdered.

This is a brutal regime coming, and folks just don’t get it. Idiots like Bill O’Reilly is still out there saying that Obama is reasonable and decent, and they just cannot see how evil and ruthless he really is.

Our rights as free people are on the verge of being crushed, those in opposition to it will be taken away (White Christians mostly), and evil whores like this “teacher” will be on the sidelines cheering. God help us.

This is child abuse plain and simple. The “educator” should be disciplined, fired, forced to apologize publicly, and banned from the classroom.

When it came to my children the social niceties go bye bye – right out the window. I thought high school graduation was a big deal and at the time it was. I thought Viet Nam was life changing and for a time it was.

But when that first child was born and the nurse handed him to me the universe indeed did change-I was no longer the center. I did become a gentler man, more aware and considerate; and swore total retaliation to anyone or thing that hurt them. I never had to and for that I do give thanks.

I never had a Diantha Harris in my life: she would damn her mother for giving her birth. But I would pick my time-patient, cold blooded type I can be. The hell with that heathen slut.

Well, the “educator” is certainly following Obama’s order to get in the little girl’s face for her support of McCain. Obama is secretive about his work with terrorist Ayers on plans to indcotrinate children, so we don’t know how much of this was officially prescribed by him.

But the most telling thing here to you, MsJustice, should be the mirror. An adult verbally assaults a litte girl and you are making excuses. That speaks volumes of the extreme wrongness of mindset that Obama is pushing and of what caused this to happen in the first place.

You lost, and now your cranky and dishonest. You’re just like the fringe left after Bush won in 2000 and 2004. Go ahead and blame Obama for child abuse. Call him a Marxist Muslim. Be obsessive over Ayers, Wright and Khalidi.

Ms”justice”, you have no idea what matters. The fact is that Obama’s associations with these cretins (Ayers, Wright, and Khlidi) are the only things that matter in this.

You FOOL! How can you possibly sit there and say that the people who populate his circle of associates, friends, and influences don’t matter? Obama SOUGHT OUT these people to associate with. They didn’t just coincidentally all live in the same neighborhood, as Obama tried to imply.

And this “teacher” is precisely the type of person who roams the halls of congress today. Everything she is “teaching” is what they want every child in America to think and believe. She didn’t say ANYTHING to the contrary of what people like John Murtha or Nancy Pelosi have been saying for the past five years.

If anyone is lacking in intellectual integrity, it’s folks like YOU who won’t get it until they start dragging folks away. They want to destroy freedom of speech (equating its regulation with the regulating of PORNOGRAPHY), they want to destroy industry, enterprise, and initiative (for the sake of economic “JUSTICE”), and spread misery around (“because that’s good for everybody”).

What don’t you get? How is it if a Republican candidate is merely ACCUSED of missing his national guard drills (on the basis of forged documents) that it becomes the basis of a huge scandal that eventually brought down the CBS “news” network, but when it’s brought out that EVERY SINGLE Obama association is a radical America-hating scumbag, then WE’RE being dishonest by doing so?

Just goes to show that some will simply defend the indefensible.

We won’t be seeing much of her from now on. Here she must have had the sudden epiphany that she has to express whole-hearted approval of such things as get-in-their-faces child-abuse – as we have here – in order to support Obama. Very few people can (publicly)live with that disconnect from the most basic of human decency.

If some teacher invoked Obama’s “get ‘em” political rationale to attack a little girl who supported Obama, that teacher should also be fired right off the bat.

Setting aside the sheer wrongness of “educators” politically indocrinating students, it’s just wrong to attack any child. MsJustice has just realized she will have to try to keep justifying such shameful attacks for four years. I know I couldn’t do it and live with myself, so I don’t blame her from sheepishly bowing out.
