Child abuser: Obama-supporting teacher bullies soldier’s daughter
This is ghastly. If you are a parent with elementary schoolchildren, you will hit the roof. A teacher in Cumberland County, N.C. near Fort Bragg (NOTE: she is no longer in Asheville) was caught on tape by Finnish documentarians making a film about Barack Obama’s supporters. The teacher, Diantha Harris, uses the classroom as a propaganda vehicle to shove her politics down the children’s throats.
Watch her bully a little girl who dares to answer “McCain” when asked whom she supports for president. The child is the daughter of a soldier. Watch the teacher mock the girl and her father (“So that mean yo’ daddy could stay in Iraq for another hundred years!”). Watch the little girl’s eyes well up in tears. Is this the kind of education reform Barack Obama advocates?
This is child abuse plain and simple. The “educator” should be disciplined, fired, forced to apologize publicly, and banned from the classroom. From Belch via Allahpundit:

So in other words, Barack is going to end that war in Iraq. What do you all know about that war in Iraq?
[Harris addresses Kathy] Talk, cause yo daddy in the military. Talk. It’s a senseless war! And by the way, Cathy, the person that you’re picking for president said that our troops could stay in Iraq for another hundred years if they need to!

Well, bede, all politics set aside – when a person is forced to give up even the most basic agreed on tenets of humanity (e.g. that attacking a child is wrong) to defend their candidate or ideology, they should be ashamed to show their face in public. If I made excuses for an “educator” who verbally assaulted children in service to a candidate I supported, I’d have to resign from the human race.
The worst bullying a little girl should see in school is having her pigtails dipped in a naughty boy’s inkwell, not nasty verbal assaults by a “teacher” inspired to such attacks by any political figure.
It seems most GOP types I know respect the fact that you don’t do such things. I cannot say that i don’t put it past most dems to try to take advantage of their positions. Too many Dems in government jobs…no surprise.
I’m a teacher and I have to deal with morons like this every day. In fact one woman who teaches 3rd grade at my school discussed with her students how Muslim pray. When I asked when she would teach them how Christians and Jews pray she just laughed and walked away. When I have children I might home-school them myself even though I teach in a public one.

I call fair the fact that you’re defending yourself against the issues with the teacher. i’ve read your posts from here today. You’re clearly not advocating or condoning child abuse. Attempts to paint you in that light are not correct. And no, Obama didnt send this woman an email to be hateful to this child. This disgrace to her profession chose to do this on her own. Rational people arent going to blame Obama for the mistakes of someone else that’s clearly unrelated.
But the part i have to at least pull your card a little on is cheapshots and how people treat one another. Notwithstanding, you present good arguments. But if we take others who represent the same party here on the boards (and no, not blaming you for their actions, but pointing them out), dems have taken loads of cheap shots at repubs for quite some time. Earned or not, I could make the case that more often than not, I’ve had to defend myself on a position from which personal attacks and cheapshots against the party i belong to are more of the rule, and not the exception. Again, not pinning that on you. You and I agree to disagree and do so without calling each other names or degenerating into mudslinging. And that is the hallmark of good conversation.
I would address the concern people have about Ayers, Wright, and Khalidi. Perhaps some dont believe it important. Some do, and thats fine. I can answer for me, only in the respect that I take into account the associations people keep, and where their heart is, that shows me, in part, their character at large.
Confucius said “Look at the means which a man employs, consider his motives, observe his pleasures. A man simply cannot conceal himself!” I extend that to his associations as well.
Do i think its the most important thing? Hell no. I see the projected 200,000 jobs lost in the next quarter, and places like Circuit City letting 20% of their workforce go, among other things, as much more important. I see the issues my grandparents, and millions of others are having, simply living and paying for the basics, as vastly more important. I see many, many other things which require our more immediate and focused attention.
But………..that doesnt mean I turn a blind eye to other things as well. I simply believe that his associates and associations make it harder to trust what he says, and makes me look harder at what he does.
But i will agree that basing an election on it, trying to scare people out of the vote and so on…is a failure. But these considerations into his character and the character and connections of those with which he associates, at least deserves scrutiny.

On a larger scale, she is the one giving tests and grading papers. The kids are on the receiving end, with few options. Without choice in education (vouchers) the kids are victims. This educator(?) should lose her license for her behavior.

Imagine, day after days, for years on end, this unending stream of lies, deceptions, and guilt inducing hatred for American and its institutions.
That this little girls’ parent have not … umm … used “excessive force” against the district officials is a miracle of self control. Actually I fervently wish they had.

Good post, and thanks for being HONEST about my views. Well agree or agree to disagree down the road. I got sucked into some crap today, and that’s may fault. Purplepeep surprised and disappointed me with his blatant lying about my views, but that’s his problem, and now I know where he and I stand.
I think some of the association links are weak, and some were purely for political reasons(Wright, Ayers). It’s just a bunch of Chicago machine game crap to rise to the top. I think Obama will keep us safe, and do a solid job. I don’t for a second believe he shares the hateful views of Ayers and Wright. I respect your reasons for skepticism.

I came from a lower working-class background in a neighborhood that was “diverse” before that term became a meaningless PC buzzword. The neighborhood certainly wasn’t “Rev”. Wright’s lily-white gated community!
But everyone looked out for all the neighborhood kids – not just their own children and there was real “community” (again, not just the buzzword). You didn’t want to be a child abuser in my neighborhood or you’d have everyone to deal with.
So it’s going to be a sad life for MsJustice the next four years, as basic humanity is replaced by Obama-driven inhumanity like this. And ya just can’t get much lower than abusing and brow-beatibg little girls.
Helene, I agree with everything you said in #209, however I am willing to bet my non-existent tax refund that this is not an isolated incident. We hear of this happening more often than not. She just happened to get caught. As someone said earlier, tenure, even in grade school levels should not exist. Merit pay should be the only way teachers get an increase in pay. Everyone else pretty much has to play by that rule. We all understand that the person that sits in on classes can give a pay raise by what they’ve just observed. That too, is also subjective. What you saw was one thing, what I saw was different. Talk about a good ol’ boy network, the NEA is one of the best. We all know which way they lean. This is not to say under any terms that all teachers are that way. They are not. But if you’re in with the ones running the schools or the school system, you’re safe. Things get swept under the rug. They do stick together. No doubt.

This poor little girl is stuck with that fat whore for who knows how long? She is too young to quit school. I’m not at all for quitting school but who’s to blame her if she did? How can she learn in that environment anyway? I had a situation with a teacher when in 6th grade over my dog getting killed and she said in front of the class “it’s just a dog”. I stopped learning from that point on. I got my GED many years later but my school attitude was shot. I will pray for this girl and her family that justice be done with that fat witch. However, since Tuesdays election there is more of this to come………..much more. God pleassssssssse bless America!!!

If Obama had a decent bone in his body he would condemn this “educator” and, at the very least, have her apologize to the girl, her parents, the class and her school district. That is, if he didn’t approve of her actions.
And you know Dan, not trying to get off topic because this thread should be dedicated to the removal of that uh, “educator”, but wonder why it’s ok for churches that are tax exempt to promote a particular candidate, but Heaven forbid, you say Merry Christmas or sing religous carols at Christmas time at a public school? Should not the church lose it’s tax exempt status? And now it’s called winter break instead fo Christmas vacation. Go figure. Kids that age shouldn’t be exposed to that kind of crap. When I was in high school back in 1970 there was a whole generation of Bill Ayers’ classmates out to indoctrinate us. One of my history teachers said that Spiro Agnew wasn’t worth the price of the bullet it would take to put him down. Being a rebel, I ignored him and became conservative.

Cumberland County is the home of Fayetteville. Fayetteville is the home of Fort Bragg. Fort Bragg is the home of the 18th Airborne Corps and the 82nd Airborne Brigade and Special Forces. I would almost bet that the majority of students at that school have some connection with the military, either their parents are in the military or their parents are civilians employed by the military. I would bet that there will be some retribution for these remarks by the school board.

Considering the teacher’s union is a sidekick to the Democratic party, I consider this kind of behavior part of the plan for indoctrinating children at a young age.
I received a reply to my email from one of addresses listed in posting #139, stated the woman never worked in that school district. It’s probably too late now for most now, any in the future I’d ignore that list of names and email addresses.
Please. That is weak. My 72 year old strict Mennonite grandfather who has never taken a drink or uttered a bad word in his life (as far as I know) adjusts his glasses by extending his middle finger, and only his middle finger and pushing the glasses up.

How did this marble-mouthed fool get a teaching certificate? Is she even speaking English? Standards for teachers in public schools have certainly deteriorated in the 45 years since I attended one.

We do in fact need to pay teachers. I never said we had to retain bad ones, and the “wrong place” comment was in respons to the fact that a bunch of people here seem to be sending off missives to some poor innocent school district based on faulty data.
I had the privilege of going to some very good schools and there were always creeps like this pushing their opinions as curriculum. The worst were those who would grade you in terms of how amenable you were to their indoctrination.
This woman has about an 75 IQ. What is she doing teaching children?
That poor little girl. All I can think about is the look on her face.
It may have been made by a Finnish documentarian, but the subtitles are definitely in Swedish. So where was this film to be shown? For Swedish Television?
Anyway, the teacher was wrong. If I were her parents, I would be looking at some sort of disciplinary action for the badgering of my daughter when it didn’t pertain to the education.
Yes, the shame is that this Obama-inspired attack is SOP for Dem “educators”/Obama supporters/the NEA.
It would be nice if this was a one-off,but it’s becoming the public school system norm. Since Dem teachers are extremely nervous about being recorded most reports of their violations are written.
But sometimes a student catches them – remember Jay Bennish – a “geography teacher” whom a student caught on tape during one of the Bennish’s psychotic rants? It’s the usual Bush is Hitler and Obama’s “spiritual” mentor’s line about how America got what it deserved on 9-11.

The underlying question you did not answer was, are you more than happy to spread YOUR wealth around? Not paying for services we all need, but giving out what you have rightfully earned to someone that hasn’t.
This Harris woman does not sound intelligent at all. They were supposed to discuss politics, i doubt seriously that this woman knows political subjects, she probably does not even know what the job of Speaker of the House is. All she knows is she likes BHO and he is going to bring change, what change i don’t really know but it will be good, pretty much like 70% of the uninformed voters that flooded the polls for the chosen one this election. She also believes that schools, not parents, should be responsible for the social behaviors of children. This is sickening.
Teachers are there to help students learn how to think…not what to think.

We had a three letter carriers report to work at my office in Obama Tshirts Wednesday, a clear violation of the Hatch Act, but it doesn’t approach the evil done to that soldier’s daughter.
“Yes we can” do whatever the hell we want now, apparently.
It is way more damaging to the child than belittling implies when you harass the child of deployed military.
People who teach these children are supposed to have knowledge of the emotional trauma of deployment.
Deployment is REALLY HARD to deal with.
This is why we homeschool!

This is what our world has come to; far left radicals tormenting and humiliating our children who have the guts to stand apart from the crowd. They even have the unmitigated audacity to drag pregnant teenagers and mentally handicapped children through the ringer!
To paraphrase “The One’s” Michelle – This is the first time in my life that I’ve been ashamed of my country!
Oh – and the teacher had better hope that the child’s father, and the thousands of other dedicated men and women who choose to defend this great country stay in the military for a hundred years. If not, she just might find herself getting hiney-ho’d by terrorists in her own home.

She’s a blatant, pathetic liar who got caught with her hand in the cookie jar. This kind of partisan political non-speak is all too common in the Age of Obama.
I am active duty military getting ready to PCS to Italy and I have a 4 1/2 year old daughter. This kind of thing both scares and infuriates me. I am thinking of putting my child in an Italian school offbase but I wonder how their school system fares against our obviously broken one. Anybody have any suggestions? I grew up military and in DOD schools and know their reputation is higher than that of American public schools…but that was over 14 years ago.
This is the liberal, socialist re-education that happens in a communist totalitarian society. This is what is going on now. You can only imagine what can happen a few years from now. Home schooling or private/independent or church schooling are the only alternatives to this mis-education. My comment about Roger Tamraz pales in comparison.
