New national anthem: “My president is black”
There is a new national slogan/anthem catching on among America’s youth. It’s a popular rap song, a t-shirt, and a taunting chant.
It is this: “MY PRESIDENT IS BLACK.”
Go ahead and Google it. They’re blasting it on the streets of Chicago, saying it like a prayer in Durham, singing it on campus, and putting it on their kids’ clothes in Harlem.
Scenes like this were repeated across the country after Election Day:
Outside, cars drove across campus, honking triumphal horns as passengers leaned out windows heralding the news of Obama’s unprecedented win. Students giddily repeated the refrain, “My president is black.”

You couldn’t find a single copy of the Chicago Tribune or Chicago Sun-Times on newsstands or in boxes anywhere in the city, from Hyde Park up to Evanston. And at least two tricked-out cars on shiny rims that rolled slowly down Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in the historic Bronzeville neighborhood on the city’s gritty South Side were blasting what appeared to be the city’s new unofficial hip-hop presidential anthem: Young Jeezy’s “My President Is Black.”

The energy around Benedict’s campus was palpable Wednesday, as students walking to and from classes excitedly discussed the election, some shouting “President Obama!” and singing lyrics to a popular song about Obama by the rapper Young Jeezy, “My President is Black.”
And this, from reader L. in Cobb County, Georgia:
My senior at an upscale Cobb County Georgia (Newt’s old district) high school came home today in tears. Every black student at this school, where race isn’t usually an indicator of whether or not the teens are friends…they all get along and are for the most part, almost all college bound… was wearing their Obama t-shirts today. Many of them said, “My president is BLACK.” Many had Obama’s head printed on cardboard and waved them through the halls taunting the white kids with, “McCain sucks” and “F– McCain.”
Anyone who’d previously professed support for McCain is being taunted with “racist.”
My daughter asked the assistant principal what would happen if she came to school tomorrow with a t-shirt that said, “My president is white” on it. The answer was something like, “I’m with you, but there’s nothing we can do about it.”
Obama supporter and rapper Young Jeezy, who worked the phone banks for his candidate before Election Day, penned “My President Is Black” in time for the Democrat convention in August and invoked it after Obama’s victory. Here’s the video (language warning/not safe for work):

Barack Obama’s ascent was supposed to heal the racial divide. It’s having the opposite effect in some parts of the country.
Perhaps poet Maya Angelou will include them in her next meditation on the “president of the bigots.”

Could it be pay back time to whitie?
People who voted for Obama did it for only one of two reasons. Either because he is black (rascism + white guilt) or because they believed in his policies (socialism). Both are wrong, but the rascist vote is much, much worse.
I don’t find this one bit surprising. My feeling was that the black community would be as obnoxious as possible with the election of what they consider to be one of “them”. I’m just surprised there weren’t riots everywhere in celebration. I’ll give them credit for their restraint in that area at least.
Is this a song that we might be able to sing as we trim the Christmas tree this year?

Their President is Black and future bleak. And if Janet Napolitano of Arizona is made Attorney General I am guessing we will see Ruby Ridges all over this country. It seems Democratic Women named Janet enjoy killing people.

It is so inexcusably sad when so many people hinge their self worth, efforts, and successes on whether or not some complete stranger who happens to have the same skin tone is successful.
Every individual should strive for their own part of the American dream for themselves and their family. NO-ONE lacks the liberty to do so. Any such illusory shackles are self-imposed. Racial issues will never go away until race is IGNORED in all things by all people.

This is a friend of a friend story, but it sounds like it could have happened…
A guy was driving on the interstate and he came up behind a car driving slower than the speed limit in the left lane. He flashed his lights, but they refused to move out of his way. He ended up passing them on the right and noticed that the driver and passengers were black. A short distance later, he pulled off at a rest area. As he was getting out of his car, the blacks he had passed pulled up behind him blocking his car. They all jumped out, surrounded him, and began to threaten him. One thing he remembered them saying is, “things are going to be different when Obama is president”. Luckily, the guy was able to reach into his car and grab his pistol.
I fear the blacks will become emboldened with the thought that they are in charge now and we’ll hear more stories like this. If anything, I think race relations are going to be set way back.

When referring to Barack Obama in the future, why not refer to him as Precedent Obama, instead?
Since his candidacy was solely based upon race and very little more, and there’s never before been a black American head of state, is he not a Precedent?

I saw these “My President is Black” t-shirts today at a local black owned print shop. This same shop was earlier selling what I suspected were non-licensed t-shirts using the photo from Obama’s US Weekly magazine cover.
In case you haven’t noticed, the rules only apply to us. Not to them. 50 years of handouts have created more and larger hands to fill and sadly, white guilt is largely to blame for the problem and the election of this fraud.

I love this definition but I cannot claim it. I found it in Charlton Heston’s book “The Courage To Be Free” published in 2000 page 81. I recommend the book, if you can find it.
It’s a black thing, and I just don’t understand.
On my local radio station, 2 very popular black pastors were guests of the talk radio personality. They were taking phone calls from people about their thoughts on Obama’s win. A lady asked how 2 Christian pastors could support a candidate that is radically against everything they believed in, and their collective response was pretty much “we don’t agree with his social ideas, but he’s black like us and it seems that this is the right time to get behind the ‘brutha’ to show the world that a black man can finally make it in this country”.
My first thought was – what about the hundreds of famous black people who hold offices and positions of learning that have conservative values, yet are ridiculed constantly for their stances?

Ok this statement is in general terms.
I am 51 years old. Growing up I never heard my parents, either one of them, ever ever say anything negative about black people. Yes, I did hear some racist statements from some of their friends and other kids as I grew up. I also think that was the same with an overwhelming percentage of white people in central Ohio.
At the same time around our country there were 90+ percent of black parents saying horrible things about “whitey”, in their homes with their kids believing the cause of all evil on earth was due to the white man.
This resulted in most white folks being open minded treating all people as human beings and doing their best to work and live in harmony with everyone. On the other hand it resulted in black folks with huge chips on their shoulders and excuse after excuse that their lot in life wasn’t fair and its ok to blame whitey for everything.
B. Hussein is not a uniter and his ascent has everything to do with race. He will not address the problems in the black community because he and his racist wife are part of the problems. They believe in Black Liberation Theology. That pretty much sums it up.

You have a very valid point. I spent nine, almost ten, years as a police officer in Kansas. I remember to this day a 4-6 year old little boy who happened to be black. I would stop in this neighborhood to talk to the residents and conduct community policing. The little boy walked up to me as I was handing out baseball cards. First words out of his mouth were that he hated me. Yes, that is a quote. The only place he could get that from was home. Needless to say he did not get a baseball card. It took me a month and I changed his mind. Cute kid too. I pray that he turns out well and finds success.
