Send a message to Sarah Palin

By Michelle Malkin  •  November 6, 2008 12:57 PM

Tons of readers are asking me how to get a personal message to Sarah Palin and offer her support in the face of all the ugly, anonymous attacks from back-stabbing blabbermouths on the McCain campaign.

Here’s a quick petition site I created where you can sign and leave your comments.

    Governor Palin,
You are the future of the conservative movement and hopefully the Republican party if they ever choose to come back into the conservative fold. Your ethics, energy and charisma have indeed “excited the base”.

With the return of so many courageous military personnel (who incidentally voted conservative 8 to 1) from Iraq and Afghanistan in the upcoming months, the prospects for transforming the Republican party seem unlimited.

We know “you’ll be back”, and I wish you and your family the very best and Godspeed.

    Done.

All the behind the scene stuff just goes to show what happens when a “non-partisan” conservative adds liberal Washington insiders to his entourage.

We have seen repeatedly what happens when conservative principles get shelved for the sake of getting along…America loses.

Is it possible that subterfuge was planned all along? (How many times was McCain’s campaign ’shaken up?’)

Who will stand up now as a leader in either body of Congress?

Who will have that “lightbulb” suddenly illuminate, and realize that “compromising” with liberals means giving up principles that made America great?

Where is the next Newt Gingrich who is focused, and has a plan to take back our country with strong, patriotic, conservative ideals?

    I wait with bated breath…

As a Conservative and Constitutionalist, I know you stand strong – by instinct, if you’ve never formally studied – the ideal our Founding Fathers hammered into our Founding Documents!

Note, I say “never formally studied…” – in light of current back-stabbings, not as a negative, but from simple ignorance on my part as to whether you have undertaken formal study of the Founding Fathers.

Thank you again for your time in Our Country’s service. Please accept this old man’s appology on behalf of those of our citizens whose mothers obviously neglected proper toilet training and instilling acceptable manners in their young.

Thanks to you, we conservatives have faith that our principles will once again represent what our party must boldly stand for.

Next time you will be teamed with a true conservative and the socialists will have legitimate fears that truth and progress for America lies with us and they will soon lose their only real purpose in life which is the acquisition of power!

Thank you for all your work and for being such an inspiration to millions(including those that tried to hate you), and please thank all of your family members again!

    Just sent to Governor Palin.

    Dear Governor Palin,

Thank you for having the courage to accept the vice presidential nomination and run this year. I am so very sorry for the shameful way you were treated by the media and leftists who felt that they had to attack destroy you personally rather than attempt to defeat your ideas.

I didn’t vote for John McCain this year. It is the first time in nearly 30 years that I didn’t vote for a Republican presidential candidate. But, I would have voted for you if you had been running for president.

I know the cost of this campaign must have been enormous for you and your family. I suspect you have a lot of options to consider and don’t need to make any decisions soon. But, as you consider those options, should you consider running again for a national office remember that real conservatives across America respect and admire you and are willing to support you in the future.

If you choose to devote yourself to the good people of Alaska then we can’t blame you for that choice. But, if you choose to serve the rest of the nation you should remember that you have many, many friends and admirers across the country.

Thanks again for your service and may God bless you and your family.

PS. If it is not too much trouble, would you consider sending an autographed picture to my three daughters named…? Thanks again.

LOL… I love it. A petition to thank Gov Palin on a seriously left leaning website. I was happy to send my thanks just for the sake of it. But here’s hoping it’s a bit of a sharp stick in the eye to the moderators of that site.

    Sarah,
Go to the Senate! Alaska only offers constant back-biting now. You’re a marked woman in the eyes of the Democratic Party. Take Ted Stevens seat and offer us one more true conservative voice in Washington DC!

    This country needs you!

Sarah, Before you follow that misguided advice look at the record.
2008 AZ Senator John McCain lost
1996 KS Senator Bob Dole lost
1964 AZ Senator Barry Goldwater lost
1920 OH Senator Warren G.Harding WON

Siting Senators running for Vice President faired a little better in the last hundred years. They won in 1928,52,& 88, and lost in 1940, & 76.

Stay where you are at and win re-election as Governor. Then assemble a campaign staff loyal to you before you attempt a run for national office.

Traditionally senators make the worst presidents:
    Martin Van Buren
    William Henry Harrison
    John Tyler
    Franklin Pierce
    James Buchanan
    Andrew Johnson
    Benjamin Harrison
    Warren G. Harding
    Lyndon B. Johnson
    Richard M. Nixon

(I didn’t add JFK because he has a place in history as being the FIRST democrat to realize that if you lower taxes you increase revenue.)

Our best presidents have always come from Mayors, Governors and the Military.

STAND STRONG SARAH! We’re so proud of you and your fighting spirit. I served my country in the military for over 20 years and was never so proud as the day I served my country by voting for you.

We love you and will be praying for you and Michelle

    Palin/Malkin ‘12!!!

Sarah: Thank you for giving the Republican party the conservative voice we need. For too long, the current crop of Republicans in Office have acted is if they were entitled to govern in a manner similar to the Democrats but under the rubric of compassionate conservativism – which is nothing but big government welfare thinking under another name.

If you decide to run for President in 2010, count me in. I won’t try to manage your strengths but add to them.

Are we supposed to bury our heads in the sand here? The Palin selection was a farce, and if the Republican Party wants to even have a chance of victory in the coming years, Palin has to go. Jumping on the ‘Palin 2012′ bandwagon is one of the worst moves the GOP can make.

Are our expectations so low that any person with a smidgen of charisma and a note card full of conservative talking points makes us swoon? Remember Bush in 2000 anyone? Are we going to keep making the mistakes of the past and electing inarticulate and intellectually bankrupt politicians to represent us simply because we think it’d be fun to have a beer with them?

I don’t have anything against Governor Palin but she was not the best choice. First, you have the great JC Watts, who would have no trouble with Katie Couric or Charlie Gibson. He is far more prepared to be president than Governor Palin. McCain should at least have asked JC if he wanted the nomination for VP. Actually JC Watts would have made a great presidential candidate and might have won. Second, Bobby Jindal was a far better choice than Governor Palin. He has been a great governor and has so much information in his brain that he could knock the crap out of Biden. Third, Jack Kemp, even at 72, would have made a superb candidate. And I will never understand why McCain did not even ask Kay Bailey Hutchinson if she wanted the nomination. She has vast experience, is very personable, universally respected and ready right now to be president. So why the heck did McCain not offer one of these leaders the VP nod? My guess is that he wanted some who would not be his equal. And that is not a good sign in a presidential candidate. And what is even more galling is that if McCain had asked JC or Bobby Jindal to be his running mate, he would been in a dead heat with Obama and we might still be waiting for the next president.

He asked Jindal more than once. Jindal had just been elected Gov. and said he had the job he wanted.
