Governor Palin,
You are the future of the conservative movement and hopefully the Republican party if they ever choose to come back into the conservative fold. Your ethics, energy and charisma have indeed “excited the base”.
With the return of so many courageous military personnel (who incidentally voted conservative 8 to 1) from Iraq and Afghanistan in the upcoming months, the prospects for transforming the Republican party seem unlimited.

I sent a message to her yesterday. Stuff being spewed today is getting worse. I thought reps had more class than this. This a page from the dems’ playbook. I signed! I think she needs to continue her outstanding job of leading Alaska using conservative principles, gaining more executive experience. Stevens needs to resign so Gov. Palin can appoint a solid conservative to serve out his term. She should spend the next few years studying conservatism and international relations. In 4 years, or 8, she’ll have the weapons she’ll need to lead us to victory.

Just a side note: when I used Dick Morris’s site and sent comments to the dems, I got porn. I wrote a letter to both the dems and the repubs, describing this action and that I had sent copies to the FBI, the porn stopped!!!!! Wonderful that the dems learn IT to forward porn. Lovely people. NOT!!!! So, as MNUSMCDavid said, beware of their emails and do not open them. Do save them for the FBI though.

I happily signed and sent an email to O’Reilly telling him his piece on Palin was disgraceful and belonged on Entertainment tonight.

All the behind the scene stuff just goes to show what happens when a “non-partisan” conservative adds liberal Washington insiders to his entourage.
We have seen repeatedly what happens when conservative principles get shelved for the sake of getting along…America loses.
Is it possible that subterfuge was planned all along? (How many times was McCain’s campaign ’shaken up?’)
Who will stand up now as a leader in either body of Congress?
Who will have that “lightbulb” suddenly illuminate, and realize that “compromising” with liberals means giving up principles that made America great?
Where is the next Newt Gingrich who is focused, and has a plan to take back our country with strong, patriotic, conservative ideals?

I don’t think that I want to sign a petition where I send in ALL my personal info. It is one thing to sign it and give you town, but quite another to sign one where you have to give street address and zip. Call me paranoid if you like. I am sure people can find out a great deal about on the web, but not in one place.

Sarah, I met you @ the rally in Leesburg, VA. When I told you it was my pastor’s wife’s birthday you responded with, “What is her name?” I think most politicians would have reflexively said “Happy Birthday!”

Side note:
I often marveled at some of the ridiculous decisions made by Team McCain/RNC this year. Sometimes, I couldn’t decipher whether they were working for McCain or for Obama.
Having seen the Fox report on O’Reilly last night…I now understand that there were apparently some real anonymous morons working within Team McCain. If lessons are to be learned from this, these weak links had better be shaken out.
McCain received my vote because of Governor Palin’s inclusion on the ticket, not the other way around.

Many of these upper level campaign workers are marketing types. Shallow, poll-driven mercenaries that are in it for the paycheck and the prestige, not the idealogy. They’d be working for Obama if he’d approached them first.

Dexter still doesn’t get it. You can’t win with votes of solely your base. Look at the polls, specifically at around 9/12 and 9/23. What happened just prior to these significant drops in McCain’s numbers? Gibson and Couric.

Siting Senators running for Vice President faired a little better in the last hundred years. They won in 1928,52,& 88, and lost in 1940, & 76.
Stay where you are at and win re-election as Governor. Then assemble a campaign staff loyal to you before you attempt a run for national office.
Thanks Michelle! I sent her a note telling her (among other things) that I voted for the GOP and for HER! I told her she rallied the GOP BASE and that was more than I could say for her running mate. I told her that I can understand why she loves Alaska and Alaskans love her, but we need her back on the national scene. Told her that we all love her and her beautiful family and I’m broken hearted she’s not going to DC as our Vice President.

Sarah: Thank you for giving the Republican party the conservative voice we need. For too long, the current crop of Republicans in Office have acted is if they were entitled to govern in a manner similar to the Democrats but under the rubric of compassionate conservativism – which is nothing but big government welfare thinking under another name.
If you decide to run for President in 2010, count me in. I won’t try to manage your strengths but add to them.

My ballot was bubbled-in for John McCain, but my vote was for Sarah Palin.
Are we supposed to bury our heads in the sand here? The Palin selection was a farce, and if the Republican Party wants to even have a chance of victory in the coming years, Palin has to go. Jumping on the ‘Palin 2012′ bandwagon is one of the worst moves the GOP can make.
Are our expectations so low that any person with a smidgen of charisma and a note card full of conservative talking points makes us swoon? Remember Bush in 2000 anyone? Are we going to keep making the mistakes of the past and electing inarticulate and intellectually bankrupt politicians to represent us simply because we think it’d be fun to have a beer with them?
I don’t have anything against Governor Palin but she was not the best choice. First, you have the great JC Watts, who would have no trouble with Katie Couric or Charlie Gibson. He is far more prepared to be president than Governor Palin. McCain should at least have asked JC if he wanted the nomination for VP. Actually JC Watts would have made a great presidential candidate and might have won. Second, Bobby Jindal was a far better choice than Governor Palin. He has been a great governor and has so much information in his brain that he could knock the crap out of Biden. Third, Jack Kemp, even at 72, would have made a superb candidate. And I will never understand why McCain did not even ask Kay Bailey Hutchinson if she wanted the nomination. She has vast experience, is very personable, universally respected and ready right now to be president. So why the heck did McCain not offer one of these leaders the VP nod? My guess is that he wanted some who would not be his equal. And that is not a good sign in a presidential candidate. And what is even more galling is that if McCain had asked JC or Bobby Jindal to be his running mate, he would been in a dead heat with Obama and we might still be waiting for the next president.
Done and Done.
He asked Jindal more than once. Jindal had just been elected Gov. and said he had the job he wanted.
