The adoration of the Obamessiah
A national holiday in honor of The One? For heaven’s sake:
Plans are being made to promote a national holiday for Barack Obama, who will become the nation’s 44th president when he takes the oath of office Jan. 20.
“Yes We Can” planning rallies will be at 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. every Tuesday at the downtown McDonald’s restaurant, 1100 Kansas Ave., until Jan. 13. The goals are to secure a national holiday in Obama’s honor, to organize celebrations around his inauguration and to celebrate the 200th birthday of President Abraham Lincoln, who was born on Feb. 12 1809.
At 7:30 a.m. on Inauguration Day, Obama Cake will be served at the downtown McDonald’s, and a celebration is scheduled for 8 p.m. to midnight Jan. 20 at the Ramada Hotel and Convention Center, 420 S.E. 6th.
Now, remember: If you oppose the Obama National Holiday, you’re a RAAAAAAAAAAAAACIST!

The man hasn’t even taken office yet, and they want to promote a national holiday for him already?

This, and there is still no talk of a holiday for September 11th? He didn’t do a damn thing yet! More proof that it’s not we who see skin color…only them.

Let me put it this way. I’m not buying stock in Obama at this time. I believe it’s WAY overvalued. Looking from the outside, superficially, it looks good. But the fundamentals are flawed. Impractical domestic policies, weak foreign policy, too thin-skinned. It’s partly out of compassion I’m not buying the Obama stock, because that would just pump it up higher, making the crash that much more painful.
If the need for an apology after his very first press conference is any gauge, this is going to be a hilarious and gaffe-tastic presidency.
And would Obama dare say no that’s ridiculous.No way he thinks there should be a national holiday to recognize him.Sounds more and more like a dictator to me.Remember the children for Obama chorus.MLK as well as our founding fathers are rolling in their graves.

All the money in the world wouldn’t have been enough if the media attack machine had not been on his side. They spent 8 years tearing down Bush and a couple more building Obama up as super special.
They attacked McCain. They attacked Joe the Plumber. They savaged Sarah Palin. They ignored the credit card fraud that helped finance his campaign. And he still only won by 6 percent.

There already is a national holiday that will honor Obama after 1/20/09. It’s called Presidents Day.
If that’s good enough for Washington, Jefferson, Madison, Lincoln, and Reagan (who have actually demonstrated a meaningful performance as POTUS) and well as all the other 38 (who had varying levels of success — some great, some not so much), then it should be good enough for Obama.

What has happened to U. S. politics on the left? The MSM has treated Obama like a special education child from the beginning. He has done nothing, has no record of achievment, yet they celebrate everything as if he has just won the world series.
He will immediatley become the bestest president ever simply by taking the oath of office. Yet, again he has done nothing and by the MSM’s lowering of his expectations, will most likely do nothing but survive to run for re-election.
Whats next, a padded helmet?
Next they’ll be lobbying for a place on Mt. Rushmore, or putting him on our currency.

I think Obama is the Greatest Man In The World. He will CHANGE this Country and make it better. He loves all of us. He will give us free money and free healthcare and we do not have to do anything because he will tax the rich man and give to the poor. I hate those rich people with all their money, skills, talent, education and motivation to make their lives better, as I sit here everyday waiting for the 1st and the 15th. Smoking weed and waiting in line for HEAP.My rent is paid by Section 8 and I get money from Welfare, but I don’t feel like paying my bills. Why should I, if the government will pay it for me? Actually, there IS a holiday for The One and it ain’t President’s Day. It’s called Martin Luther King Day. Obama’s success has more to do with King’s ‘I Have Dream’ speech than anything else (except of course the bowing, scraping and mindless adoration by the MSM).

As others have noted above, if we are to recognize another national holiday, it should be Patriots Day in honor of the victims and members of our military who gave their lives in response to the dastardly attack on our shores September 11, 2001.
We should all celebrate “Obamagiving” near the end of November every year. The celebration of lower seas and a healed planet shall be preceded by a reading from one of what will surely soon be three autobiographies written by the One and be celebrated with caviar, arugula and lobster.
Well, considering the tanking media stocks and profits (lack thereof), they need to take a 2nd look in the mirror. They are losing readers and advertisers. Big time.

Adoration will change to the drip, drip, drip of disbelief when Hamas stages their uprising in the West Bank, Hezbollah forcefully takes over Lebanon, Russia deploys missiles across the border from Poland, Iran undermines security in Iraq, China invades Taiwan without a whimper from the USA, the Fairness Doctrine is reinstated, universal health care is impemented, universal paid-for college is impemented, cap and trade system begins, amnesty for illegal immigrants is given, and a variety of taxes go up across the board, killing millions of jobs over the next 2 years; And all this is likely to happen in 2009; As they say, be careful what you wish for!
