Louis Farrakhan, Father Pfleger unleashed

By Michelle Malkin  •  November 10, 2008 10:51 AM

Oprah’s been liberated. And she’s not the only one singing Hallelujahs over being “unleashed” now that The One has won.

Here’s nutball Father Pfleger’s “Free at Last!” sermon over the weekend.

And here’s Louis Farrakhan embracing the Oneness of Spirit:

After months of silence about his support for Barack Obama, Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan said in an address Sunday that the new president-elect has a God-given capacity to handle any burdens he’ll face as the nation’s leader.

Farrakhan added that Obama will be able to make positive changes only with help from “God and people of goodwill,” and he urged followers of the Chicago-based black nationalist movement to do their part.

“President-elect Obama has energized all segments of the depressed, downtrodden, rejected and despised,” he said in a 90-minute speech at Mosque Maryam on the city’s South Side. “Now it is up to us to take the new energy that he has given us … and channel that energy into making ourselves better.”

Dressed in intricately decorated red and gold robes and a matching fez, the once-ailing 75-year-old leader spoke to more than 1,000 followers in an address called “America’s New Beginning: President-elect Barack Obama.”

Farrakhan, who said Obama draws a “oneness of spirit” from all people, admitted he stayed quiet about his support for Obama during the past few months out of fear his words would harm the Illinois senator’s bid for the White House.

In February, Farrakhan praised Obama, calling him “the hope of the entire world that America will change and be made better” at a Saviours’ Day event in Chicago.

No word on how many of his cult followers were wearing those unifying “My President Is Black” t-shirts.

46% of people voted for Sen. McCain and 48% of people voted against President-elect Obama. That’s not “oneness of spirit” and it’s not all people, unless you think that voters that support a candidate other than President-elect Obama are less than human… say, three-fifths human?

I am so sick and tired of hearing from people so obviously racist and demented as Pfleger and this worthless idiot Farrakahn. Why is it they spout their filth, offending any living person that has NOT had a frontal lobotomy or drunk the lib’s koolaid, yet nobody, NOBODY publicly, repeatedly, loudly and in no uncertain terms, tells them they are offensive in the extreme and calls them out into the light of day for ALL people to see?

I am sick of hearing, and yes, saying, “Boy, if that was a conservative …. blah, blah, blah” and moaning and weeping about how unfair this all is.

    ENOUGH!

Conservatives lost this election for one simple reason. No, not because we didn’t have a horse in the race, though we didn’t. No it wasn’t because of the economy, bailouts, the stock market or any of the other crappy excuses I’ve heard lately.

It’s simply because we as conservatives have been afraid of ‘offending’ or having someone brand us as racists, or mysogynists, or Kluckers, or xenophobes, or whatever other idiot name you hear. We let windbags like Farrakahn and Pfleger have the stage, we let the malignant politics of Chicago steal into the national spotlight and act as if it’s ok. It Isn’t OK! It Isn’t Acceptable! It’s wrong! It’s evil! It’s like cancer. It starts by people allowing it to happen, not standing up and saying “NO! This is WRONG!”

On November 5th, as soon as I found out about Obama’s win, I put a black arm band on and wore it most of the day. “Big deal” some of you say. There are four self-described conservatives, one of whom is more of a RINO, in my office of 20 people. To say we have a ‘liberal’ office is pretty much on target. All the way up to and including the office of our CEO, people were crowing about how great the night before was, laughing and high-fiving. ANy sign they were worried about offending the four of us? Not in the least. Smirks all around whenever they thought we were listening.

My arm band said more and said it more plainly than anything that I could have actually verbalized. One walk down the hall, through the dirty looks and smirks of my co-workers, was all it took to pour water on those celebrations.

Stop being afraid you will offend! Call racism out no matter who spouts it, black, white, brown, rich or poor. Stop being afraid to say that shamnesty was a bad idea back then, it’s a bad idea today and it will be a bad idea tomorrow! Stop being afraid somebody will actually call you out as a conservative if you take a stand against abortion, for gun rights, against gay rights education in “our” schools.

There is another class of coloured people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs — partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do do not want to lose their jobs.

I am afraid that there is a certain class of race-problem solvers who don’t want the patient to get well, because as long as the disease holds out they have not only an easy means of making a living, but also an easy medium through which to make themselves prominent before the public.
My experience is that people who call themselves “The Intellectuals” understand theories, but they do not understand things. I have long been convinced that, if these men could have gone into the South and taken up and become interested in some practical work which would have brought them in touch with people and things, the whole world would have looked very different to them. Bad as conditions might have seemed at first, when they saw that actual progress was being made, they would have taken a more hopeful view of the situation.

Why do Western banks seek to participate in Sharia banking; because it gives them a chance to enter the Islamic banking industry which has over $1.5 trillion available today and is growing at a steady and explosive rate of over 15% per year.

Why did the “…depressed, downtrodden, rejected and despised…” have to wait for an Obama to come along to see that they have a need to become better and can in fact attain the goal of being better? Why is it OK to work toward that goal now where is wasn’t OK just last week?

Honestly, I think Conservative Republicans need to form an organized block within the Republican party. Let them agree to work together and vote together whether the RINOs want to or not.

They should also vote together within the party. Let them pick their own internal leaders, and they can all vote together when it comes time to select the party leadership. If everyone else is as fragmented as I hear, then that could get the Conservatives a better representation in the GOP.
