Update: National Obama Holiday hits some road bumps
Uh-oh. The planned Adoration of the Obamessiah has run into some planning snags.
Turns out that the Obama cult member who wants to lobby for the holiday doesn’t have as many supporters as he claimed, according to the Topkea Capital-Journal.
You’ll also be happy to know, he doesn’t have permission from McDonald’s to serve “Obama Cake” there on Inauguration Day:
“You absolutely do not have permission to do any kind of Obama planning,” owner Karen Tyler said in a voice mail left on Scroggins’ phone and played for The Capital-Journal.
No worries, though. The NAACP is receptive to the idea:
The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, for one, was receptive if not officially behind the idea. Hilary Shelton, the national vice president of advocacy, said Obama’s election was of tremendous significance for “a community that was once enslaved.”
“Certainly this very historic moment in our history is something that should be recognized, commemorated and celebrated,” Shelton said.

Laugh all you want, but I will bet a years salary that it will happen before the century is done.
The only question is, what other holiday will be rep[laced or consolidated with another in order to allow “Obama Day” to become a reality.
And what will the Furniture Store and Car Lots do to advertise their “Obama Day Sales Event”?
Since when does someone need accomplishments to receive recognition? Doesn’t everyone deserve a trophy in this league?

I thought we already had a national holiday for this. It is called Independence Day and has been celebrated every year since 1776.
If you ever see pictures of Obama welfare supporters, then you know that McDonalds is right in line with their dietary requirements.

And if you think this whole “Obama cake” thing is nothing more than a foolish thought without any symbolism at all..you really don’t know the history of such things as “King Cake” so…guess again.
Sadaam Hussien had special days dedicated to him also, he even got 100% of the peoples votes, but he met a tyrants end.

With the special presidential symbols, the made up offices like office of the president elect and the unholy worship by the MSM, I think our worst fears are more than justified.
Here is a little glimpse into what the future may be like for us.

This is a group of social scientist who would like nothing better than to lobby congress for your tax dollars to fund their projects. They are thrilled with Obama.
New ground here. Naming a holiday after a live person is so, so dictatorial. I think Saddam had a holiday in Iraq where all the peasants could worship him on that day. In American, we name holidays after men much as how the Catholics determine who will become a Saint. Only after the person has become deceased, and his entire life can be viewed and how his actions hurt or enabled future generations. After an indeterminate number of years as Ruler for Life of the Greater North American Continent, his subjects might be hitting his recently torn down statures with their shoes.
I hope he will be a good and noble president.
I just hope I can still get my motorhome and travel the USA in retirement… and that he doesn’t take too much of my money.
