There is something that is so Liberal about President Bush…

There may be some of that going on behind the curtains.

However, I also think that there is a deep-seated primal need within all humans to be protected and “parented,” to be safe within a cocooning collective.

Look at Germany WWII, the Soviet Union, North Korea or China today. These systems would not have been so strong had they not appealed in some way to their citizens.

The reason collectivism is so powerful a mental virus is because it appeals to the collective sub-conscious of mankind.

And the reason that the “liberal” trolls on this site or over at the Daily Kos seem so intensely illogical and emotional to the conservative mind is precisely because they operate on a sub-conscious level.

They are in Plato’s cave.

I think the real key to defeating the collective is to bring its infectees out of the subconscious realm and into a more conscious plane.

This involves first and foremost diagnosing the illness.

I see conservatives stabbing at one tactic or another (quoting the Constitution, railing against taxes, writing long articles in the Weekly Standard, etc.) but they never NAME the threat head-on (with a few rare exceptions – read some of the speeches Reagan gave, for instance…)

This is due not so much to conspiracy, as to a failure to operate on a conscious plane.

How is this not a violation of Pres. Bush’s oath of office?
He swore to uphold the Constitution.
The Constitution requires the Executive Branch to enforce the law.
He did not enforce a valid law as a favor to one person.
No one is above the law, even if their nephew is running for president.
Therefore, Pres. Bush blatantly violated his oath of office.

But when millions break into our nation, our home, aliens can demand to be accommodated and claim our land really belongs to them. Aliens are rewarded with social programs, food, housing, education, minority status and more benefits than natives have when the only real talent required is the ability to sneak and walk across an international boundry.

Protections are lobbied for by powerful, taxpayer funded advocacy groups and legislated by disloyal elected officials sworn to uphold the law. We tolerate aliens who live in sanctuary cities were they are catered to with taxpayer money and can’t be exposed as illegal and have forced hundreds of hospital closures.

It’s all insane.

If we allow the government and advocacy groups to run us instead of the other way around.
