Another senseless, 100 percent preventable murder by the nation’s most notorious illegal alien gang:
Police say the man responsible for killing a Montgomery Blair High School honors student in an unprovoked shooting on a crowded bus is not only a member of a notorious street gang, but an illegal alien as well.
On Monday, Montgomery County police said they arrested a 20-year-old man and obtained warrants for two other suspects in connection with the murder of 14-year-old Tai Lam on Nov. 1.
Police arrested Hector Mauricio Hernandez, of Takoma Park, on Friday, Nov. 7 and charged him with first-degree murder, after he allegedly shot a handgun into a crowded bus after exiting, striking and killing Lam, 14, and injuring two other teenagers.
Hernandez, along with three to four other individuals, reportedly got into a verbal altercation with a large group of teenagers, before leaving the bus, according to police.
Cao Lam, Tai’s 16-year-old brother, was on the bus at the time of the shooting and says there was no dispute and that the gunman was unprovoked. “It was like he was ready to shoot anybody,” Cao said.
The three teens were transported to area hospitals where Lam eventually died from his injuries. The other two victims have been released and are expected to fully recover, police said.
Montgomery County Police Chief Thomas Manger said Hernandez is an illegal immigrant and a member of Mara Salvatrucha, or MS-13, an international gang from Central America that has a very strong presence in the D.C. region.
“As far as the activities and membership of MS-13, it is one of the most prolific gangs in the area,” said Captain Don Johnson, commander of District 3, where the murder occurred.
Police, along with several county officials, including County Executive Isiah Leggett and Councilmember Valerie Ervin, held a community meeting Monday, and discussed how to prevent these crimes from happening.

Unfortunately, you are right. With the dems completely in charge, it will get worse. Obama and his fellow socialists will keep the gates wide open, allowing more totally preventable killings to happen. Bush failed miserably on this issue, and the dems will definitely make it worse.
The sad thing is we know how to stop it. Build a fence and ENFORCE THE FREAKIN’ LAWS!
This type of crime will get worse if the borders are not monitored better. I live in Guatemala and here the current official estimate is 17 homicides a day. This average has varied somewhat, but it is always creeping higher. Doesn’t sound like a large number in itself, but comparing national populations this would work out to about 150,000 homicides a year in the U.S. If nothing is done soon, the homicide levels will increase dramatically in the U.S. as economies weaken here in Central America and criminals seek better opportunities north.
Doing the murders our our homies won’t do I suppose. Open Borders is little more than enabling these ever increasing atrocities.
I suspect they will call San Francisco and Hartford officials and ask for guidance. The victim and his family will be accused of having provoked the gang banger.
No one will be allowed to wear red or blue for fear that might antagonize MS-13 members.
Free tattoos will be offered during the course of the hearing. Only Spanish will be spoken…an English interpreter will be hired to help the committee.

I’m wondering if I could get away with driving without a license, then, when pulled over for a broken taillight, say that the cop has no right to check into my licensure status or insurance. Couldn’t I argue that neither of these things were the cause of the broken taillight, hence the cop has no business knowing if I’m licensed or insured for driving? Wouldn’t any questions deviating from the task at hand (e.g. the broken taillight), be a breach of my privacy rights?
Wouldn’t it be interesting to apply the principles of immigration law to the rest of U.S. Code?

Maybe I’m reading more into it, but I don’t think so when I learn more about the Mexican drug cartel and how they have completely dismantled democracy in Mexico. The one thing that I begrudge Ronald Reagan for is the 1982 amnesty. If not for that, we might’ve been able to get a handle on immigration by now. Aside from that he was an amazing man.
We’ve got so many Hispanic citizens here that it’s nigh impossible to get any politician to broadly call for enforcement of our immigration laws. Those Hispanic interest groups lobby for the illegals, and the politicians pander to the lobbyists because there’s so many of them. We’ve allowed this to become such a huge problem that I don’t think we’ll be able to solve it at this point. I believe it will be a big part of our downfall.

In Mexico there is a sentament of Mexicians being the master race. Hence the obvious unwelcomed attitude toward none hispanics in there shops.

This stuff just makes me sick. Last week, a block from my son’s day care, a bunch of “Hispanic youths” shot two people and after a police chase, they jumped out of their vehicle and opened fire on the police with AKs. They were wearing bullet proof vests. A rookie cop killed one of them, they arrested two more, and two got away even after they put the whole neighborhood on lockdown almost all day.
No word on their immigration status- The Austin American-Statesman usually refuses to report those details.
Thankfully this happened before the day care and other schools in the area had opened- so they were just all closed for the day. I kept thinking, what if my baby had already been there and this happened and I couldn’t get to him?
My heart just breaks for the family of this boy.
What can we do?
What we need to do is let our military loose on this problem. The local police are not equipped or trained well enough to do the job. Lucky for us our military has been doing just this thing in Iraq for the past six years.
Of course this takes political will and balls to match and THAT dear friends is in short supply in our Capital (one of the worst for violent crime). So…

Technical clarification to AniMEL (#35?)
- the Amnesty under Reagan was done in 1986 (not 1982). Initially, it was assumed that about 1 million persons would apply for, and receive legalization under the law. Later, it was found that about 3-4 million actually were able to achieve legal status. Rampant fraud and abuse of the program occurred.
Realizing the above, what would a future amnesty present? (Yes, I think we know the answer… an amnesty for 12 million people would likely result in legalization for 25-30 million people – none of which are needed in a time of increasing unemployment/underemployment)

Along the lines of what we can do, I have been thinking for a while about making a blog or web site that is simply a repository for every news story involving a crime committed by an illegal. All the MS13 homicides, all the drunk driving deaths, all the hit-and-runs, etc. Preferably with lots of pictures. Just because I always get into arguments with people who think “they are just poor people coming here to feed their families” and I never have time to go look up all these stories all over again. The sad fact is most people don’t hear these stories to begin with.
Maybe something like this already exists? If not, I think it should!

Absolutely it should be factual. It should be emotionally stirring, but it can’t be perceived as racist or hysterical to open-minded people. Obviously unhinged liberals and Geraldo types will see it that way no matter what- but who cares, the idea is to turn public perception in our favor.
Of course one big problem is that so many news sources won’t report immigration status when a perp is caught. But I do think there are enough cases to start to make a point.

I was imagining something a lot more pared down than that site… something for people who don’t already understand the issue because they never see these stories. It couldn’t be that dense, because if people don’t already know these things, they won’t care enough to take the time to read a lot of text. It has to be more like a list, to get the point across how often this happens. At least, that is what I’m thinking.

Whats really ironic here is that I have been investigating and gathering info on States Militia. Apparently this is a major NO-NO because States militia’s are considered militant and race baiters, even though its specified in the 2nd amendment to keep marxist goverments oe any bad governement from taking over the country and wasting the Constitution. If I were in the MS-13 I could actually be protected under the 1st amendment. Go figure.

If the economy continues to fail we should have some interesting times. There could be so many out of work and with the dollar declining the govn’t simply cannot keep up with demand for welfare and unemployment benefits. If any fool decided to amnesty the millions that are here it could prove to be our undoing and complete the financial meltdown…those brand new citizens would be illegible for benefits too. We are already seeing migration back to their own countries. Bankrupting the govn’t for votes would seem awfully short sighted, but then we have brand new players in town that claim to know how to fix everything.

I do not believe that the US military would ever be a force to attack our own people. I’m sure that the US military would push back and not want to take part. However, if there was an “execption” because we need to subdue a militant gang, then they might do it. And once you get a foot in the door, the second time is easier.
