    DEATH PENALTY vs. ABORTION

How many of our “allies” refuse to extradite murderers to the US because we have a death penalty, but have no problem granting abortions on demand in their own countries?

Does that make sense to anyone?

It makes perfect sense. People who reject morality nevertheless feel a certain void, since we are moral creatures. So they create new causes to be indignant over. What could possibly be more noble than standing up for a woman’s right to kill her unborn offspring?!

    A few thoughts;

Have you ever noticed that when there is a “big pot ‘o money” with little or no oversight, there is rampant fraud involved? The reason for lack of oversight is usually because the liberals make the claim that “real people are hurting, and we have to get this done before it’s too late!” The taxpayer gets burned, but our elected officials who control the purse-strings never seem to learn this lesson. That or they just don’t care, as long as their constituency gets paid.

Don’t you just love how all the caring Democrats keep telling the Republican’s what they have to do to win? That’s like having the fox tell the farmer how to protect his hens from the foxes!

The Democrats always seem to have all the answers to all society’s ills. You know, the ills that never seem to get remedied? Republicans have been in charge of congress only twice in the last forty years. And what happened when Gingrich was Speaker? Gee, that would be a Welfare Reform Bill, and a balanced budget…things that the Democrats not only fought tooth and nail to defeat, but now take credit for.

The highest number of combat casualties have always come under a Democrat Party controlled government.

The liberals never see anything as black and white. It always has to be shaded by political dogma.

As long as liberals are allowed to define who we are as a nation, no “real” problems will ever get solved, nor will the country ever be solvent. The reason is simple…it is not in their best interest.

They corrupt the world of cinema with their collectivist politics… they are the same type of people who slobbered over Mussolini in the 1930′s… disgusting and sick people who couldn’t recognize art if it punched them in the face, and are determined to corrupt EVERYTHING with their PC politics!!!

They are Saulieries trying to cover over their mediocrity by influencing the Emperor!

John Wayne was in some of the greatest films in world cinema, most of them directed by John Ford (The Searchers, Stagecoach, etc.). It is a CRIME to push this type of propaganda and make it part of the “collective consensus” – because younger people who don’t know better will just say, “Oh, okay, well then I won’t see any of HIS films…”

It’s like sniffing to a bunch of high school students that Mozart or Beethoven were just “dead white men…” or Shakespeare isn’t worth reading because he’s racist or whatever.

Granted, Wayne was not a good director (Alamo, Green Berets were pretty bad), but by God he was one of the greatest actors ever!

It is a shame that collectivists can not appreciate talent and ability if it happens to have an “(R)” somewhere in it.

Clint Eastwood and Robert Duvall are republicans. I guess you’re ignoring the part where I complimented them and called them talented.

MJ, you have obviously never seen or studied a John Ford movie or you would never say something so cinematically ignorant and stupid.

What does John Wayne being a racist being a racist have to do with his accomplishments in the cinema?

When liberal French cineastes like Truffaut or Godard are capable of recognizing Wayne as a great, then a crummy little provincial American collectivist such as yourself ought to shut your stupid ignorant trap, and let your betters mind the store.

What does this have to do with John Wayne being a racist? Nothing, right.

And by the way, all three of Wayne’s wives were hispanic, so the racist charge is (and always has been) weak.

Weak, the jacka$$ says. Hispanics are white. Plus, Duke’s issues were with Blacks and Native Americans.

Stay out of art, it’s disgusting and nauseating when collectivists try to color the landscape with their thoughts on who is good and who isn’t.

What does Wayne’s talent have to do with him being a racist? Racists often have talent. Some say Hitler could paint.

    So **** off yourself, MJ!

The unsolicited part is irrevelant. This is a blog where people just post opinions. The click of the mouth and scroll serves as a pretty good way to ignore a person’s posts.

Regarding repub’s winning elections, of course I prefer you not win. However, that’s different than simply critiquing political strategy. I hate the Patriots and Broncos, but I can discuss what’s good or bad about their teams, or what direction they should go in the draft. You see, Ford helped save the Navajo. In 1938 when the Depression was in full force it hit the Navajo harder than anywhere else. They were literally starving. A man named Harry Goulding who ran a trading post convinced Ford to film Stagecoach there. And famously, Ford did. And not for altruistic reasons, but because it was a beautiful setting never used before. But once there Ford went above and beyond. Once there Ford befriended the people to such an extent the mere mention of his name brings a smile even to the descendants of those who’ve only heard the stories from their parents and grandparents.

Ford hired as many Navajo as he could. More than he should’ve. More than needed. And not just as extras but in any position available. And he paid them union wages. Yes, the studio complained because they weren’t in the union, but Ford didn’t care. And the Christian Ford also hired a local medicine man for every film to help with the weather, and swore up and down by him. So, it was more than money, it was respect. Ford came back for decades to film many of his classics. And he was always welcomed as one of the family because he was one of the family. He was beloved. Beloved by the very people we’re told he denigrated.

And it was no different with The Duke. Anecdote after anecdote of how good he was with the kids; always ready to hoist one on his shoulder for a picture. How respectfully he treated the people he hired and how well he paid them … How he had a gravely ill Navajo girl flown to a hospital on his private plane. How he just liked to hang out and drink and play cards and tell stories. Is it any wonder some Navajo are named after him?

Yes. You say that everytime you post here – that someone has called you out and you’re just responding in kind. It’s not always the case but, whatever.

Plus, haven’t you always been conservative, and your husband just simply brought that to your attention?

Since you know the story you should also know that what he pointed out was that my views were conservative… always have been – always will. The discrepancy lied with me being or voting Democrat.

What, you used to be like Angela Davis or something?

No. I just “see” something in you that once had a hold of me.

The unsolicited part is irrevelant. This is a blog where people just post opinions. The click of the mouth [sic] and scroll serves as a pretty good way to ignore a person’s posts.

It’s your schtick… just pointing it out. Didn’t know that – about scrolling. Thanks.

Regarding repub’s winning elections, of course I prefer you not win. However, that’s different than simply critiquing political strategy.

Okay. I just find interesting that you would think anyone would take what you have to say with anything other than a grain of salt considering…. You like RINOs. Conservatives, the base anyway, abhor RINOs but you wish to talk strategy with us by suggesting that we give Crist a look. This all makes sense to you….

I hate the Patriots and Broncos, but I can discuss what’s good or bad about their teams, or what direction they should go in the draft.

That’s what I find intriguing. I wouldn’t bother with that sort of thing. I’ve not visited DU or Daily Kos nor would I have applied for posting privileges there. To each his own.

I have opinions about what the Republican party could, or should do to win the White House back. I most certainly hope that the RNC wouldn’t agree with ideas like mine if I think they would be successful.

Nothing wrong with that but who are you going to be discussing this strategy with? Not many here agree with your point of view.

I’d say she’s a bit full of herself. Liberals are truly mentally ill. Someone mentioned a book the other day and I looked it up called The Liberal Mind. The author’s bio is here:

Lyle H. Rossiter, Jr., M.D. received his medical and psychiatric training at the University of Chicago. He is board certified in both general and forensic psychiatry and has diagnosed and treated mental disorders for more than forty years. He has been retained by numerous public offices, courts, and private attorneys as a forensic psychiatrist and has consulted in more than 2700 civil and criminal cases in both state and federal jurisdictions.

    Book description:

In his penetrating analysis, Dr. Rossiter reveals modern liberalism’s assaults on: The freedom of adults to make good lives for themselves by cooperating with others, The ability of families to raise children to be self-reliant and mutual, and The morals, rights and laws that protect our freedoms. Modern liberalism’s irrationality can only be understood as the product of psychopathology. So extravagant are the patterns of thinking, emoting, behaving and relating that characterize the liberal mind that its relentless protests and demands become understandable only as disorders of the psyche. The Liberal Mind reveals the madness of the modern liberal for what it is: a massive transference neurosis acted out in the world’s political arenas, with devastating effects on the institutions of liberty.

Ironic the doctor got his degrees and residency from the University of Chicago.

Then, I sat down to read MM’s open thread and you all are going at it.
I have spent the time since the election trying to keep Son’s blood

Of course, the left thinks that we don’t deserve to breathe or vote but then there are some days that I feel the same about them. I
mean, that I think that voting for someone because he makes you

perhaps you should just sit out the elections.
I said on another thread that I don’t see BO doing a whole lot during

He wants the SOS to certify that Obama is a natural-born citizen before the election is certified. He apparently has standing since he was a Presidential candidate. First off here are some of the people whose talents I admire:

Jimmy Stewart- Racist piece of trash.

What flavor of Kool-aid do you prefer, Obama Orange, or Liberal Lime?

The entire rumor of General Jimmy Stewart’s came from one argument over a casting decision where he had accidentally assumed a black man was hired to play a part that was explicitly written for a white character. When he found his error he appologized.

The only actual accusation of racism that’s been directed at Jimmy Stewart, one of the most brave, honorable men this nation has ever produced, was Director John Ford who accused Stewart of racism for remarks he made to Woody Strode on the set of The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance. Strode later said he didn’t believe Stewart was really racist. To be accused of racism by a bleeding heart liberal movie director? To me that would be a badge of honor.

That’s the freaking problem with liberals, they’re so swallowed up with “white guilt” that it’s impossible to discuss ANYTHING that involves race. Unless the white person in the conversation is indulging in self flagellation over imaginary crimes against humanity he or she is a racist.

My personal belief is that liberals are incapable of wrapping their minds around the concept that a person can hate a CULTURE or NATIONALITY or POLITICAL AFFILIATION without even considering the skin color of that culture, nationality, or political alignment.

John Wayne has been accused of racism because he said some very uncomplimentary things about Vietnam. Did any liberals consider that John Wayne cannot abhor communism? Is he racist because he hates the most evil thing on earth today: Communism? Is he racist because he hates people who kill American soldiers?

But they accused him of racism because he badmouthed North Vietnamese. And according to liberals that means he hates ALL Asians.

DID John Wayne hate all Asians?

No, of course he’s not. But that’s not important to liberals. Liberals appear to be completely incapable of being able to delve past skin color and find out what that person REALLY said.

Then again liberals like nothing more than communism (because it’s their religion) and people who kill American soldiers (because they don’t have the guts to try it themselves, except for William Ayers)so someone who badmouths communism needs to be destroyed and a liberals favorite insult is “racist”.

These include: Central and South America, the Southwestern United States, Florida, the African nations of Equatorial Guinea, Western Sahara, and the Northern coastal region of Morocco, as well as the Asia-Pacific nations of the Philippines, Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands.”

    Well, that’s embarrassing.

You must feel awful silly now.

Do you mean Michelle is white? or are you just a RAAAAAACIST?

Oh – and John Wayne’s wives weren’t just hispanic, they were MEXICAN, and racially Mexicans are 85% American Indian. So again one presses the question, how can John Wayne be a racist yet fall in love and marry not one but 3 women of a race he supposedly hates?

When Mistressjustice babbles semi-coherently about John Wayne, rehashing ancient and long disproven lies he/she proves my point that liberals cannot seperate skin color and culture. How come someone who supposedly hated American Indians so much still hold them in such great esteem in his professional work? John Wayne saw many of the Indians as honorable advisaries such as the Apache and the Navaho: the greatest cavalry soldiers this continent had ever seen.

Also like too many liberals, Mistressjustice tries to hold people who were brought up OVER A CENTURY AGO Edwardian! to modern 21st Century mores and values they themselves couldn’t possibly live up to. I really can’t believe people could be so dense as to even try that, but they do. Watch Ken Burns “Civil War” series, you’ll see a liberal historian degrading Abraham Lincoln as a racist because with his Victorian upbringing and view point he wasn’t able to view racial relations the same way a post civil right movement American would.

Stupid, but that’s a very liberal thing to do.

Um, can we focus here? Focus on NOT acting like the left has this last eight years? Let’s remember that we conservatives are adults and act with class, not crass. Don’t let trolls bait us and then grab the bait. That’s what they want us to do.

Amen to durangodarlin’ and jsmiddleton4…we’re falling into the left’s trap. And they’re ROFLTAO.

Never been to Joyzee myself. Oh wait…once I was in East Orange for a meeting, but that was 15 minutes of my life that I forgot about. Sorry, 30 pcs. No offense. I hear the Jersey Shore is beautiful, and would love to visit some time. I just bought the book, “1000 Places to See Before you Die”, US & Canada edition. I’m a traveler at heart, and want to keep my money in the US for a while.

You fear Palin and people like her. If you didn’t, you’d be propping her up as our best choice. Odds are good that she will be the first lady President.

Yup, Garathorn, the Dems are absolutely terrified of Sarah 2012. Doing a search for “Palin” for the last day or so at Kos yields up dozens of deranged rants in the stories and diaries. Like MsJustice, they are locked into a total obsession with Palin. They realize Americans admire Sarah and they must know, on some level, that Obama just reeks bigtime of being a one-termer like Jimmy Carter.

No. You’re just giving in to your white guilt. Good lil’ TXRose…good.

Mookie, I think I’ll pick up QL’s jazz CD, and I also want to get Seal’s new one that’s coming out, also very jazzy. I love his voice.
I saw the “E! True Hollywood Story” on Heidi Klum a short while ago. Their love sure looks solid. It would be nice to see another couple in the spotlight do well, ala Newman & Woodward, wouldn’t it?

Wow, I disappear for 24 hours and now I find out that I cant leave most of you home alone with an Open Thread.

Well, we survived a weekend of snowboarding in Colorado. Relatively few injuries were sustained (none by me so far) that a hot tub didnt cure. We need one good blizzard this week to cover all the remaining rocks and trees that are killing my new board.

Im spending as many days (of a possible 8 ) over Thankgiving week all to my self. If I cant trust you to be left alone for one day…. how am I going to leave you all unsupervised for most of a week?
