Anti-Prop. 8 Mob Watch: Christians in San Francisco’s Castro district

Watch gay activists hound Christians in San Francisco’s Castro district:
Even some left-wing blogs are starting to realize this is bad p.r. for their side.
From the YouTube user’s description of the confrontation, which got physical:
After just singing and worshiping God for a while, Roger decided that we should all hold hands in a circle and continue singing. So we did.
Someone (Actually a person who came up and hugged and kissed some of us who he knew from the past) convinced some people that we were there to protest against the no on 8 campaign.
Then some guy who was dressed up like one of the sisters (The sisters of perpetual indulgence is a group of men who dress up like nuns and call themselves the spiritual authority of the Castro.) took a curtain-type thing (Which I think they use to curse people) and wrapped it around us.
Then a crowd started gathering. We began to sing “Amazing Grace”, and basically sang that song the whole night. (At some points we also sang “Nothing but the Blood of Jesus” and “Oh the Blood of Jesus”.) At first, they just shouted at us, using crude, rude, and foul language and calling us names like “haters” and “bigots”. Since it was a long night, I can’t even begin to remember all of the things that were shouted and/or chanted at us. Then, they started throwing hot coffee, soda and alcohol on us and spitting (and maybe even peeing) on us. Then, a group of guys surrounded us with whistles, and blasted them inches away from our ears continually. Then, they started getting violent and started shoving us. At one point a man tried to steal one of our Bibles. Chrisdene noticed, so she walked up to him and said “Hey, that’s not yours, can you please give it back?”. He responded by hitting her on the head with the Bible, shoving her to the ground, and kicking her. I called the cops, and when they got there, they pulled her out of the circle and asked her if she wanted to press charges. She said “No, tell him I forgive him.”
Afterwards, she didn’t rejoin us in the circle, but she made friends with one of the people in the crowd, and really connected heart to heart. Roger got death threats. As the leader of our group, people looked him in the eyes and said “I am going to kill you.”, and they were serious. A cop heard one of them, and confronted him. (This part is kinda graphic, so you should skip the paragraph if you don’t want to be offended.) It wasn’t long before the violence turned to perversion. They were touching and grabbing me, and trying to shove things in my butt, and even trying to take off my pants – basically trying to molest me. I used one hand to hold my pants up, while I used the other arm to hold one of the girls. The guys huddled around all the girls, and protected them.
And here’s KTVU coverage of the incident.
Soul-fixer, where art thou?

Maybe Crackerjacks, Mooks. I got a sweet tooth.
We could do Kettle corn.
I bet that film has been banned from viewing at almost every “educational institution” in the land.
where’d OMU go?? he should be here defending his hairygod darwin with spittle laced rants
Al Gore said ” All the science is in” on global warming. OMU don’t you see how ridicules and ignorant that statement is. Scientific exploration must always be left open for questioning.
Hmmmm…well, I could go with popcorn while watching a Ma and Pa Kettle movie.
So we begin to see the “rights” that are specifically spelled out in the Constitution, the right of assembly is giving way to the “rights” that the liberal judges make up out of whole cloth. Way to go America. I was proud to know you way back when. It’s too bad you have sunk down to a third world cesspool.
Prolly went to try and beat up old ladies.
Go Browns!!
Easy Emu, it’s not a pick up line, have them in the FB Pool.
Another sunny day in Kalifornia, another gay referendum. . .yawwwwwnnn.
…and a couple of earthquakes…..yawwwwwnnn.
Actually, you are the ones that want god to help you. It is just always rather annoying that you want US to want what you need.
Some people can exercise on their own, and some need a trainer. Is one group of athletes better than another?
My guess is he’s off doing some Jethro-like deep pondering on just how something can come from nothing. Well, dawggies!
Only a really ugly dirty old man would make a smart comment about that. As I do not wish to be so I will not do so. But it is a struggle. Shame on you.
Pass the popcorn.
Yup.
Here ya go, AzN.
Y’know, if I didn’t wear pants in church I’d be kicked out. Well, except in some select churches in S.F. where it would be a sign of (ahem) friendship.
We want you to live by the Constitution which was written by people who studied Natural Law. Natural Law dictates the existence of a law whose content is set by nature and that therefore has validity everywhere. Homosexuality is a perversion of nature.
There was NEVER “nothing”. There was plenty before what we call “life” began.
Matter and energy come in many forms and change through various processes into other things and other forms of energy.
To say, for example, that snow appearing on the ground one winter morning when there was none the night before is evidence of “CREATION” by some “GOD” seems kinda crazy.
What was “before” WAS something, just not something YOU think was important.
To say that humans are “something” and what was before was “nothing” is just downright foolish.
After humans are extinct, something else will come along and become the dominant life form… and may then call YOU “nothing”.
Meanwhile…
In the Documentary Expelled, No Intelligence Allowed which is exposing the Evolutionists as Ivy League Facists for refusing to allow Intelligent Design to be taught alongside Evolution. How the Universities and Scientists blackball other scientists for even saying the term.
Dawkins said life might have been ‘seeded’ here by aliens (would they have been intelligent aliens? and the aliens came from?) or on the backs of crystals… (and the crystals formed life how?)
Ben Stein repeatedly asked him how the first life came about. Dawkins kept saying, “Nobody knows, nobody knows.”
Well, if nobody knows, then how can anyone rule out Intelligence? Dawkins looked like a complete idiot. I guess that’s why he’s anti-intelligence, because clearly he has none.
I understand now. And those other “things” came from other things which came from other things.
But, I don’t know what you mean by other forms of energy. Can you be specific?
So, anyone hear from Gavin Newsome lately?
OMY ,,, why are you inviting the Wrath of God on us by promoting your gay agenda on the rest of the public. What are you going to do when you find out you are on the Judgement Seat? What if your thinking is wrong? You think your 70 plus whatever years is going to be it? The evil one surely has your eyes clouded if you can’t see how we are in the last days indeed? I will pray for you that you won’t be eternally lost. I am sure that Prop 8 will be overturned and you will have your way but Christianity will not be wiped out. It is growing fast in Africa, China and other parts of the world. Please don’t be close minded on such a eternal issue.
You don’t know that. The only thing you can be sure of is that “you think therefore you exist.” Descartes
SoCal My hobby is quantum physics. The only thing QP is sure of is that everything is a wave and waves do not exist. They aren’t matter. Who or what is waving is the question.
Maybe I don’t know for sure, but YOU think you do… therein lies the problem.
If I am willing to admit that I don’t know for sure.. are you?
I thought I was the only one that remember Ma & Pa Kettle.
I never said that.
Observable Natural Law dictates my actions. Yours to.
Ghey gene. If you have it, how does it survive if evolution is true. Two ghey’s cannot reproduce so even a simple thing like the ghey gene would have gone buh-bye! Simple solution, force it on children as normal and teach them it is a natural process of evolution. Pile the lies on all of their life and see what they believe as they grow up.
FamilyMan,
I’ll say it without reservation, YHWH has always existed and I have no fear of having someone try and rump hump me – I have a pistol that evlved from nothing that would keep my 6 safe.
first off ktvu panders to this class in the bay area and second its not the Castro district its eureka valley . If any of these idiots were from the city they would know this . But this filth washed up into the city in the late 60′s and ruined a once great city.
Why I don’t miss living in San Fran part 823947. That and the unmistakable scent of feces and urine that glides up Market Street when it gets really hot there. Yuck.
you might find this interesting…the whole copernican principle is in trouble…

Have any of you read The Shack by Wm. Paul Young?
Sounds like Bourbon Street….or maybe smells like?
It’s really too bad to see this city turn into such trash. It’s been trash for a while, and it will be for a long time.
Thanks to the hippie generation, permissive lifestyles, anything goes attitude, sanctuary city, rent controls, the list goes on…
Sigh…what could have been.
Well, I’m certainly all ears to hear your personal idea of “Genesis”, SC.
So, have at it and tell us your version of just what your personal “something” was “in the beginning” – and then explain from whence your something came.
I never dismiss eyewitness testimony out of hand.
You dare mock Darwin, Soap??!? Why it’s obvious that a hunk of steel appeared out of nowhere and just kept changing itself until it became a gun!
Yes Yes Thank you. Isn’t the creation incredible.
This is terrible! I’m amazed at how so many people can demand freedom and tolerance for themselves but deny the same consideration to others. The behavior of these protestors makes me much less willing to be tolerant of homosexuals and their lifestyle. I’ll try to keep reminding myself that I must love the sinner while hating the sin…as hard as that may be.
peep,
Darwin mocked his own theory. I just like to join in now and again. My favorite goes something like: If man had been on earth for 3 million years, we wouldn’t be able to walk out our back door without stepping on fossils (or something to that effect- too lazy to look it up at the moment). You should see how the cartridges evolved for my come from nothing pistol.
right4life,
Great link – thanks.

Doubly wrong.
I challenge you to show me where the phrase “separation of church and state” is “enshrined the in the constition”. You can’t. You won’t even find the word “separation” anywhere in the Constitution.
The 1st Amendment limits Congress, not the church. The 1st Amendment is about protecting the rights of the church in its varied forms of expression: speech, press, assembly, and petition.
The Constitution restricts Congress from establishing religion, but not from endorsing it. Our Congress has endorsed Christianity since the opening prayer of the very first session of Congress.
If you want an example of an act of Congress that truly is unconstitutional under the first amendment, here’s one.
And to your second point of “gays are stripped of pre-existing rights”… Sorry, no sale. Gays did not have a pre-existing right to state-recognized marriage. You have twisted the truth 180 degrees.
Here’s A Little History Lesson for you.

Yeah, Soap, my phrase is “we should be wading hip-deep in the alleged ‘transitional life forms’”. And you’ve cited just human life. Factor in the other millions of life-types over gazillions of years and we’re talking a Mt.Everestt of bones that should be covering the world!

Animals behave like animals, and this bunch isn’t much different. If you’re not inclined to believe in truth, you’re destined to believe in a lie (like evolution and all it teaches).

eductateeducateI can’t stand my own typos!
Here we go again. So if our beliefs are different than others, then we’re bigots and haters. This is getting really old. Beyond old. Look in the mirror once in a while.

Anybody thinks this isn’t about denial of God has just got to be living in a box. Really though, the hate from these people isn’t so much towards us, but more towards God.

Indeed, those calling others “bigot”, “hater”, and “racist” are usually the ones who are most guilty.
There really is a culture war (I call it Spiritual Warfare) going on against the Judeo-Christian values that are the bedrock foundation of our society. Whether the battlefield is gay marriage, evolution, or even global warming, the goal of the left is the same: replace God’s truth with lies.
1) If you believe in Gay marriage, you reject the Bible’s calling homosexuality an abomination.
2) If you believe in evolution, you reject the Biblical account of Jesus.
3) If you believe in global warming, you believe humans are a problem, and you reject the Bible’s authority when it says, “be fruitful and multiply”.
The goal in all of these examples, and others, is to raise generations of voters who reject the Bible and the truth.
When one rejects the truth, they will accept any lie.
And that “De-moral-ization” is the first step to losing everything we hold dear in this country. It’s been going on for decades, and now we’ve moved through destablization and are deep in crisis and going deeper. We are on the threshold of Obama taking this country to Communist Normalization unless the Supreme Court requires him to prove he meets the Constitutional prerequisite of being a Natural Born and lifetime Citizen of the United States.
Gotta love a few quotes from this video…
If they followed me home, they’d have the business end of my 12 gauge waiting for them. There’s no way they’d get close to hurting my family.
By what standard would they attribute shame on certain behaviors? Don’t they believe that all behavior is tolerable? Why such intolerance of intolerance?
What are the Christians doing that is hypocritical?
Ah, more tolerance.
Not when the left are the ones who have fewer children than conservatives.
And after what happened at me at work tonight, I think all liberals are, quite frankly, full of s*it and I’m done pretending I care what they think. They are the intolerant, ignorant, hateful ones and it’s too damn late to convince me otherwise.
We’re right. They’re wrong. And they’re just sore losers.
(By the way, If you’re looking to hire a good conservative in the Milwaukee area, e-mail me, because I’m looking.)

While I’m spot on with you on the issue of gay marriage, you’d likely exclude me and a lot of other Christians on the last two -
Evolution. My trouble with evolution is with those who proclaim it “irrefutable fact”, in Omu’s own words. That smacks of an article of faith, as evolution is only a theory. That being said, many Catholics, Orthodox, and other Christians see no problem with the Creation account in Genesis as being more allegorical – in fact, St. Augustine and some of the other Church Fathers saw it as such. We believe that God made the universe, and made our first parents (one set of parents for the human race has scientific support, BTW), and that our first parents messed things up for the rest of us.
Global Warming. I have no trouble acknowledging that temperatures may have gotten warmer. I do think it has more to do with sunspots and longer-term weather cycles than anything else. Besides which, even if humans are causing climate problems, do you really think the UN will go after the chief polluters? You know the answer as well as I do.
Temps have gotten warmer? where?
Prince Consort,
If you believe Jesus Christ is who the Bible says he is, then at what point does the Bible record of the Genealogy of Jesus Christ stop being true? Which of the people in that list were real people, and which people are merely allegorical?
I should have been more clear on Global Warming… I, like you, believe that the climate does change (it’s cyclical), and has more to do with sunspots and longer-term weather cycles than anything else. It’s Anthropogenic (man-made) Global Warming that is a lie.
On November 17th, 2008 at 11:11 pm, ajmontana said:
Indeed. Sunspot activity is at a low (practically no sunspots at all) and
that has resulted in Global COOLING, not Global Warming.
Man is not a significant influence on Global temperatures.
It’s arrogant for people to think we are.
But the truth about the climate, just like the truth about Intelligent Design, is expelled from academia by the Vast LEFT-Wing Conspiracy.
Those who can’t handle the truth try to silence those who speak it.
They gotta deny God or else face their sin. In this instance, pride wins the war.
Christians better wake up. If we don’t take a stand here it’ll only get worse.
Pride…a really deadly sin.
Good night all.
Man, you gotta be kidding me. I suppose that the perpetrator of this sexual assault is not currently in a cell?
The term ‘gay marriage’ is an oxymoron, and I’m really tired of special interest groups attempting to change the definitions of words to make themselves feel better about their lifestyles.
I don’t give one rat’s fart if gays want to enter into civil contracts with one another and maintain committed relationships and be treated as family members for the purposes of hospital visitation, inheritance, et al. As long as both parties are consenting adults, their lifestyles and life choices (and yes, choosing to commit to another person legally is a life choice) are between them and God, but if the consenting adults are of the same gender, it can never be marriage.
Marriage is what it is. Just because a bunch of hysterical al Gayda wackos choose not to operate in the realm of reality doesn’t change it.
Gay Nazism. I know Nazi analogies are ubiquitous, but seriously, this is the beginning of fascism.
If it were the other way around, it would be a hate crime.
Where are the political leaders? Where is the mayor? These people should be urging tolerance from the very people who have been demanding it for so many years.
So disturbing the peace is not against the law in San Francisco?
I guess Democracy isn’t acceptable to the radicals in the homosexual community when it goes against their princples so they would rather “get in your face” and try to change thing via intimidation and violence?
I guess tolerance is a one-way street with the radicals in the homosexual community. You must tolerate them but they are allowed to be intolerant?
Quite hypocritical.
Just Arnie’s way of staying out of it.
sounds like an invitation
What was there, before the Big Bang? Can anyone even conceptualize what existed before time and space were created?
The Big Bang created the space-time continuum.
In the absence of those fundamental qualities, how could there have been things? How could there have even been a before??
A better question might be: “Who made it go “BANG!”?
There had to be something there prior to the big bang to, you know, make it go bang…
How could there have been “things”. So funny. “How do it KNOW?”
God spoke it into existance…and only took 6 days to do the whole thing.
Genesis ch. 1 gives the whole account as to what happened that week in God’s kitchen. Read it…very cool! I would imagine it was a really loud bang…maybe several.
Good morning englishqueen.
In quantum physics, we can now say that there are infinite numbers of dimensions with a infinite numbers universes.
The more I look at science, the more I see an omnipotent creator.
There were people living in the USA before us, there were Woolly Mammoths here before them… and there were dinosaurs and MANY other life forms living before the Mammoths..
Time has destroyed most evidence, but obviously there is a long line of development. Perhaps NOTHING started anything… maybe it has just always been one thing after another; just “big bang” after big bang… who the hell knows.
Believing in a few deteriorated scraps of parchment pulled out of a cave, written by a bunch of primitive mud hut people who invented gods to help them get through the night, just seems desperate and foolish.
Mookie,
Hopefully they fry that guy, but I’ve never understood ‘hate crime’ he killed a man, why is making it a hate crime worse? he’s just as dead.
SoCal
We live in a dualist theology. All things of thought are linear. There was yesterday, today and tomorrow. That is an observable fact. What your trying to argue is outside our ability. In a world of dualism there must be fat and thin, pretty and ugly and good and bad. In this world we must make a judgmental stand because we have no other possibilities.
I mention your brother in my prayers every morning, 30.
In Christian ethics, making a judgmental stand is called sin. The definition of sin is a separation from God. It is outside the ability of linear thought to see God.
We must therefor live with social covenants that judge good and bad.
In this country our social covenant is our Constitution. The writers of this document understood the dualistic nature of man and therefor built in safeguards to protect us from the abusive of government.
Sure we do. Stop worrying so much about it… life is short, enjoy. Quit trying to live forever…
When did I say that?
Wow. So much here. Let’s parse your comment…
So, it’s okay for Christians who just robbed…
The Bible teaches us that stealing is wrong. So what possessions of those people were taken from them?
…the rights of gay people…
Which rights were those? The right to marry a person of the opposite sex? They already have that right. If you’re referring to some other right, please site the document or source for that right. Otherwise you’re just making stuff up.
…in a cruel…
What distress was inflicted? Are you truly equating passing a state constitutional amendment to torture or barbarism? Or is this just a “drama queen” moment?
…and disgusting fashion…
Praying for someone is disgusting? I find the homosexual lifestyle disgusting. It is disgusting that humans would give themselves so willingly over to a sinful, animal-like sexual lifestyle, identify themselves by their abhorrent actions, and attack others who merely wish to free them from the addiction of their destructive lifestyle. It is disgusting to allow someone to drown in their sin and not offer them the lifeline to save them.
…to parade around…
Whoa there cowboy! Talking about parades in a strongly homosexual portion of SF might earn you an “R” rating just for the reference! Those “parades” are horribly grotesque outings flaunting their sexual depravity. To use those words, with the stories context, is well… projection.
… in a gay district
So, what you’re telling me is that Christians SHOULDN’T go to areas where the Word is needed. But that isn’t what Christ commanded. He told us to go and preach the good news (the Great Commandment). If it’s a choice between making people who are drowning in their sin “uncomfortable” and doing what Christ commanded, and throwing them a lifeline… I’ll follow Christ’s commands any day.
And at least for now… I was still under the impression that our 1st amendment rights (REAL rights, not imagined ones) were still valid.
Christians may have gone to the neighborhood, but it was the homosexuals who came out of their houses to attack them.
And in the latter days, people will call good evil, and evil good…
really, then one of your intellect
should be able to easily disprove what was written on those scraps…go ahead…good luck
time destroys things, but of course vast periods of time are required to evolve things…neat trick of evolution huh?
We must make judgments otherwise we live in an anarchistic state. That means that you better be better with a gun than I am.
On the one hand, the way Christians were treated is absolutely horrible, and the people who asaulted them need to go to jail. On the other hand, I think the gays should simply form their own religion and have their own preacher marry them. There is no sense trying to reform the major religions which prohibit homosexuality. Leave the Christians and Jews to believe what they believe. So if a gay and lesbian preacher marries a couple, let them call themselves husband and husband or wifexwife, or whatever use whatever term they wish. Who gives a damn?
According to So Cal, He is enjoying his reward now and living out his small 70-80yrs. After this he will stand in judgement trying to explain his life long denail of the Living God. Jesus often said the scoffers now are getting their reward now. His eyes are blinded by the lies of the devil now and they need to be opened up to see the Truth. Anyway even if he is right he only gets these few years while Christians have a great life even if we are wrong. If we are right then So Cal is indeed in trouble.
Amen.
thats right, if the atheists are right, then we lose nothing, if they’re wrong, they lose everything.
and they think they’re rational
I’m not a Christian by the strict definition of most of you good people. I’ve arrived at my view of God through self examination and science. We have come to the same place from different roads and understand the absolute need to take a stand on aspects of good and evil. SoCal desires to live a life of incomplete introspection. He wants freedom without the consequences of judgement. He needs to grow more by truly facing his mortality.
Oops, flag on the play. You just used ‘rational’ in a discussion about SoCal.
Remember, he claims to be enlightened by saying he does not know what happened that caused life to come into being, but he is 100% sure that we are wrong about it.
I am always amazed at the arrogance of the Left.
