Chuck Hagel auditions for Obama appointment

Answer: Bash Rush Limbaugh.
As his Senate career nears its end, Republican Chuck Hagel isn’t holding back when it comes to criticizing members of his own party — including conservative talk radio hosts.
“We are educated by the great entertainers like Rush Limbaugh,” Hagel said Tuesday during a speech in Washington, according to the Huffington Post.
“You know, I wish Rush Limbaugh and others like that would run for office,” a sarcastic Hagel continued. “They have so much to contribute and so much leadership and they have an answer for everything. And they would be elected overwhelmingly. [The truth is] they try to rip everyone down and make fools of everybody but they don’t have any answers.”
Hagel has increasingly become critical of his party in the aftermath of the Iraq War and notably held back endorsing his longtime friend John McCain during the presidential campaign. He’s reportedly under consideration for a cabinet post in the Obama administration.

Not sure if that statement alone is the reason Sen Hagel would secure a position in an Obama Administration. Moreover, taking the messenger to task vice the message is one way to go, but what Sen Hagel said, does have it’s merits. A tad bit bitter, yet I can agree with it, narrowly.

Reagan showed his skills as a leader as president of the Screen Actors Guild for 7 of the most tumultuous years in Hollywoods history and as Governor of the state of California for two full terms before deciding to run for president.
Hitler actually showed more leadership than Obama by running his party for nine years before becoming appointed to the position of Arch Chancellor.
Obama has yet to show any leadership skills, he’s been little more than an ineffectual representative (a representative is not a leader but a follower by definition) by voting present 137 times in the Illinois state legislature, then in the US Senate he chose to abandon the people he promised to represent for 6 years after only a few months. Any legitimate claim to leadership must be due to his role as a “Community Organizer” in the most FAILED community in the country.

Rush Limbaugh is an entertainer. He has said so himself. The only difference between the brain-dead socialists (sorry for the redundancy) in Hollyweird and Rush is that he is intelligent. He stands for what is right, what is American, what is good; he stands for freedom.
The liberals can’t stand him because he exposes them and all their warts to a group of people that are tired of same socialist spew coming from the old media.
His listeners know what he stands for; it’s what they stand for, too. Unlike Barack Obama, Rush proudly wears an American Flag lapel pin. He doesn’t flip-flop on the issues like John “f-ing” Kerry does. He doesn’t bash the military like Durbin, Murtha, et.al., and then live off the taxpayers, in comfort and the safety of which that military provides.
Rush believes in freedom. Obama believes in socialism. That is the ultimate statement about their differences. Rush doesn’t care to run for office for the same reason many of us would never run for office; it is beneath us.
