al Qaeda calls Obama “House Negro:” Zawahiri just lacks, you know, “empathy”

So, al Qaeda bigwig Ayman Zawahiri has insulted Barack Obama as a dishonorable black and a House Negro. (Full transcript and audio at NEFA.) B-b-b-but I thought Obama’s election was supposed to change the world’s attitudes about America! What happened to “The World Wants Obama?” And I thought only us meanie conservatives were the RAAAACISTS?
What will Obama’s response be, many are wondering today. If you’ve been paying attention, you already know: This is the fool who in the days following the 9/11 attacks wrote that what the jihadists needed was more…empathy. Flashback:
Even as I hope for some measure of peace and comfort to the bereaved families, I must also hope that we as a nation draw some measure of wisdom from this tragedy. Certain immediate lessons are clear, and we must act upon those lessons decisively. We need to step up security at our airports. We must reexamine the effectiveness of our intelligence networks. And we must be resolute in identifying the perpetrators of these heinous acts and dismantling their organizations of destruction.
We must also engage, however, in the more difficult task of understanding the sources of such madness. The essence of this tragedy, it seems to me, derives from a fundamental absence of empathy on the part of the attackers: an inability to imagine, or connect with, the humanity and suffering of others. Such a failure of empathy, such numbness to the pain of a child or the desperation of a parent, is not innate; nor, history tells us, is it unique to a particular culture, religion, or ethnicity. It may find expression in a particular brand of violence, and may be channeled by particular demagogues or fanatics. Most often, though, it grows out of a climate of poverty and ignorance, helplessness and despair.
We will have to make sure, despite our rage, that any U.S. military action takes into account the lives of innocent civilians abroad. We will have to be unwavering in opposing bigotry or discrimination directed against neighbors and friends of Middle Eastern descent. Finally, we will have to devote far more attention to the monumental task of raising the hopes and prospects of embittered children across the globe—children not just in the Middle East, but also in Africa, Asia, Latin America, Eastern Europe and within our own shores.

I really can’t believe you do not see the potential pitfalls of having the person who is going to attain power start acting in a way that leaves any doubt as to who is currently in charge. Obama is rightly keeping his head mostly down, deferring to Bush, and working on transition issues and staffing.
And again, what the hell do you want him to say to “house negro”? “I’m rubber, your glue”? What grand policy decision should he be making in response to a childish taunt?

Not at all, moron. Conservatives have never used the words “house negro,” or any of its variations used by such luminaries as Henry Belafonte, in describing Senator Barack Obama. No one on this board, as far as I know, has said a word about his race being an issue except the leftists that MM let in. Our reasons for opposing his run for the Presidency are based on 1) his historical voting record, 2) his statements about policies he supports, 3) his associates whom he threw under the bus only when they became embarassing, and 4) the stampede of the MSM to annoint him “the One” without so much as a critical look at his experience, his beliefs, his background, and his qualifications.
Al-Zawahiri hates Senator Obama because he is an American. He hates you because you are an American. He hates me because I am an American. Of the three of us, I am probably the only one who is a real danger to al-Zawahiri.

The guy just isn’t the sharpest pencil in the box and dealing with the realities of leadership is “above his paygrade”. Reminds me of a scene from a Robert Redford film titled “The Candidate” where the title character (Redford) runs a Senatorial campaign consisting of nothing more than meaningless panderings, slogans and bromides, ala Hopenchange. When he wins, he meets with his campaign manager in an empty supply room. He looks at the campaign mgr with Obamaesque deer-headlight eyes and plaintively queries – “What do we do now??”

NOPE it’s the same old one, running the country into the ditch. Giving affordable mortgages to people who couldn’t afford them. And because of this Democrat Social Engineering Project gone BAD, the Country is Circling the Drain. Now the Democrats want to prop up a Failing Auto Industry that promises it won’t change it’s outdated business model, and will eventually go out of business anyway after it sucks more of our tax payer dollars. The Democrats have to funnel that money to the Unions for getting everyone to VOTE for Obama. Destroy the Nation? I call what the Democrats are doing, Picking at the Carcass.

Race was never an issue. It was only brought up by the Left in order to gain votes, which is their usual tactic…emotion, not logic. The Left will always use race in order to consolidate power. Obama’s opposition was based on experience, voting record, and political philosophy. There are some black politicans/celebrities that I would not have any reservations in supporting. People who believe that we voted against him, based on our racism, are the true fools. So what is Obama going to do about Zawahiri? Why, invite him to the white house, of course…for talks.
Does this mean they won’t have Seder together?
