The miracle of Haleigh Poutre

Almost three years ago, I started blogging about beautiful Haleigh Poutre. She’s the miracle child who was nearly beaten to death by her barbaric stepfather. Hooked to a ventilator in a comatose state, she was then nearly condemned to death by Massachusetts medical experts and the state’s criminally negligent child welfare bureaucracy, which hastily declared her to be in a hopeless vegetative state and wanted to pull the plug on her life. Thank God, the campaign to kill her was stopped. This blessed angel has been nursed back to health by an amazing team of caring therapists. Her plight brought end-of-life issues again to the fore — issues that so many on both the left and right would prefer to ignore. The stepfather is standing trial now for child abuse. And that trial has produced video of Haleigh’s progress that will bring you to tears.
The girl the state of Massachusetts wanted to remove from life support is now writing her name, brushing her own hair, and feeding herself. Watch this, pass it on, and let it be a permanent warning against blind trust in the deadly duo of Big Nanny and Big Medicine:

……er…..I think I stated earlier that liberals love to wade in misery…instead of the other way around…to enjoy life and stand for it. They cannot logically nor rationally have a conversation. They are living oxymorons…”thinking liberals”…..does not compute.

There are indeed some people beyond Heroic.
Massachusetts does worship the Death Cult-except when it comes to murders–Massachusetts considers them Apostles of the Death Cult.
God Bless Haleigh Poutre and the caregivers who did such yeoman like work.
That’s one tough kid. Let’s hope she continues to astound - both for her sake, and I think it’s good for doctors to be reminded of just how little they know.

I highly doubt you have any children.
Wrong.
I cried when Michelle first reported on Haleigh, and not to be trite, but this reminds me of the Dropkick Murphys song “The State of Massachusetts”. The state would just rather have you die or have the problem “disappear” than address what’s wrong and potentially save someone’s life. Every time I listen to that song, now, it will be a tribute to Haleigh Poutre.

At what point would you like to starve and dehydrate them? Extended coma? Partial paralysis? A particularly bad case of flu?
Hey playblu,
Too bad you didn’t get to Rick Hoyt before he grew up, huh? You could have put him out of his misery, unlike what his dad did for him.
