Both sides are playing silly games and pushing the limits.

Chapoutier....Yes, both sides are playing the games and I am so glad. Usually, it is just the dems who play the games and we take it in the a$$.

Common sense and government employees do not co-exist.

Profoundly true. And your reference to "scrapped" was cute!

If there were voting issues/problems last time, wouldn’t it make sense to learn from those and improve the process? And the same thing about another state’s issues/problems. Why do things not get fixed? And just who is against getting things fixed? Is the “don’t-give-a-sh*t” meter running on empty? When are those non-electronic ballot states gonna hold training classes on how to fill out a ballot? That could solve a lot of issues.

Your post makes way too much sense. That’s why it’ll never happen. For some reason, folks enjoy hitting their heads on a brick wall and then complaining about it. And apparently, “learning from your mistakes” is just a catchy phrase.

I'm all for a national ID card, nothing big brother at all about it, it would have your address, your birth date....wouldn't even have to have a social security number...that's it. But the terror is, you'd have to show residence by having that card... that terrifies liberals to no end.... and criminals , and illegals.... and .....

There's a lunatic conspiracy theorist named David Icke who writes that all of the world's leaders are actually Illuminati lizard men from the hollow Earth disguised as humans. He's a 9/11 Truther, too. My friend's wife was a big fan of his books.

I'm not surprised that someone who reads Icke and lacks the mental capacity to fill in a bubble on a ballot properly would go for Franken.

I believe I know the origin of the phrase "lizard people." There is a writer named Robert Crais who has written a series of detective novels. One of the main characters is named Joe Pike. Pike refers to all lawyers as "lizard people." It's not a compliment.

This is one of the many reasons I’m thinking a national I.D. card is in our future.
Can't. that would be RAAAAACIST and would lend itself to intimidating minorities. Don't you read the papers?

in missouri, we have much the same election laws as oklahoma, even though i witnessed what i believe was voter fraud by an individual in front of me who didn't present a photo id or his registration card, but to all white voters in this state, you must present verifiable id showing you reside here and are registered to vote and are authorized to vote. when i asked my voter volunteer why this guy didn't have to show a photo id, she said he didn't need to because he was newly registered. all the more reason to ask to see an id which gives his name, address, and some way to see if he is voting in more than one place under more than one name.
