“I see the No. 1 benefit of this election as one-party control,”

So... We don't like what we have to reap after we have trashed the GOP for ages here?

Heh, the democrats haven't even started yet.

After I got out of college, I went to Park City Utah and worked at Deer Valley Ski Resort for 4 years. Back then only the "Elites" came to Park City, and their was PLENTY of snow(1985 Record Snowpack) and honest to God I NEVER heard one word about "Global Warming"... Not from Jane Fonda, Not from Robert Redford (who happens to own Sundance Ski Resort in Provo Canyon).

I was stupid enough to actually pay for my Vail Resorts pass this year. The government can help the ski industry by refunding my ski pass. Then I can use it to stay at the expensive hotels at the base of Vail. That way the hotel industry won't need to line up for a bail out.

Are you kidding me? Most of the ski resorts in Colorado are leased from government land and the Forest Service dictates when the season is open.

When the government says you are closed - you are closed. One resort ended its season with more than 120 inches of snow left on the slopes. All of the seasonal workers from New Zealand, South Africa, South America, etc have to go back to school and base their travel on the closing date.

Early bookings may be down, but with $20 parking, $10 pizzas, 45 minute lift lines and no discounted sales, I havent seen the downturn yet this season. They should be able to make a profit off of me alone.

Since I am single white male and am personally subsidizing the whole rest of the country, if you all can send me a little extra of your cash, I will promise to increase the money I spend snowboarding this year (even if I have to contribute to every co-eds college fund too) and we can all bypass the government and cut out the middlemen.

Michelle - six months ago I started a buggy whip company. However, due to the economic downturn, sales have dropped from two a month to 1 a month. Do I qualify for 1 million in aid? Thanks!

Does it take the roll type, or plastic caps?

Well, hey, Las Vegas and the entire state of Nevada depends on the gaming industry. With this whole crappy economy, we are losing revenue and unemployment is at a 23 year high. The view of the strip is marred with half-built casino/hotels because the credit isn't flowing.

I propose that the feds give every American over the age of 21 some cash to travel to Vegas and gamble. Some will win, some will lose but Nevada will be bailed out. Our state is too big to fail.
