Five most laughable words Obama has spoken as president-elect
There’s a lot to choose from, I know. But these five snort-worthy — no, gag-worthy — words from Barack Obama’s radio address over the weekend will be hard to beat:
“A government that spends wisely.”

Has there ever in all of recorded history been such a government? I believe that is right up there with the all-time oxymorons.
Imus wonders when it will be safe to laugh again.

I’ve got 5 words for him:
“Your tax dollars at work”

Barack Obama = Wet Blanket
“A government that spends wisely”…. thats right up there with “The most ethical congress ever”!
Did we elect a politician or the latest winner of “Last Comic Standing”, because that was pretty funny, Obama.
I think he’s referring to Frank Government. I used to live across the street from him. He always had the best tools, nicest lawn, most reliable vehicles. It’s true. He did spend wisely.
His sister, Libby, though. That was a Government that did NOT spend wisely.
The only time I ever saw the Gov’t spend wisely we landed on the moon in 1969.
Wow. I believe that trumps “Naval Intelligence” as an oxymoron.
That would be CHANGE.
I think that depends on what your definition of ‘wisely’ is. It’s obvious to me that it takes on an entirely new meaning in the Beltway.
We are the government. Of the people, by the people, and for the people. He is acting like a parent and his subject are his children. WE know best! Wrong.
within the Beltway.
Luckily for me… I’m on vacay the rest of the week. Woohoo!
Agreed. I would add waging The Global War on Terror is money well spent as well. May God Bless all our men and women in uniform and all those who serve.
Mr. Obama is clearly in full “spread the wealth” mode.
I’m laughing so I won’t cry.
Where the hell is this liberal government taking us? Yes, sadly, I include President Bush in that equation.
I thought they were, “I will be your president” when spoken to non Obamazoid pod-people.
Oh, come on.
That’s not even close to:
“I support the Second Amendment.”
My five words:
Please, shut up.
“Bring you to your knees.”
Yep, five words.
Where do I meet the gubbermint that spends wisely? Probably the same gubbermint employee who says these five words “I support the Second Amendment”.
They’re just as laughable coming from Obama as they are from the current president, unfortunately.
What was the ROI on the fifty million Chairman Zero spread around as part of the Annenberg Challenge? Did the schools on the south side of Chicago become magnificent?
Mr. Change? Love it! Obama has shown his his idea of change is bringing back all of Clinton’s people and trying to push the same socialist liberal agenda. And he’s already telling people he can’t keep his campaign promises.
Mr. Change can easily be confused with a white guy from Arkansas named Bill. Future female interns should be on full alert.
Wow. So that is the plan to jump start the economy. Give everyone a government job to do. So when the bill comes due we just give back the money we just made so we can pay the foreign bond holders that loaned us the money to pay ourselves.
My head is spinning.
When I see libs who keep on repeating the “change” line I simply want to shake my head and think “SUCKER”
5 words for him…
“Take a Hike Dill Weed”
Yeah, but are we due for another big Tech/Y2K bubble to stimulate the economy like under Clinton?
Spread the Wealth A Round.
Yes, I know it is only four words, but it is a bizarre play on Biden’s three letters J.O.B.S mishap.
“Change you can(’t) believe in”
ROI is a four letter word to these people.
As President Reagan said, “The nine most terrifying words in the English language are: ‘I’m from the government and I’m here to help.’”
Barack Obama: “Damn glad to meet you!” (as he reaches out his hand into my back pocket)
People believe this crap?
Joe Biden asked me to remind you that “a government that spends wisely” is four little words…
Then the earth will heal…”
Is right up there in the 5 word nonsensical phrases parade.
“A government that spends wisely.”
Should actually just be read as “A government that spends.”
Doesn’t exist in the USA. All levels of gov have been on massive spending sprees and now they can all watch the tax base dry up. Time to have a new version of the Boston Tea Party; throw a congressman into the Potomic.
A government that spends wisely.
I will unite the country.
We are screwed in ‘08.
Michelle, the candidate known as Barack Hussein Obama II
The election for President is December 15th, when the Electoral College votes.
There are not one, but TWO different lawsuits before the United States Supreme Court right now, challenging this candidate’s eligibility in regards to the Constitution’s “Natural born citizen” requirement.
He is NOT the President-elect currently and, if deemed ineligible, he CANNOT be elected President.
The only document this candidate has produced is a proven forgery!
Even if he were to produce his vault Birth Certificate and be proven to have been born in Hawaii (instead of Kenya, as his paternal grandmother insists he was), he STILL would not be constitutionally eligible to become President because his father’s British citizenship was conferred upon him, and the “Natural born citizen” requirement precludes those with dual citizenship (divided loyalties to another country).
On top of that, any citizenship he held would have been renounced when he was adopted by his Indonesian step-father. At this point in time, Obama is most likely either still an Indonesian citizen, or a Naturalized U.S. citizen…neither of which meets the “Natural born citizen” Constitutional requirement to hold the office of President of the United States.
The longer and more often the lie is repeated of “Obama is President-elect”, the worse the shock will be when the truth is exposed.
This is infinitely more important than the forged Bush National Guard memos, yet you are completely ignoring it.
WHY?
Close. I think Journalistic Integrity is the most obvious oxymoron I’ve ever heard.
There had better be some pies involved…
As for the government spending wisely – thank goodness, I was starting to be concerned…
I agree with you, RedPill. It is a very important issue. However, it is winding it’s way through our legal system and there isn’t much that can be done except watch.
I fear that the Ministry of Propaganda (ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN, NYT, etc.) will just do what they did for Clinton; “Oh! That’s old news. So why bother reporting it?”
The only hope is that the SCOTUS declares him constitutionally ineligible for the office of President. Unfortunately, they may take “backlash” into account instead of the constitution and the law. So, we’ll get stuck with a foreigner as president and the constitution takes another hit.
Why is it that, if my friends included Bill Ayers, I would not be eligible to hold a TS clearance, yet the presumed President-elect CAN get a security clearance?
MM, here are the five stupid words that trump any others this Elmer Gantry scam artist has ever said:
Change We Can Believe In
Or:
For The Change We Need
What the hell does that even mean? Really? Is it change when you surround yourself with Clintonistas (cough cough) I mean “rivals.”
This man really does think Americans are stupid. Then again, when you’re using meaningless, empty, expectation-charged rhetoric, it really does grab the dopey sheep, doesn’t it?
I believe the correct time might be “President-elect presumptive”, Pill.
That should be “term”, not “time”. D’oh!
I personally loved his news conference today introducing his economic cabinet.
He went a LONG way toward saying that EVERYONE (especially conservative and liberal economists) agree with him.
And that’s that. No need to debate. No need for partisanship, no problems with conservatives.
Well, THIS conservative economist DOES have a problem with his ‘plan’ to SPEND MY MONEY. The moment his plan doesn’t include more spending is when actual conservatives wouldn’t have a problem with it.
Citi should fail. This latest move merely helped support the Saudi prince who has a 5% stake in Citi. Thank goodness we are looking out for ‘main street’ when we bail out the Saudi prince with main street’s money.
No no, MALE interns! He doesn’t swing towards females, haven’t you heard?
We have to remember our definitions folks:
Invest: paying taxes
Cut: not increasing as much as somebody somewhere wanted.
Patriotism: investment (see definition 1)
capitalism: having the government take over entities employing more than 1
choice: do it their way
So with the above, I can see Obama honestly meant what he said.
Of course my definition is a government that spends wisely spends none.
Once the sheeple have spoken and elected their Leader, by definition he’s at the top of the heap.
I haven’t looked closely at the application for employment in his administration. But, I’m curious if it would exclude him were he applying.
Of course he does emjem24 – A majority of americans voted for him (well – maybe more accurately, a majority of the ballets counted had his name)
Why would he believe we aren’t stupid? (or at least the majority)
I remember another Five Funny Words from a pre-inaugurated Billy Jeff Clinton…
Cabinet That Looks Like America
…followed closely by:
My Middle-Class Tax Cut
I’m not tellin’. Nope. Nah-uh.
P-s-s-s-t, Aloha – rumor has it that 30 really CAN bake pies!
“This is infinitely more important than the forged Bush National Guard memos, yet you are completely ignoring it.”
I guess “Dirty Dan” Rather had bigger fish to gut this past November 2nd than to break this story.
purplepeep, I’ve had enough of the “presumptive” media. They started calling McCain the “presumptive” Republican nominee less than three weeks after his fourth place finish in Iowa.
They used the “presumptive” title then like they are using it now… to program people to believe that it is already a “done deal”, i.e., an inevitable outcome.
In the primaries, that suppressed turnout for other Republican candidates.
Now, it is deceiving most people into believing that it’s smooth sailing for Barack Obama from here to the inauguration. But there are serious Constitutional issues to be addressed first. Questions that have been asked in the blogosphere for MONTHS, that Obama himself has refused to answer.
He’s creating a Constitutional crisis, and he has only himself to blame.
I think it is great that President-elect Obama is keeping his sense of humor. In difficult times it will be important. This guy is funnier than I ever imagined!
But, when is he going to get serious and tell us what he is going to do?
Hey Rambler! As that wild and crazy Ty Pennington would say:
“OK PEEEEOPLLLLLE! LET’S DO IIIIIIIIIT!”
When and where do we meet? Surely we can get enough strong folks to march in and carry them out to the river. Yeah, I know. Security and all that stuff. But it sure is a nice thought, though!
Or. While we’re talking feel-good stuff. How about marching the culprits out the front doors of the Capitol in orange jumpsuits, handcuffs and leg chains? Wouldn’t that feel good!? Sayin’ to them: “We the People have spoken. You suck! Out!”…warm fuzzies…
Can you spare some change?
This is the best description of government I’ve ever seen:
Much of Obama’s “wise” government spending will be to combat Global Climate Change. But the best way to reduce our carbon footprint and preserve natural resources is to be more efficient. Government does everything less efficiently than the private sector, so expanding the role of government is the wrong way to go.
The only wise government spending is less government spending.
The idea of government efficiency is best summed up in the following story.
A long time ago, a government official wanted to clean out old files and get rid of old paperwork. Being a member of the Senior Executive Service he collected a team of high ranking GS employees and set them on the task.
Two years later when the project came up for review the GS-15 proudly presented his report to the manager who had initiated the project. The GS-15 proudly claimed he had completely emptied the original record room and destroyed all the documents in question. However, he was going to need more filing cabinets and larger storage rooms to compete the task.
When asked why he replied, “Well, before we threw out any originals we made three copies first and now we need to file them.” He received a bonus and a promotion.
The OOOOOOOOO000bama presidency is going to be known for all of it’s zero’s, starting with the big O himself.
I don’t know about you all but I am glad the elections are over and the trolls are busy doing something other that infesting this blog. I think they are all dry humping the couch somewhere making themselves feel good about “The One”.
You’ve GOT to be $h!++!n me.
I don’t think this guy knows the campaign is over.

A pig that oinks quietly…
Dick Morris had a few gems on Hannity tonight: Hillary will be undermining Urkel in the State Department from the get-go. And if there’s a terrorist attack, she can claim, I warned him, but he didn’t listen — and thus begin running for 2012.
He also predicts Urkel to have a 20% approval rating two years from now.
But the biggest news was that Skeletor announced he would be stepping down from “Hannity” (didn’t elaborate as to when) to do “specials” for FOX and continue on FOX radio.
Maybe the network finally realized how many people don’t watch the show because they can’t stomach him…
not that anybody in D.C. cares but:
You work for US.
Maybe the Obama administration will be known as the “Looks Good On Paper” presidency.
Cap and trade?
National Health program?
Global Poverty Act?
Wiseguy and thug spending! The unannounced spending program that will make you believe!
…is a contradiction in terms.
