When the left MSM and blogs came out so strong as staff members for Obama I knew that was a a band I didn’t want to play in.
So, Congratulations Michelle! You just got the supreme endorsement and I couldn’t be more proud.
I once heard Robert Novak say of Mary Matalin, “I’m more of a conservative than she is, and she’s more of a Republican than I am.” I was baffled by that remark at first, but after this election cycle I understand very well. I am a conservative.
Speaking of Sour Grapes-Huffington Post blogger what his name? uses Michelle Malkin’s name to get blog hits is that Irony?
Imus is musing along the same theme “Irony” on the Obama Administrations “wet blanket” effect on Comedy…seems the sour people can’t get happy even when they win.

Oh, Michelle, I think that you should definitely take being #3 on Mr. Cohen’s dubious top 10 list as a “compliment.” I always find these kind of “lists” indicative of how hollow and empty these liberals seem to be every day of the week. I love how pointing out the flaws of the “enemy” is “hate.” However, I’m sure Chaps will come on and point out that I’m somehow a hypocrite while mewling the “my friend” line.
I found it it odd that Rush wasn’t on there. And Pres. Bush was #10? Wow, to claim that Pres. Bush was even a conservative was a bit of a stretch. Isn’t it interesting how the “enemy” seems to know what conservative is and what they hate yet label who really doesn’t fall into its perimeters and yet missing the one person who attracts the strongest following of conservatives on a daily basis.
Cohen, like his other liberal brethren, were the same creeps mewling about how terrible the last 8 years were even though the economy was booming and now we’re paying for all the economic consumer excess of free credit and not saving has done for us over time. Nah, these liberals wouldn’t know the principles of charity or prudent spending or saving (conservative values that millions of people have been living by) if it hit them in the face.
Republican does not = Conservative. And vice versa. Liberals don’t get it just like they continue to be historical dunces.
I think the term “Republicans” in that moronic list is code for, “10 people who don’t agree with me, have the temerity to express opinions ‘diverse’ from my own, and who I’d like to kill if I wasn’t such a coward.”
Sharkin’ your way to the top, Michelle. Good on you.

That’s pretty good how they put you ahead of Cheney. I can’t believe they equated you with Hitler, but that’s their favorite argument anyway. If the far left hate you, you are doing something right.

My list of Democrats to go:
1. Nancy Pelosi – “The most ethical Congress ever?” Please. Let me know when they do something about “Cold Cash” Jefferson and “Conflict of Interest” Pelosi.
2. Harry Reid – “The war is lost!” Another treasonous Chicken Little clone who couldn’t wait for the the surge to work, and it did.
3. Chuck Schumer – Another ethical champion with his crew’s illegal snooping into Mike Steele’s finances. Then there’s the IndyMac bank failure that he caused almost single-handedly. I won’t even go into his gun control dreams.
4. Barney Frank – Co-captain of the Democratic Caucus’ ethics team. “Freddy Mac and Fannie Mae don’t need no stinking oversight!” Then blames Republicans. Outed by WJC.
5. Chris Dodd – Barney’s co-captain.
6. Diane Feinstein – Gun control hypocrite and bad gun-handler. Has a concealed carry license but doesn’t think “Mr. and Mrs. America” need guns. Sweeps crowd with AK-47 semiautomatic rifle at a gun control D&PS with her finger on the trigger.
7. Barbara Boxer – Diane Feinstein lite.
8. Lyin’ Joe Biden – Need I say more?
9. Any member of the Kennedy Clan. It’s over folks. JFK wouldn’t recognize your politics.
10. Richard Daley aka “Little Dick Shortshanks,” hizzoner da mayor of Chicago – stalward opponent of the Second Amendment; thinks he can tax Chicago into the Olympics host city and spread the spoils to his extended family. In the meantime, the murder rate in the Windy City is so high that the police (who have had no contract in over a year) consider “Chalkie” one of their own.

I know this is way OT, but the only person I have heard allude to it is John Batchelor: Is it possible that the recent rash of Somali pirate activity may be an attempt by al Queda to secure funding for a major attack?
Won’t find an inquiring thought like that by any Huffington Post blogger, they’re too busy hating and bashing.
This Cohen guy appears to hate/fear good-looking, powerful women who think for themselves and aren’t afraid to voice their opinion. He wants them to just “…go away…”. I picture him cowering in a dark corner sucking his thumb.
There sure seems to be a shortage of real men on the left. I don’t question their patriotism, I question their manhood. Actually, I do question their patriotism too (Socialism should never be voted in – it should be forced by bombs and bullets).

#20 i agree, and am closing my business of 36 years come march 31 2008 and taking my wife and myself to our home in mexico. i ama book on tape listener/reader, and have library cards which get me free downloads on any computer. cost of living in st louis, 125k per year, cost of living in mexico, about 30k per year. eight employees out of jobs, but 6 of the 8 voted for change, and i’m just giving it to them. i’ve supplied my last government tax payment for those 7 other people, and they can try to collect unemployment from the state of misouri. see you in ajijic next spring.

The pirates have always been there, but they just got greedy. Even in the Straits of Malaca, which is a short transit, the Navy was always fully locked and loaded and on the lookout for pirates. And that was for a warship. What chance does a civilian ship have?

Isn’t it interesting how the self-proclaimed champions of tolerance and diversity are the first to make personal attacks against those who don’t act or think like they do. When they are unable to make a coherent intelectual argument, they resort to name calling.
Socrates said: “When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser.” In other words, only losers use slander to support their arguments. I don’t remember the last time I heard a liberal argument, especially from a liberal blog, that did not resort to slander, e.g. “baby killer Bush”, “the evil rich”, “fascist conservatives”, “extremist Christians”, etc. (And those are the nicer insults.)
Coulter wasn’t even on Ben Cohen’s list but he couldn’t resist insulting her anyway. I bet he can’t take his eyes off Obama’s ears, either, but he wouldn’t admit that out loud.

Was just curious. terrorists are notorious for exploiting weaknesses. Seems like the maritime shipping industries’ unwillingness to arm crew members and willingness to pay ransom is an easy target. I wonder how those ransom payments are made. Wire transfers to Swiss bank accounts? A “boatload” of cash paid directly to the pirates? The current situation seems like a recipe for disaster.
Pirates take ships and their crews hostage and hold them for ransom. Terrorists, from South America to Iraq, are known for taking people hostage and holding them for ransom. I fail to see much difference, except perhaps in scale.
Terrorists have also gotten funding by using fake, but very public, Islamic charities and by extorting funds from Islamic businesses. So I don’t see why they would shy away from piracy because it’s too “public”. You can’t get much more public than 911.
Terrorist “leaders” may shy away from public exposure, but they couldn’t care less about exposing their suicidal followers, as long as the trail doesn’t lead back to them. Piracy is only a step up from normal hostage taking. I don’t see why they wouldn’t horn in on at least a piece of the action if they have the opportunity.
So do libs know what “Ad hominem” means? Do they care?

Right, I replaced ‘Al Qaida’ with ‘Terrorists’, creating a generality and deviating from the original post. So, yes terrorists do use these methods, but they are not usually the Germans in ‘Die Hard’.
I also failed to mention an article I read earlier today about the local Islamists clamping down on the pirates that took the oil tanker.
I would think a NGO (non government organization) would want a continuous monetary steam rather than a few grandiose attacks that are only drawing the attention of the worlds navies. With these specifc Somoli pirates, their days left in this world are numbered. I doubt the Russians are going to let them walk away clean.
Islamic charities, smuggling cigarettes, kidnapping rich people, those are continuous streams.
Balance that with that terrorist attacks are political in nature.What political statements are Somoli pirates trying to make?
