Color-coded charity: No compassion for white men with cystic fibrosis
There’s only one word for the morons who canceled a college charity fundraiser for cystic fibrosis research because those who suffer from the disease aren’t racially diverse enough:
Real life transcends The Onion:
The Carleton University Students’ Association has voted to drop a cystic fibrosis charity as the beneficiary of its annual Shinearama fundraiser, supporting a motion that argued the disease is not “inclusive” enough.
Cystic fibrosis “has been recently revealed to only affect white people, and primarily men” said the motion read Monday night to student councillors, who voted almost unanimously in favour of it.
Every year near the beginning of fall classes, during university orientation for new arrivals, students fan out across the city and seek donations from passersby. According to the motion, “all orientees and volunteers should feel like their fundraising efforts will serve their (sic) diverse communities.”
Nick Bergamini, a third-year journalism student on the student council, said he was the only elected councillor present to vote against the motion. The decision is an example of campus political correctness gone too far, he said.
“They’re not doctors. They’re playing politics with this,” said Mr. Bergamini. “I think they see this, in their own twisted way, as a win for diversity. I see it as a loss for people with cystic fibrosis.”
Behold the rotten fruits of educational malpractice.

So they only oppose conditions that are policticaly correct? HUH????
If this was a fundraiser for Sickle Cell Anemia and it was cancelled, what do you think would be the reaction? This is truely unbelievable!
This doesn’t even make bad sense.
If this story is indeed completely accurate and true, it is worse than disgusting.
As a person, I find it disgusting.
As a doc, who in training had taken care of a cystic fibrosis patient and a sickle-cell patient, I find it monstrous.
This story needs to be blared into the nation’s face, put on O’Reilly’s show, the network news, etc.
This issue only tends to highlight and amplify the idiocy that abounds in today’s perverted society.
Another reason not to send your kids to college. I really think colleges are total waste of money.
Sickle cell anemia has already been cured — they changed the glue that is used on all the food stamps.
So does this mean that we can now stop forking over millions of dollars for AIDS research? While we’re at it, we need to get rid of all government funding for all STD research. Why? Because these diseases do not affect people who practice responsible behavior. How about giving that money to research cures for things like breast cancer, Lou Gehrig’s, and Alzheimer’s, diseases that aren’t affected by the choices of the individual? If the idea is to only give money to “equal opportunity” diseases, then I’m all for it.
I guess that is what they think us evil, terrible white guys deserve…what a bunch of disgusting people…
Let me preface this by saying that this is a dumb, and essentially inaccurate reason to not support a particular charity…
But they did NOT cancel a fundraiser. They decided not to have one particular charity as the beneficiary of the fundraiser. Now, this doesn’t make a whip of difference to the cystic fibrosis charity, but it presumably means that money is going to a different worthy charity.
I seriously question the sanity of people who think this way. Can there be anything more divisive and bigoted than this? And they actually think they are doing it in the name of “inclusiveness”. I just hope that someone else who is fundraising for research will add cystic fibrosis because of this incident. Maybe some good can come of this. As for the brainwashed masses in our college system, sadly, they are beyond help.
These are the kinds of “citizens” we are saddled with as a result of decades of secular Leftist infiltration of public schools and the popular culture. No leadership and no individual civic responsibility leads to a perverted society. I wish I had access to a big red “EXCORIATION” button.
Good one!
I guess Tay-Sachs would also not be PC. Wrong group…
This is totally disgusting!
You can try painting a happy face on this if you want, but the act by these morons is racist, pure and simple. And, with no respect intended, you are a fool for trying to defend the indefensible racism of this.
Haven’t had a lot of time to consider this but, here goes:
BTW, please note: Sickle cell also effects those of Mediterranean ancestry, such as So. Italians. Like me.
OK, so:
I would support such a move, if when confronted, they would say nothing, but reference this group’s actions.
The Lefty’s would stop this crap pretty quick if there were consequences to their favorites things. Think of it as a “time-out” for politically-correct morons.
Long live Sickle cell anemia!!!
I’m not getting that…what do you mean?
Not surprised. Heck, the Cancer Society for a while quite publishing pamphlets and info on testicular cancer. They used to have a “shower card” that had breast cancer self-check info on one side and testicular cancer self-check info on the other side. The replaced the testicular cancer info with other women’s health info several years ago.
When one of my best friends was diagnosed with it about 10 years ago I had never heard of it. When my little brother was finally diagnosed 4 years ago, after seeing multiple physicians for nearly a year for groin pain and swelling without a diagnosis for the cancer that eventually killed him, I went to the Cancer Society to get info for myself and other male friends and WOW, they had NOTHING!! When I was diagnosed with it 2 years ago further research discovered the Lance Armstrong Foundation and their many publications and shower cards picking up the slack from the better known national organizations.
When I went for my cancer follow-up earlier this week I found that the Cancer Society does now have a small page-fold pamphlet again on testicular cancer, but it pales in comparison to any of the publications from the Lance Armstrong Foundation. Perhaps those of us who have been sending back requests for donations from the Cancer Society with $0 marked and a note that we would donate to organizations that actually care about male cancers instead finally got some attention.
My point obviously is that diseases that primarily effect men, and especially white men, are not diseases that the major charities or the media, or even educators care about. While the local school district has several breast cancer awareness events, I haven’t been able to get them to even consider any testicular cancer awareness event even though the primary victims of the cancer are males 17-35 and that it is 100% curable if caught early through self-checks.
I’m not surprised that so many leftist political types are so PC. What I am surprised about is that nearly half of them are men and a great percentage of the women will become mothers of men. The do not think beyond the tip of their noses or how very personal such a disease may become if their son or husband someday is diagnosed.
The shocking, and controversial part of this whole thing is that the “diversity” of those benefiting from a fundraiser even entered into the discussion at all. To modify a fundraiser to alternate, or change charities is normal.
What the comments of the student who put forth the motion shows is that “Diversity” has fully permeated the education system and infected an entire generation.
Sorry Chap, but you totally missed the point!!
AHH!
So homosexuality transmitted diseases should be OK.
Of COURSE it’s believable.
What I know is that I have already started preparing my two white male Christian sons for life with targets on their backs.
THAT’S what I know.
You are a bad person dfern: Can I use it?
Politically Correct compassion: It is much like the school teachers taunting white students with charges of racism to “make them better people”. Cruelty in the name of compassion – A Liberal position for years.
In several of the school districts here a Spanish surname is likely to get your child place in English as a Second Language class-even if that child speaks English first. It is a Cruelty in the name of compassion thing. I guess the jerks do consider themselves good people. They are wrong about other things too.

Is NOW the time for the Second American Revolution?
I just lost one sister to CF and may lose another soon if she doesn’t get a lung transplant. They are both wives and mothers. Why does diversity have any role in the care of sick people? It is becoming harder for me as an anglo-caucasian male to see diversity as anything other than ME vs EVERYONE ELSE when I hear of things like this. I guess I should just give up on my surviving sister and let her go, then begin digging my own grave, because nothing short of that will satisfy the PC crowd.
The net result of “diversity and political correctness”, a new brand of racism.
By the way guys, one of my second cousins died of Sickle Cell Anemia. As mentioned above, that disease does not discriminate, anyone of Mediterranean descent, in her case, Lebanese, is vulnerable.
Yes, and what is even more frightening is that by the very act of excluding this charity because it isn’t diverse enough, they are showing a complete lack of understanding what diversity really means.
How about Carleton University alums redirecting the donations they’d planned to make to their alma mater to CF research.
YUP!
Excellent idea!!
Having gone to college in Canada, I have first-hand experience with Shinerama. It’s a charity drive that exists at almost all Canadian college campuses. During the orientation week of college, the freshman are taken out into the town with stickers and encouraged to raise funds for the charity by approaching people and canvassing money in exchange for stickers they can put on their clothes so that they aren’t harassed again. It is billed as an event where students will wash windows of vehicles in exchange for money, hence the name “Shinerama”, but very little work is actually done for the money. It’s mainly just canvassed in exchange for not being harassed again! (Sort of like the “I voted” stickers…)
What’s even nuttier about this whole issue is that for most these kids that participate, Shinerama is all but a mandatory event. So not only are students forced to harass people for money, they can’t even support an issue that may be near and dear to their hearts.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for volunteering and fundraising for good causes, but Shinerama is a forced volunteering which I oppose. To couple the PCness of not supporting CF, which was the point of Shinerama, completely destroys the intent.
If you’re thinking about writing to CUSA and Carleton about the Shinerama debacle, here are the email addresses of the alumni association, the president, the provost, the CUSA executive, Centretown News and The Charlatan (Carleton’s papers):

Good health to you sir and thank you for your relentless fight.
In jest, I wonder if it would take a rather nasty disease of the proboscis that affects snooty people to get them to see differently.
Yes, Hitler thought himself quite humane, but then so did DeSade.
My condolences, hrobusto… My heart goes out to you, and I’ll pray that the transplant comes through.
But you are correct abt PC. Its purpose is to balkanize the US, because we’re a nation connected not by common ethnicity, but common Ideals and a shared history (ie leaving the homeland for Freedom and a chance To Pursue Happiness).
A 2-front attack, one weakening the transmition[sp] those Ideals and our Common National Spirit with the “Tossed
CookiesSalad” paradym replacing the “Melting Pot” is the 1st prong. PC, whose purpose is to disarm those who “ring the warning bell”, branding them Hateful, demonizing them and marginalizing their warnings so no one listens to the meat of the warning.Wow… up too long, starting to rant…
You can make the same point and be factually accurate in doing so.
And I am not defending their decision, I believe I called it dumb?
Why yes. Yes I did.
Ya think?!
Save your effort, HS; attorneys, especially opposite-worldview holders, can’t help themselves.
After all, their livelihood essentially consists of words; and sadly, so bloody often, the twisted use of words to confuse, and to divorce the words (phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, etc, etc) themselves from their “spirit”, or true meaning.
White middle-aged males are the real discriminated class in our country.
You mean like twisting “changing the beneficiary” to “canceling a fundraiser”?
Idiot.
Besides this being an uncharacteristically cold thing for you to post, would you be OK with any philanthropic organization (religious) denying its funds to AIDs-/stem cell research?
Worthy charity?
Yes you are cowpepper, indeed you are. Where you an abused child? You should have been.
I had a 5th grade teacher (Mr Dalton if memory serves) tell the class that America isn’t a melting pot it’s a salad bowl. Combined we are America, but individually we are Spaniards, Germans, Chinese etc etc. I asked my Grandpa what he thought about that (he immigrated from Holland when he was 17 the day after he married his best friend who followed a year later). He told me that if we aren’t a melting pot, we won’t survive as a country.
And to think these kids will be running what’s left of our country some day.
This is just political correctness run amok. I hope Dean Barnett comes back to haunt these idiots.
This must be hoax. CF is less common in African Americans and Hispanics (by factors of 3 and 5) it’s just Asians who don’t get it (by a factor of 10). As far as gender goes Males have a slightly higher rate, but Females typically have worse effects (and because of evil California voters most affected children still have a Male and Female parent). I don’t think discrimination against Asians, Jews, or the Obese wouldn’t upset the PC police.
Yes, Chap, you did say their decision was dumb. But, the POINT was NOT that they changed the charity to another one equally worthy. The POINT WAS, they deleted that particular charity because it wasn’t diverse enough in their minds. That was the whole POINT of Michelle’s blog….the idiocy of this “diversity” thing and how it manifested itself in this particular case. Therefore, it wouldn’t have mattered if they had changed the charity to the most worthy cause in the world…the REASON for the change IS THE POINT. Sorry for the caps, but sometimes you do frustrate me.
END AFFIRMATIVE ACTION / RACIAL PREFERENCES / SOCIAL INJUSTICE THEORIES NOW.
***
One of the “unintended consequences” of Barack Obama’s election is that it finally proves that we are not a “racist” country. A majority of non-Black persons voted for him.
***
It is time to see that the Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King’s dream has finally been realized. All Americans now need to move on and put the outdated racial C**P behind them–we are all equal in God’s eyes and in our country. Start acting like it–respect all others and treat all others equally and fairly.
***
President Bush sent much needed AIDS medical help to Africa–not because the majority of the recipients are Black–but because they needed the help. A similar “color blind” approach should be used for all the other diseases that afflict us all.
John Bibb
I hope this is a hoax. But, isn’t it sad that we’ve come to a place in America where this kind of story is entirely believable.
It’s hard to parody our culture at this point.
Some days when I read or hear of these things I really feel my 64 years. We’re losing our real compassion for others for the sake of labels and PC. It’s only 0942 here, but I feel really tired.
Really? Well, if we changed the story from this:
The Carleton University Students’ Association has voted to drop a cystic fibrosis charity as the beneficiary of its annual Shinearama fundraiser, supporting a motion that argued the disease is not “inclusive” enough.
Cystic Fibrosis “has been recently revealed to only affect white people, and primarily men” said the motion read Monday night to student councillors, who voted almost unanimously in favour of it.
…to this
The Catholic League has voted to drop an AIDS charity as the beneficiary of its annual Christmas fundraiser, supporting a motion that argued the disease is not “widespread” enough.
AIDS “has been recently revealed to only affect people who engage in immoral behavior, and primarily homosexuals and IV drug users” said the motion read Monday night to student councillors, who voted almost unanimously in favour of it.
Do you honestly expect us to believe you’d greet that with a shrug of your shoulders? Or is it more likely you’d be here howling about hypocrisy and saying the church should lose its tax-exempt status?
Why does there have to be a “but”? Why can’t you simply condemn behavior that is so very worthy of condemnation?
Oh that’s right… you’re a Liberal. Forget I asked.

Go easy on him, AN.
Adolescents like him can’t help nice comments like “idiot”.
That’s all he’s got.
And, the more people like that bluster and splutter and hurl insults, the more they prove our point.
How does the saying go?
Something like, “When your opponent is in the process of destroying himself, do not interfere.”
Neither of these comments is in good taste, and serve as a black eye on the face of honest conservative discourse.
Maybe you mean sexually transmitted diseases. To my knowledge, there are no diseases that are passed exclusively by homosexual behavior.
Regarding the topic: I learned just yesterday that the president of the small town university where my son is a senior is a Christian. He has a child enrolled at the private Christian school from which both of my children graduated, and he spoke to the teachers there recently. Although this is a pretty conservative town anyway, I feel a lot better knowing that this kind of stupidity would probably not get too far under his leadership.
You do understand that I was not saying cystic fibrosis research is not worthy.
The vast majority of charities probably do not support AIDS research. I have zero issue with any organization supporting whatever charity they deem best.
I don’t think so, but I may have repressed the memory. And not sure what cowpepper means, so forgive me if I don’t get too riled up over it.
And MY point was that you can make that oint and be FACTUALLY ACCURATE. Because it is a different thing to say basically say “CF doesn’t kill enough black people? Oh well F… it then. Lets go home and play x-box instead.”
I would think its a stupid reason. I would not think it is hypocritical. As I do here.
I would think that this in no way threatens or should threaten their tax-exempt status.
I would be appreciative the story as presented was factually accurate.
deepdiver: Best of luck to you, your faimly and friends. It’s sad that while breast cancer has a whole awareness month, is highly publicized, and several businesses make products people can buy and have the money go to breast cancer research, testicular and prostate cancer go pretty much unmentioned. My uncle has prostate cancer right now.
I agree. Both comments shocked my senses (and not in a good way, say for instance if Hugh Jackman had strolled into my livingroom with his shirt unbuttoned.)

These two comments: Not OK.
My boss looks like a slightly nerdier version of Hugh.
Sorry to hear that it took her, Zorro. I’ve had a Great Aunt who passed because of Sickle cell, so I can sympathize. My Condolences, and my prayers.
Please see comment #16, where I refer to the fact that it affects a larger racial group than many people know. Although I’m certain those noodnicks wouldn’t be aware of it. I still think it would be a good move to do as I suggested, since these spoiled brats would fold like a cheap tent at the 1st sign that their standards were going to be applied to them.
Of course we’d have to reherse the precedents at every encounter, because they’re too stupid to figure it out, or remember and learn from previous examples…
Happy, pls don’t take this wrong, but this POV is why PC has been able to spread unopposed as far as it has.
We, all of us, tend to use ourselves as the yardstick by which we measure the world. We don’t hold grudges, we try to think the best of people, we do things with good intent, and if we oppose or support a national policy, it is out of Patriotism. Because we’re like this, we cut them undeserved slack, which they use to consolidate their gains.
This must stop. These people aren’t good people!
They people of European descent, hate Western Civilization, our “Racist, Old, White, Slave-owning” Founding Fathers. And they’re going to make us pay… and pay… and PAY.
And any who invoke the “ignorance argument” on their behalf miss the point. That they might be ignorant makes no difference in the outcome. That the neophyte gang member’s piece goes off accidently and kills his bud, was accidental, doesn’t make his bud less dead. That these people destroy us “for our own good” doesn’t make it any less the end of Western Civilization.
Chap…I give up. Just when I thought there was some connection with you, at least on a humorous level, you come up with such strange, almost undecipherable arguments. I’m sorry, but our minds just don’t seem to be in sync at all and I can’t figure out what you are trying to say. I tried, I really did. But your “logic” has escaped me. Maybe you should just stick to funny, witty rejoinders and leave the deep thinking to the rest of us.
once again the left proves that the ONLY distinct racial group that can be discriminated against with impunity is white men, preferably white christian men. been living with it my entire adult life from 1970 on.
That’s the classic MM crowd that I’ve come to know and expect!
I’m so sorry to hear that.
For the record, lest anyone assume I’m saying something I’m not, I think this story — if it’s true — is just dumb. I can’t imagine justifying ignoring a disease because of the race of those it afflicts. Pretty awful — and it has to be incredibly disheartening for those coping with the disease and their loved ones.
So now disease must be “diverse” as well. Got it.
I love my children dearly, and every day I fear for them more.
Happy,
I didn’t think it was that hard to follwo, and I am not trying to make an argument. I am pointing out what Michelle wrote about a charity event being canceled is simply factually incorrect.
Others may, and have tried to extrapolate some deeper meaning behind that, but that is their problem and those are their thoughts. Not mine.
I hope that clears things up for you.
Mike…Point well taken. You are absolutely right!
Lucky Duck. My boss looks like Santa Claus, but less jolly.
Please do not take 2 posts and judge the entire blog by them. Thank you.
Well, the aesthetics are kinda wasted on me.
Chap…Michelle didn’t say the event was cancelled…she said they dropped the CF portion of it. No one is saying they cancelled the entire fundraiser. Where did you get that? If someone said that, they said it in error. You know what Michelle wrote…you read it, didn’t you?
Opps! Sorry! @#&@$# 1-line PDA edit field!
Self edit:
They people of European descent,…
=
They hate people of European descent, hate Western Civilization, and our Racist, Old, White, Slave-owning Founding Fathers. …
And who is that moron on foxnews that says it is the Republicans who are polarizing?
I dunno. It could be any number of people. Bob Beckel. Ellis Hennigan (sp). Geraldine Ferraro. Alan Colmes. By the way, goodbye and good riddance to Alan Colmes. DLTDHYITAOTWO!
Back soon…off to get my hair done and a manicure! I have a tough life.
Dean Barnett, blogger and Hugh Hewitt guest host of the ridiculous Boston accent, was a Jewish American, and just last month lost his 41 year battle with CF.
Anyway, a sick child is a sick child, and it takes a different kind of sickness to miss that.
BTW, it takes twisted minds, rotted by PC, to cancel fundraising for a fatal disease because not enough minorities get it, but I do also wonder about people who make sickle cell jokes as well.
Fixed it for ya.
hrobusto, I’m sorry for your loss and wish the best for your sister.
Mister P, I don’t know if that was a “/sarc” and if it was directed at me or what, but on the chance that it was both, let me clarify.
We always hear that Conservatives are too partisan, that we don’t act in a bi-partisan fashion. This has been shown to mean that we don’t abandon our values and take on theirs. They use this because unlike them, we really do believe in fairness.
Now, I hear the same sort of charges, but the new word is “polarizing”. Ok. If being uncompromisingly supportive of a culture that has proved itself in the only lab that count, the real world, is polarizing — then sobeit.
These guys constantly change the goalpost, and they do the same for their cudgels. I’m not letting them get away with it anymore.
I think what certain commenters are missing is that people are not upset that they decided to collect for a different charity, but rather why they decided to collect for a different charity.
It is the left that gave us “thought crimes” and “hate crimes” so they should not be upset when hoisted by their own petard.
It is good to be reminded once in a while that some things really aren’t funny. Sometimes I find myself laughing at a clever comment just because it is clever, forgetting that it also is not very nice. I have a feeling those who made the Sickle cell jokes are feeling sorry that they did so! Let’s be forgiving for the lapse in judgement and good taste.
Living in Ottawa I know a lot of current and former Carelton students and I have yet to meet one that ever agrees with any decisions made by the CUSA. I have no idea how these people get elected.
They have a long history of making all kinds of radical decisions based purely on PC hype. It wasn’t that long ago that they banned any organization that did not fit their pro-abortion rights agenda from receiving any funding or meeting space.
Most of the grads I know have refused to give any donations to the Alumni associations simply because of the CUSA’s actions.
Obviously people are going to support charities they feel strongly about, and that is fine. Personally, I support mainly children and military charities. However, I do not go looking for specific chartities which benefit certain skin colors. They could have justified the decision by saying that they believe ___ (insert charity) is in more need of our support because of the large number of people that it affects or based upon how painful or debilitating it is. They very blatantly said that the victims of CF are the wrong gender and the wrong skin color. That is racist/sexist.
Everyone suffers when the PC crowd feels the need (and they often do) to somehow punish white men.
To the idiots at Carleton:
For the record:
I am a middle-aged white man.
I have never owned a slave.
I have never engaged in genocide.
I have never profited from war.
I have never targeted “minority” communities with ads for malt liquor.
I have never limited my charitable giving to “white only” organizations.
If you think I must be punished, you’re more than welcome to try. Pack a lunch and bring friends. Otherwise, do a modicum of research before publicly displaying your ignorance.
ECS
It bothers me when those in academia or on the left/progressives feel that something is worthy of their attention because it isn’t diverse enough…should we stop funding for other “racially insensitive” diseases? There are organizations that are putting that money to good use in finding treatments for preventions and trying to cure them. I remember in the 80’s that someone who had CF was usually not expected to live past their 20’s…now, as seen with the recent death of Dean Barnett, he was in his 40’s. In the 80’s AIDS was a death sentence (you usually lived for just a couple of years). And think about the research into other diseases and illnesses..the drugs used to decrease the damage done by a stroke or heart attack…Hell, I have to thank medical research for the allograph used in reconstructing my ACL 18 months ago…
PC think needs to go…instead, why not use the Golden Rule. Oh, I’m sorry that may upset the PC set because it’s religious in nature…
That would be fine if you are not the one afflicted…
Excluding people in the name of “inclusiveness”…. Brilliant!!!
/end sarcasm
What else is new.
No, it was not a “dumb” decision. It was a hateful decision, driven by junk science and political “correctness.”
Which happen to be the two main drivers behind left-Democrat policy.
So, by these students thinking CF is a racist disease? PC run amok.
I mean, really, how screwed up in the head do you have to be to even think it’s wrong to try and cure a disease because, supposedly, it disproportionately affects white males?
No I was thinking of one of the so-called “Beltway Boys” and panelists on Brit Hume. I forget his name, but he was blasting the Republicans for choosing Palin and polarizing the campaign.
Wow, I rarely, rarely find myself agreeing with Michelle Malkin, but I’m with her 100% on this one.
Am so not surprised this happened in Canada, land of Human Rights Commissars.
In response to the worldwide outrage over this, the student council released a statement reversing the decision here.
But they still don’t get it. They claim everything is all blown out of proportion, and don’t think there was anything racist about their decision at all.
CUSA President Brittany Smyth should quit.
The excerpt below from the National Post article referenced in Michelle’s overview (above via “Transcends”…)
“The reasoning behind this is totally ridiculous. Eventually cystic fibrosis is a fatal disease. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone,” said Marie Lunney, a Carleton graduate who has worked as a foundation volunteer. “If I had a choice between donating to CF or Carleton, I’d donate to CF.”
Ouch, that had to have hurt. You go girl!
I’m glad there are some students and former students still thinking there at Carleton.
The Vast Left-Wing Conspiracy at work again.
To them, the imperialist white man is the root of all evil.
So basically, what they’re saying is they hope more minorities get cystic fibrosis so they can feel good about funding research and treatment of it?
Wow.
See, liberals. You scratch your heads and wonder why conservatives vehemently oppose this PC crap. IT’S BECAUSE IT’S OUT OF CONTROL.
Wow.
You can’t make this stuff up!
And my family thinks I am hallucinating when I tell them simuliar stories at the University of Memphis of political correctness run amok.
OT-I got the word from Judaism studies prof today that Jeremiah Wright is coming here next semester. I’ll follow up once I get more info about it and send it to MM. (Heaven help us!)
