Juan Hernandez is bummed

By Michelle Malkin  •  December 1, 2008 03:30 PM

Left behind.

Barack Obama has appointed senior VP of The National Council of La Raza (The Race) Cecilia Munoz to “oversee the White House office responsible for relations between the administration and state and local governments.”

Via WaPo:

Munoz, meanwhile, will oversee the White House office responsible for relations between the administration and state and local governments. The 2000 MacArthur Foundation “genius grant” winner is a senior vice president at the National Council of La Raza, a leading Hispanic civil rights group. There, she has spearheaded many of the organization’s immigration initiatives. Currently, she is in charge of the group’s entire advocacy and legislative agenda.

“We’re continuing to build a White House team that can rise to the challenges facing this country — and I couldn’t be more excited to announce Jon and Cecilia,” Obama said. “I’m confident that at a critical time in our history, this White House will restore openness and accountability to our executive branch and help to put government back in the hands of the people it serves.”

McCain open-borders advisor Juan Hernandez is bummed, but you never know. If Hillary can be Obama’s Secretary of State, why can’t Juan serve as Obama’s ICE chief?

Hope lives.

The fact he would appoint a high ranking member of la raza to any job in his administration says it all. If he doesn’t get amnesty passed, he will have this racist scum jawbone, extort, and threaten state and local munis to fall in line and becomce a sanctuary city open to illegals (pretty much SOP for la raza anyway). Race/ethnicity trumps the good of the country.

    Fixed it.
Seriously, you can’t appoint a person to this post when they have a worldview that narrowly considers and elevates the interests of only one people group over the others, so blatantly as does La Raza.
    Stupid.

It was McCain who buddied up to Hernandez, I think. It’s not so strange that Obama would pass over a person who advised his opponent in the general election. Hernandez should have been savvy enough to anticipate this, but of course I’m glad he’s not given a position of influence at the executive branch level.

Also, if you bother to view the vid Michelle includes above in this thread, you’ll see those very powerful words of Teddy Roosevelt (re: sole loyalty/dual citizenship) poised against a background of an Aaron Copland symphonic piece… It’s powerful stuff, gives me goose bumps.

No worries Oklahoma, once Dear Leader’s and congressional programs go into hyperdrive, there won’t be any federal funds to threaten to cut.

However, Dear Leader could send his thugs, ahem, Civilian Security Force to encourge repeal.

We wouldn’t have needed to pass 1805 if the Feds would do their job. Cut our funds, go ahead. Then we can close the oil pipelines. (No, I’m not suggesting armed insurrection or sabotage.) As far as the proposed CSF goes, we still have the Oklahoma Self-Defense Act (Concealed Handgun License). We don’t intimidate worth a damn.

So much for unity. This just really makes me sad for the country. If anyone with an ounce of brains would realize the racism of this group, they would realize they are wrong.

When will the blacks in this country wake up to the fact that they are being pitted against the Hispanics for a political party to maintain power?

    Would either group care?

Would anyone care about the unity of the country anymore? It seems not.

First we got a promise from Sen. Harry Reid on Nov. 9, 2006 to bring “bipartisanship”, “open government”, and “transparency” to the Senate. Then, a week later, Nancy Pelosi chimed in and promised “to make this the most honest, ethical, and open Congress in history.” And now President-elect Barack Obama has promised to “restore openness and accountability to our executive branch.” No worries, mate! You can sleep peacefully now.

Remember the story of the woman who picked up a frozen half dead snake? She felt sorry for it so she put it in her coat to take it home and warm by her fire. When the snake thawed inside her coat it bit her. As she lay dying, she asked - “why did you do that? I’m trying to save your life.” The snake replied - “you knew what I was when you picked me up. It’s my nature.”
The same is true for Obama and his supporters.
