Preparing for the next amnesty battle

Bay Buchanan at Team America PAC sends a memo on the upcoming illegal alien amnesty battle. You know it’s coming. You knew it would come whether Barack Obama or John McCain took office. It was only a question of how fast it would get on the table. The question now is whether you are prepared to stave it off again.
Bay writes:
Guess who is to blame for the Republican routs in 2008? According to the establishment, YOU ARE! Since the election, the pointy heads have been parroting the line that “nativists” in the GOP cost the party the Hispanic vote and the election.
The Wall Street Journal–whose editorial page promotes a constitutional Amendment entitled “There Shall Be Open Borders”-had an editorial yesterday called “immigration losers” where they gloated that five members of Tom’s Immigration Reform Caucus lost as proof that immigration fails. They didn’t bother to mention that the 22 Republican seats went down with the GOP ship.
I’d like to ignore these mutterings, but we can’t. These guys have an agenda. They want the party leadership to believe what the media keeps saying-that the only way to electoral victory is through amnesty. It doesn’t matter that it is total nonsense-all they care about is getting amnesty passed and our borders open even wider!
We stopped amnesty in 2006 and 2007, because we convinced enough politicians that if they listened to their lobbyists and not their constituents, they’d be out of a job. To do it again we must expose the lies of the open border crowd.
The Facts: Yes, some anti-amnesty Republicans lost, but so did pro-amnesty politicians, not least of them being John McCain. The truth is Tancredo style Republicans did better than the average Republicans. Members of Tom’s immigration reform caucus make up 51% of House Republicans, but only 39% of losing incumbents.
Our two top candidates this election cycle were Lou Barletta of PA and Wayne Parker of Alabama. In both races the Democrats ran as if they were as tough as our guys on immigration!! Both were flat out lying but if the Tancredo stand on immigration is so politically damaging, I’d like to ask my friends at the Wall Street Journal, why are the Democrats wrapping themselves in it to win?
The constant droning about the Hispanic vote is insulting to Hispanics and to all Americans. Our democracy is one person, one vote; not one ethnic group, one vote. I value the vote of a Hispanic just as much as a vote of White, Black or Asian American. But that’s not what it’s about. It is supposed to be about what’s best for America, not best for our party.
It’s back to the old battle lines. And we can win again-we stopped the President, party leaders, Corporate America and the powerful ethnic lobbyists from passing amnesty and we whooped them in the states!! Now we have to re-up and re-arm because they are coming at us again.
The new Congress takes office January 6, E-Verify is set to expire in March, and the push for an Obama-Reid amnesty could come by then. This week I am contacting the other immigration leaders in town and asking them to join me at a meeting to begin pulling together the great coalition we had to defeat amnesty in the past. But your help is needed if we are to succeed.
We will need you to get on the phones, to write letters, e-mail, and fax Congress-and to recruit friends to do the same. Republicans need to be informed that they will never get out of the wilderness unless they become bold and tough on immigration. And as for the Democrats they need to see and feel the anger that talk of amnesty generates among Americans-only then they will back away. They want a smooth couple years until the off year elections and will not risk a popular uprising in the early days of the Administration.
Our job-let them know this is just what they’re going to get if amnesty is on the table.

Saddle Up, folks!
We’ve got to go in again.
Michelle,
Yes we did stop the first amnesty thing by you and numerous other sites and talk radio. People called, wrote, faxed, and e-mailed to get it stopped. We did the same thing with the bailout of the banks and now the auto. The over whelming view of Americans WE don’t want the bailout. Our dc bunch did the banks and now are about to do the auto. I am wondering if our voices are or will ever again be heard from the elected on what the majority of Americans want? I feel sometimes like digging a hole and crawing in, but I am American and will not submit. I will keep fighting for my country and what I believe in.
L
If the Dems and Rinos are successful in giving Amnesty to the 20-30 million illegals that are here: You can kiss goodbye the chances of there ever being a Republican majority ever again. The Hispanic vote went 70-30 to Obama….and that was against a pro-amnesty Republican.
Give these illegals citizenship and thus the right to vote, and see how quickly states like Arizona, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas and others turn from Red to Blue.
I wonder if the open borders advocates are prepared to accept this onto the streets of America.
More than the GOP is at stake. Our Republic is already begining to founder and this will be the death blow.
Perhaps a bit too, but I’m rather pessimistic about the amnesty battle now. After Congress voted no on the bailout, then decided “what does the American voter know anyone?” and voted again, and would presumably continue to re-vote until it passed… is it not terribly possible that all future amnesty bills will even be forced through? Once the initial “NAY” votes are tallied, those congressmen/women will be harrassed into “reconsidering” their vote… and with all the spineless eunuchs therein…
…you get where I’m going with this :/
And thus, the justification for martial law, Dear Leaders’s Civilian Constabulary Force, if not the use of the military within our borders, and on to a police state.
Parts of our innercities are already 3rd world. LA streets are clogged with junk chevy pickups and late model toyota corollas.
Never a Republic again? Dude, its already that way in east LA. It’ll only get worse when we grant amnesty to 20 million and accept their 19+ relatives crammed into 2 bedroom apartments.
Gird.Your.Loins.
To do it again we must expose the lies of the open border crowd.
And we won’t have Tancredo in office for the ‘free’ pub.
We need to be creative and strong in contacting whoever it takes.
We can’t lose on this one.
…and another 10 in the garage.
DO YOU HEAR US SAXBY CHAMBLISS ?!?!
Georgians kept your political tail safe and warm, now you need to listen to the people who put you there.
Come on, NORM!!!
All the illegals can meet up with the angry prop 8 mob in May and have a Cinco De Gayo March.
I’m in, of course.
I can’t say I am not nervous as heck about this but I’ll give all I’ve got, capt’n.
A couple of related points on this theme…
1. Roy Beck of NumbersUSA has written about the organizing and posturing for the upcoming amnesty try. Read a recent blog entry about it here:
Roy Beck’s Latest Blog on the Subject
2. Don’t forget Sen. Sessions stalwart efforts to help stave off recent amnesty attempts – here’s a video which shows that although the forces lined up in support are numerous, and often deep-pocketed, the majority of Americans don’t want another amnesty and aren’t afraid to let their Congress Critters know that.
Check out the Sessions floor speech referencing the phone system failure in the senate amnesty battle in summer of 2007 here
3. One final point: Not only are opponents justifiable in not supporting another amnesty on philosophical grounds, many others are opposed simply because it was – and remains – bad policy. In the largest and most widely-known amnesty for IAs in 1986, it was presumed that only 1 million people would apply (and receive) official legal amnesty. A few years later, studies were done to gauge the ACTUAL number of persons granted amnesty. It was shown that up to 3-4 million IAs [many, illegally] benefited from the amnesty (fraud and abuse was found to have been rampant). Since the amnesty of 1986, there have been as many as 5 additional (although, smaller scale) amnesties granted by the Federal government. Enough is enough. We still have a massive illegal alien problem and it is well past time to have some real enforcement for a change.
Stop another amnesty?
YES.WE.CAN!
1. This would certainly explain the 50% increase in firearm sales over the past few months.
2. We have no one to blame besides those advocating for such policies and the weak-kneed “conservatives” who were too afraid to vote their conscience instead of for any fool who had an “R” after his/her name.
3. Personally, I’m waiting for the homeschooling fight. I look forward to when they try to drag my kids away or put me in jail for not sending my kids to public schools. Consider this: homeschooling has only been legal in all 50 states since 1993.
“When an opponent declares, ‘I will not come over to your side,’ I say calmly, ‘Your child belongs to us already…What are you? You will pass on. Your descendants, however, now stand in the new camp. In a short time they will know nothing but this new community’.” ~A.H.
It will pass. We are just along for the ride to at least 2010.
President Palin is going to have a heckuva mess to clean up when she takes office in Jan 2013. Hopefully, the 2010 mid-term election will mitigate some of the damage.
I like the way you think Dexter.
What we need is some good old fashion outrage.
Any ideas?
A few things to remember:
1. The majority of American citizens want law enforcement, not “amnesty”/rewards. Read the numbers here.
2. The result of having a 12 to 30 million member invisible serf labor society: a very effective hiding place for drug criminals. Do you see a pattern in every region of this DEA most wanted map?
Of course, if Americans could be weaned from illegal drugs…..
When are we going to start hearing from the MSM that there are 10 million+ jobs being held by illegal aliens that could be filled by needy, unemployed Americans or legal immigrants? I’d love to hear the outcry of now of any politician that dared repeat the line that they are jobs that Americans won’t do. There are plenty of unemployed construction workers around here, among others, that would gladly fill these jobs and their numbers are going up daily. I keep telling myself point at some point the anger is going to bubble over and there will be an outcry that even the Dems can’t ignore, yet the problem worsens daily. Just what will it take?
You won’t, because they’re in bed with the big business and other pro-illegal immigration forces that believe the place for Hispanics in the U.S. is as indentured servants. They love their cheap, docile labor that has no rights and won’t speak up. They have them exactly where they want them to be.
Besides, they don’t want needy Americans to get jobs, they want them to need government help so they can justify all the big, socialist programs they favor.
I don’t know. Maybe we should copy the gays. They seem to have “outrage” down pretty good. Of course, we would just look “intolerant”.
Any talk of amnesty during our current economic crisis is shear foolishness. Yeah, let a bunch of illegals get amnesty and they will be in line for a bailout. I’m hearing about some legal immigrants who are packing up and going home because of job losses. All the jobs which were created using the immigrant population can’t be sustained now. Bad economic times will do more to change the immigration discussion than congress ever will.
We became a great nation by avoiding corruption and enforcing our laws equally for all of our citizens. If we continue to allow illegal immigration, we will watch our country devolve into the same kind anarchy, corruption, poverty and disease, that many illegals were fleeing, when they set off for the US in the first place. We must strictly enforce our immigration laws for the benefit of the U.S. as well as for the benefit of the immigrants themselves.
Illegal Immigration is Harmful on Many Levels
Losing is not an option. I am pessimistic but ready to fight twice as hard.
Some of the same can be said for legal immigration when considering the origin of the immigrants. With diversity of immigrants comes varied experiences in forms of government corruption.
Some of those who’ve come from nations whose governments are chronically corrupt may believe its the nature of all government everywhere to be corrupt. Some fall victim to corruption in our own local, state and federal government, some taking part in it themselves, many may not understanding what they can do to reform it, or just accepting it as a trade-off for living here.
If only the Americans killed by illegals could come back to life the way the amnesty plan does.
Blue dog Democrats usually vow to fight this.
All the usual players will be up to their old tricks trying to slip this in everywhere and anywhere they can.
Any RINO that votes to enable illegal immigration should not be re-elected.
We need to make sure we have conservatives ready to challenge the seats of those that participate in these amnesty efforts!
Is it any wonder that people have lost faith in their lawmakers who constantly
ignore the people for their own reasons?
Free idea *
If there were a web site listing a few seriously unforgivable positions one could not dare take, and still expect to be taken seriously as a Republican candidate.
I bet that site would become a hit and voters as well as politicians would refer to it often.
It could be called~
Youleftus.org
A pro Illegal Amnesty position would be on top of the list!
FIGHT the amnesty as if your country and life depends on it……
Because it does.
*Any lawmaker that supports amnesty in any shape, form, or fashion, is an advocate for illegal immigration; To put it simply, if you give a stray cat some milk out on your front porch, a week later you will have 10 stray cats.
*The lawmakers will better serve us by making E-Verify mandatory for all employers across the country; That will wash out the vast majority of illegal aliens now working, allowing the jobs to be backfilled by the millions of citizens currently unemployed and the millions more joining them when Obamanomics kicks in; End result is full employment and we may actually get our country back.
We only half won the last fight. The Democrats picked up seat in both houses and really could care less-a good majority of them are in safe districts.
Amnesty pushed me into the Bush Derangement Syndrome-that and John Sutton’s persecution of Ramos and Compean.
I am dreading an Obama 21th Century Emancipation Proclamation for criminal aliens-with Reid and Pelosi fast tracking citizenship and picking up millions more votes to insulate the Left.
Without Duncan Hunter and Tom Tancredo in the House, Juan Hernandez McCain still in the Senate I do worry. Treason abounds in the land. I do believe the Democrats love treason more than they fear us.
Remember under McCain-Kennedy even the gang bangers got Amnesty- If they promised to stop being gang bangers. If you can’t trust a gang banger who can you trust?

Is NOW the time for the Second American Revolution?
Considering the fact 2/3 of the Hispanics in the US are illegal, they CAN’T vote (theoretically), so pandering to these people is ridiculous. People that want to legalize illegals should be forced to house and feed them, thus giving them an idea of their true cost. Saying the Hispanic vote cost the GOP the election is nuts. An idiotic electorate did that, thanks to the teacher’s unions.
No no the open border gang, whats the best way to get them acting their best again?
I think those mentioning the economy are on to the best tactic. Economic concerns were what gave Obama enough votes to win. So, we need to run with it. If the economy was bad enough to carry Obama to the presidency, then it is bad enough we don’t need millions of more workers.
For starters, we need a word or phrase. If “outsourcing” is when an American job moves overseas for cheaper labor, what should we call it when an American job stays here, but goes to a lower-paid illegal immigrant? Outlaw-sourcing?
We need a term, and we need to start using it over and over.
Sorry Michelle, the amnesty train has left the station and there’s nothing we can do to stop it. Between the Demotards and RINO Republitards in the House and Senate you’d better prepare yourself to welcome the 25,000,000 to 38,000,000 wet-backs here now as your fellow American citizens. Believe me, every last one of them will be registered to vote by November of 2012.
I hate to admit this, but we are SO screwed. My wife is from Mexico, we met in Mexico, dated for 2 years, fell for one another, and the I.N.S. put us through the ringer to get her here LEGALLY. I would have saved a year and a half and a TON of of money by getting her here illegally and paying the fines…. I will still do what I can to stop shamnesty, but it looks pretty bad folks.
18 years USAF and love my country – God Bless.
DID YOU KNOW
1. 40% of all workers in L.A. County ( L.A. County has 10.2 million people)

(All the above from the Los Angeles Times)

Another amnesty push?? BRING IT ON!! The reality is that the RINO;s are afraid of us–why do you think the subject was not a “campaign” issue. It was NOT because Mcbama were on the same page it was because who ever talked about it knew they would LOSE.
This is not a white-racist-xenophobe issue–it is an AMERICAN issue and the LEGAL hispanics, chinese, El Salvadorans, French, German, Canadians , etc., expect everyone who comes to this country to obey the same laws they did. How do you think the anti-illegal propositions won on the ballots?? Just the “xenophobes”?? Check the percentages 70% plus on most anti-illegal issues. The American public-including legal immigrants-are NOT stupid and will respond twice what they did on the last amnesty.
Next time it will be Americans marching in the streets in the thousands–if the Constitution still means anything to them. Everyone I talk to is spitting mad about the bailouts and still communicating with their Senators and REps over it. The economy cannot support the illegals any longer especially now that the public is aware of their impact on the Fan/Fred debacle.
The threat of unemployment going up sure is NOT going to make anyone sympathetic to the illegals “plight” in their own countries. Time for the illegals to read the writing on the wall and go home while it is on their terms and NOT on ours.
Stopping amnesty will be my full time job–I only spent 2-3hrs a day before–and I am NOT alone. I will NOT go quietly over this fight. What about you? Any guts? Going to roll over and play dead?? Sorry NOT going to let you–you WILL join me. You will write letters, faxes, make phone calls and stand in front of your politicians office ’cause I’m going to pester you until you do…….no excuses, no AMNESTY, Secure the Border, enforce employer sanctions, support the Border Patrol and ICE.
The democrats want amnesty. With that, they get people who will qualify soon to be citizens and vote. And how will they vote? For the democrats, of course. The heck with the damage it will cause the country.
the illegal alien amnesty push will get a lot harder for joe sixpack to swallow as more and more american companies fold and more americans are out of work. can you imagine this congress not giving money to bailout automakers and then trying to pass amnesty for 12 million illegals while over 10 million americans are officially unemployed. have you seen those cajones from our government in the past 30 years? i haven’t.
They don’t need cajones just smoke and mirrors while sneaking behind closed doors.
sign up for any and all web sites that will fight the next shamnesty attempt….we must counter any attempt to turn our country into a 3rd world cesspool and trash our culture and Constitution!!!
Worse than that will be the upcoming BO pardons – first for cop killer “Mumia” Abu Jamal – translation = convicted cop killer and racist. Mumia, who execution style murdered a white policeman has become a “journalist.”. He will only be the tip of the spear of BO pardons, all of which will be praised by MSM. Chris Mathews may have another homoerotic experience and come out of the closet. Buy some guns cuz there’s gonna be violence from these folks directed at us and our families.
