Another Mormon run over by the anti-Prop. 8 mob’s bus

By Michelle Malkin  •  December 8, 2008 06:26 PM

You remember Marjorie Christoffersen.

My friend Diana West first alerted me to her plight in the aftermath of Prop. 8’s passage. Christoffersen is the Mormon restaurant manager of the El Coyote restaurant in Los Angeles who committed the sin of donating $100 to the traditional ballot measure. Her individual donation spurred an angry mob of gay activists to picket the cafe, threaten employees and patrons, and bully the business into contributing a payment to make the mob stop.

Now, in the wake of resignations by LA Film Festival director Richard Raddon and California Musical Theater director Scott Eckern, Christoffersen has joined these other Mormon voters in quitting her job over her support of Prop. 8.

Gay groups are doing a happy dance.

Pat yourselves on the back, tolerance bullies.

The more people cave in to their bullying tactics, the more of these tactics we’ll see. What I really want to see is someone who stands up to them forcefully, but I’m pretty sure I won’t because even if someone does, there will be no reports of it as such. If it’s reported at all, it will be evil Prop. 8 supporters victimizing the poor innocent gay activists.

In this case it’s a situation of using their own weapon (the “hate crime” charge) against them. Poetic justice.

Actually, I don’t think that it’s necessary in this case, or these cases, as there is enough evidence of extortion, vandalism, and harassment to win convictions.

    Ah, yes. He’s BAAAAACCCCKKK.

And what did he talk about on the anniversary of Pearl Harbor? Our dropping the bomb on Hiroshima & Nagasaki and the number of Japanese civilians who were killed. Wasn’t there something else that happened on Dec. 7 before that, an attack on US, or something?

But, no, the bomb was an unprovoked attack, and had nothing to do with ending that war.

    Clueless.

As to the Prop 8 issue, can’t gay couples already have civil unions – in other words, all the legal rights and protections of a married hetero couple? What they did to that woman is nothing less than extortion. Can you say RICO?

I do not hate them as people. No Christian should. But that doesn’t mean we condone what we believe to be wrong. Love the sinner, hate the sin.

frostrt: A few years ago as I arrived for work at the Pentagon on the morning of 7 Dec, there was the ususal unwashed idiots who show up on that date at the top of the Metro escalator. Among them was one holding his end of a banner that said “No more Hiroshimas!”

I stepped over to him and said, “You first, no more Pearl Harbors!” Needless to say, looking into his eyes, I could see all the lights were on, the TV was playing, but nobody was home!

Wow, pathetic. I would bet money that this lug really didn’t know about Pearl Harbor, but had been told about our own “atrocities” against the Japanese time and time again.

I’m sure the great actor/veteran, Charles Durning, would love to enlighten him.

Oops, my bad; if they show up on that date, they obviously know what anniversary it is. They must have decided that it was our fault somehow because, from their point of view, it always is.

I would call it a “senior moment”, but I’m too young for those! :)

And they are getting away with this how and why???

I would like to see someone try to bully me out of a job.

See…they have laws that protect people from such things. Exactly why is it that no one is using these laws to protect themselves from these Obama supporting Brownshirts?

Naw…he obviously has already been “enlightened” by those other Hollywood actors, Martin Sheen, Charlie Sheen, Woody Harrelson, Rosie O’Donnell…
