Mem’ries: Babs and Bush kiss

By Michelle Malkin  •  December 8, 2008 01:47 PM

Guess she took some medication for her chronic Bush Derangement Syndrome.

Hope the president had a strong sanitizer. I need eye bleach:

Indeed. “Gentlemanly” doesn’t begin to describe taking the kind of s*&t he’s taken and keeping his own dignity.

I wish him the best, and hope history will be kinder to his Presidency.

Maybe she, unlike some haters, is able to “let go” now that his Presidency is almost over. At any rate, it’s nice to see her being civil to him, at least for this occasion.

Oh my gosh, I saw that on TV! What was he thinking? I don’t believe for one minute that Babs was being civil. She probably couldn’t “deck” him without getting arrested, so she put up with the “kiss”. The way she trashed him and said disgusting and completely disrespectful things about our sitting President…she deserved to be snubbed. Yes, he is a “class act”. But there are limits to “class”. Being classy does not mean being a fool…and this moment made him look like a fool in my eyes. What was she doing in the same room with him in the first place?

Now that you mentioned it, Babs could have snubbed the award show on the grounds that the eeeevvviiilll BOOOOSSSHHH would be honoring her. That would be perfectly acceptable to the MSM. On the other hand, if she had been snubbed from it this year because of her Bush-bashing . . .

    Babs being gracious?!?!?! HARDLY!

President Bush was being gracious, she was merely being temporarily civil at best. Bush is the one who made the gracious gesture, not Babs. The most gracious thing Babs has done was to say, “well, I spose I can stop being a bitch long enough to accept the award, but I would much rather have gotten the award from Obama or Clinton.” In other words, publicly praising her “brilliance” and stroking her ego is the only thing in the world that she thinks is important enough to get her to hold her venemous tongue for a few milliseconds.

I have more respect for her fellow lunatics at Code Pink — at least they have the courage of their convictions.

President Bush is the only one being gracious here. She’s a vile lying bitch who has smeared him (and Ron and Nancy Reagan) at every opportunity for his entire 8 years in office, she has called him a liar and a theif, and he shows nothing but class, grace, and humility in return.

Bush has suffered much for his country. I miss him already.

Ever since that flower pot incident, Babs has never been “quite right” in her head. Over the years, I’ve shaken hands and “pecked” the cheek with people I don’t like…in the interest of peace at the moment. As one gets older, one learns that peace is preferable to conflict. My ex-wife and I are good friends today, because of the peace we wanted. Her ex-husband (after me) who hated my guts, is friendly with me now. I prefer peace. Priorities change and what was important in the past, isn’t important today. We stop being emotion-driven as much as we were in our younger days. The aches/pains come and I just had surgery last month. We learn that we are mortal and time isn’t infinite anymore. Perhaps Babs and Bush are the same way, though I think politics of the moment dictated the action. As Bush, I would be friendly with her, though I wouldn’t trust her “out of sight”. Heck, I would give Pelosi a “peck on the cheek” if the politics of the moment demanded it, though I would prefer a double single malt Scotch straight up first.
