Reuters doesn’t like conservative snarking over Blago’s bust

Looks like the Obama water-carriers in the MSM aren’t happy with the fallout over Blagobama-rama. Here’s the headline on an article just released by Reuters this afternoon:

The piece mentions Blago reaction from the RNC, Washington Times, Rush Limbaugh, Neal Boortz, and yours truly.
Maybe I missed it, but I don’t seem to remember the finger-wagging Reuters articles headlined “US liberals gleeful over [Abramoff/DeLay/Stevens/Foley/etc.].”
Do you?

I’m happy anytime that corruption is exposed, regardless if it’s a (D) or an (R). Throw them all in prison!!!
I know I’m gleeful!
Arent’ you?!?
I am gleeful. I hope it doesn’t stop here.
What – no photos of Rage Boy?
Indeed, madchef. This here is what you call “draining the swamp”. I’m all for it, be there an “R” or a “D” by the politician’s name.
On MM’s link to Newsbusters.
See will this get recognized as Lying to America like good ole Bill?
Not liking it does not make it not a good bust. Suck lemons, Reuters.
Mrs. Blago in the background: “…up that f’ing Right-Wing Gleeful Blog sh&^. . . f&^% them.”
Headline:
“Reuters not capable of real journalism – wants Americans to pretend it’s news is not biased liberal propaganda. Threatens to run home crying to mommy”
I am gleeful also. I hope they get more for me to be even more gleeful. Thanks Michelle, you are in good company.
L
I enjoy people receiving appropriate punishment no matter what. However, I do admit to being particularly gleeful about Blagojevich getting his. Not because he’s a Dem but because he’s a corrupt jerk who has been running amok in Illinois. It’s about time.
Plus, based on the people I know in Illinois, many from both sides are glad he is finally in trouble for his actions. There is a reason he has the lowest approval rating of any governor in the nation!
Schadenfreude for me, but not for thee, I guess.
Ditto to forstrt and madchef. Get rid of all the criminals regardless of party.
You missed the “gleeful” description because it was both absent and insufficient…the correct words would include “exhultant”, “celebratory”, “incessant”, “smug” and “patronizing” to characterize the liberal media coverage of [Abramoff/DeLay/Stevens/Foley/etc.]
“Liberals saddened that Fitzmas occurred on Democrat Blagojevich, not I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby.”
It’s always great to have corruption exposed! What’s that saying? Sunshine is the best disinfectant. Unfortunately, in many places (Chicago, NJ, Louisiana) it never quite works as well as in other places. Sheeple keep electing the same corrupt politicians.
I love it when corruption is discovered and erradicated despite the best efforts of the MSM water carriers when it’s their party involved.
The hypocrisy of calling the Republicans the “Culture of Corruption” is laid bare too.
Who wouldn’t be “gleeful”.
Indeed.
The only “glee” here is that (D)’s seem to be given a pass on these busts 99% of the time (Freezer-Jefferson)…so ya, there is a little glee. Sue me.
Yes, there is bipartisanship in Illinois in that we all want to see him go.
Some of us just had a little bit more precognition on what a jerk this guy is.
Conservative Hawk:
I believe I heard a reporter say 4%.
Un-be-frikin-lievable.
Looks like the good people of IL had him figured out. Glad the Feds do now, as well.
Headlilne:
‘Reuters realizes it is no longer relevant as a news group – articles now resemble teenage MySpace ramblings’
Damn straight we’re gleeful . . . and the problem is?
Don’t tell me I’m gleeful.
Gleeful is SO gay.
My collie says:
PS – a belated Happy Birthday to Feebz!
IIRC, wasn’t Reuters the same “news agency” that refused to call terrorists “terrorists”?
Nothing new here, although I will admit I am gleeful!!
CyberCipher:
“Dawn him now his prison junpsuit, fa la la, la la la, la la la . . . “
Would they rather we cry over the Governor’s arrest?
Okay then.
!!BOO-FREAKIN’-HOO!!
Hey, thanks frostrt!
Yes, we’re gleeful! We’re getting rid of a corrupt politician! That should make any american happy, conservative or liberal.
I was happy when “Client Number 9″ (Nudge, nudge. Wink, wink!) had to leave and I was happy that Duke Cunningham and Ted Stevens got caught.
Reuters Rooter. Flush them down.
I’m not gleeful, but I appreciate seeing bad guys get what they deserve.
Love the updated Reuter’s headlines, ThatSamIAm. Comment #20 made me laugh out loud. Keep ‘em coming.
I’m not gleeful, but I appreciate seeing bad guys get what they deserve.
Gleeful? Why yes! We need to expose all the corruption at all levels. No one forced dear Rod to behave this way. The right of entitlement in IL is beyond believable and it exists in all corners of Chicago society. The media is supposed to expose this kind of behavior and not to scold the public for being gleeful when the truth is exposed.
No problem, Feebz. Guess the Blogo Bust is an extra B-day treat for you!
I am salivating at the other hundred shoes yet to drop.
I didn’t notice any major republican hand-rubbing and insane giggling over Blago’s arrest. However, I did notice how carefully the MSM avoided the word “democrat” in their initial reporting. If he were a republican, the word “republican” would have appeared at the beginning and end of every sentence, with liberal sprinkling inbetween. What a bunch of hypocrites.
DON him now his prison JUMPSUIT . . .
Think, McFrost, think!
So I guess Reuters thinks that everyone should be sad that a 2 bit punk jerk thief was caught? Maybe if Reuters concentrated on reporting more on the crime in their own back yard, the UK would be a safer place. So buzz off.
C’mon, Gleeful? It’s such a prissy little word,
a scum bag is a scum bag. Now get after all the others! Pronto!
I thought it was “Day w/o a Gay” ???
They should have used language their readers and fans of Chicago Politics understand, like….
Were @#&$%&* ecstatic he was busted no matter what the party!!!!
I don’t think conservatives lost big in the last election. Jelly-spined “moderates” did.
You have no idea how gleeful I am that Reuters is unhappy that I am gleeful. In fact I never read Reuters anyway. Thanks for pointing this out Michele. I would not have known if not for you.
This all is so predictable. Even Reuters reaction.
“All charges dropped as prosecutor concedes Blago was joking during taped converstions.”
“In other news, Patrick Fitzgerald has been named to replace Obama in the Senate.”
wouldn’t surprise me…
My leg tingles with glee!
I remember reading Reuters about the last time I used a typewriter.
Barack Obama: I did not have contact with Blago!
This article states otherwise.
Gleeful,no.But doing the happy feet dance, schadenfreuding,ROFL,giggleing, snorting, high fiveing, crowing, the wave, champange popping, whistleing, fireworks and reading this blog.Other than that I could care less.
My response to Rueters phonetically starts with the FUH sound and ends with the “Q” sound…..
Tammy Duckworth?? Sheesh! She lost the only election she ever ran in! How does that entitle her to a Senate seat?
I’m happy as a clam. And with today’s other development, that JJJ is ‘candidate 5′, I’m pleased as punch.
WooHoo! WOOHOO!!
Perfect timing? Nay, would have been better if it broke before the election :/
Apparently Obama’s senate seat is not won but purchased by money, or who you know or who you can eliminate. Right, and Obama is as white as the driven snow..
Barack Obama?? Sheesh! He didn’t even finish one term as a US Senator! How does that qualify him to be President?
Not making fun of you, MarcoPolo. Just stating the obvious.
I’m not just gleeful. The arrest actually gives me HOPE. What a great Fitzmas present!
Revenge is a dish best served cold.
I have a hard time anymore reading any news. I have to edit every word and then scrutinize what is actually being said…but there is no left influence in the media, thank heavens for that. /sar
This whole business is really beginning to stink real bad. It seems every time we turn around, some “friend” of Obama is in trouble. Of course, he doesn’t know a thing about it. If he were a “Nixon” you best better believe that the MSM would be “on the case 24/7″. Instead, we’re fed a bunch of cover-up and garbage about how wonderful he is, for us. It stinks!
With the Clintons (perhaps) now on board with the Obamas, I can certainly see massive scrambling to assemble “transition team” meetings, whose sole purpose is to devise a plan to blame the Republican Party, or to create diversionary obfuscation.
I dunno. I think Illinois is kind of a midwestern New Jersey, where Democrats will always hold power no matter how bad they suck at everything.
I just don’t understand why voters are so stupid.
Illinois consist of downstate, Chicago and the Chicago suburbs.
Downstate is Republican, Chicago is Democratic. The balance lies in the hands of the suburbs.
So visions of firing squads, frog-marched Republicans and actual arrests are just A-OK in the Liberal mind and anyone who does not fantasize about such things are to be mocked and ridiculed, but actually enjoying watching someone so absolutely corrupt and delusional who both thought he was above the law and that it did not pertain to him, but also believed he would never be caught and thought people should worship him and pay him just for his approval of them and we are horrible people.
Well, since they all feel we should be killed on the spot and dream of a future time when the Liberal Inquisition finally gets off the ground so that horrible things could be done to us in ways Torquemada never imagined, is this really a surprise, let alone worth the time spent writing the article?
Me thinks they protest WAAAAAAY too much.
Besides, they haven’t seen anything. Watch the partying that goes on once Obama is finally exposed after running out of excuses, denials and other people to blame.
Gonna be KRRRRAZZZEEEE up in the hiz-zous!!!!
Rooters can go sit on it. I don’t consider them a legitimate news entity anyway. They are merely a propaganda arm of the Left. As Gus McCrae said “If you ride with outlaws you die with outlaws.”
I for one am NOT gleeful. I am pissed. I am pissed this country will not do a damn thing about corruption in the ranks. I am pissed that a candidate will not release his birth certificate but spend $800k to keep it under wraps. I am pissed that the Constitution is about to go through the shredder. I am pissed a man who is calling himself a “Christian” who was elected to be our next POTUS will bring back partial birth abortion. I am pissed liberals insist the MSM is not biased even when a Dimocrap get busted and they refuse to report his party affiliation. I am pissed about what the MSM did to Palin while giving O’dipstick a pass (after he ran unopposed for his senate seat because he did away with his competition). I am pissed at legislation from the bench.
/rant off as I could go on all day and night
The MSM is upset – GOOD!
It’s all very simple.
The politicians sell votes and seats, deal in graft, get drunk and kill young women…just name your brand of corruption. But they keep getting elected!
This is known as positive re-enforcement. If your dog poops in the house and you don’t discipline him, he figures, “Hey, this is where I’m supposed to poop.”
So, the corrupt-o-crats sh!t all over us because they keep breaking the laws and the discipline is almost non-existant. To be sure, there are those that get caught and punished. Which leads to my next point of…
There is also a “Well, that could never happen to me!” attitude that pervades every level of public service.
Yeah, but why? Who the hell votes for these people? Are there really that many stupid, ignorant, and morally bankrupt people to keep returning corrupt Democrats to positions of power?
Detroit, I get. The smart people got out of Detroit long ago, leaving behind the idiots and the shiftless, and they continually elect Democrats because they are stupid and shiftless. But… come one… the rest of America can’t be as stupid and morally bankrupt as Detroit…
Can it?
Jeez — leave it to the MSM to try to change a story about Democrat corruption into a story about evil conservative reaction. Any correlation between this type of “journalism” and failing news agencies is strictly coincidence. When you continually nauseate a large share of your customer base, don’t be surprised when a large share of your customer base vomits you out of their life (sorry for the image but it is the cold and flu season)…
RAAAAASISST
/sarc
Yeah. “Gleeful”. That’s exactly how I feel when I hear about another of our elected officials’ corruption.
Sickened would be a more appropriate description.
“gleeful”?
FamilyWomen said I feel asleep with a smile on my face.
Gleeful.
YUP!
I guess I am gleeful since I can’t be gay today.
Socky, it’s the victimization of America. The corrupt-o-crats tell the voters that the Republicans don’t grant giveaways, so the voters are victims. When the corrupt-o-crats get caught, they claim to be victims. So there is a symbiotic relationship between the corrupt politician “victims” and the voter “victims.”
No one bothers to look at the candidates. They take the word of the media that there is nothing to see. It’s like the U.S. socialists proclaiming that socialism will work here because it’s the bad people that give socialism a bad name. Basically, “A century of failure proves nothing.”
Who freakin’ cares what they think?! Clearly we aren’t zombies feeding at their filthy troughs.
As easy as it is for me to be gleeful. I am actually quite saddened by the going on in Illinois. After all, it is the citizens of the state which suffers the most.
I am Saved:
The link is no longer there. They removed it. I guess Axlerod must have reminded them they were mistaken also. Or maybe blogobitch called em and gave em a reminder how much power she has. Gleeful, Hell yes, NOW keep on cleaning house Frits NO MATTER WHAT PARTY!!!
I am saved:
They took the link down. Gee they must be in the same boat as axlerod.
Sorry to be off topic, but can’t find a place to put this. I know MM would probable say the trash, but I think not.
Obama’s own Cabinet member: He’s ‘an immigrant’
http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=83114
Gleeful, jubilant, humored, ecstatic, overjoyed, elated, exhilarated, blissful, joyous, euphoric, on cloud nine. Not enough words can describe how I feel. Now I am just waiting for Charlie Rangel and Jack Murtha to go down and it truly will be a Merry X-mas.
I’m not gleeful or anything else for that matter… I’m so disgusted with actions of our elected leaders on both sides of the isle at this point my give a damn’s busted!
In Chicago? Dead people, deadbeats, illegal aliens, and folks paid for their votes per precinct. There may be some category overlap.
“[R]ubbing their hands with glee…” That’s a professional writer saying that?
One wonders what Matthew Bigg thought on October 10, 2003 when Rush Limbaugh was caught up in illegally receiving painkillers, and then-CNN anchor Aaron Brown had on his show Al Franken (author of Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot) and Michael Wolff, both of whom dislike Rush intensely.
From the CNN transcript:
To be fair, the CNN transcript doesn’t include “(rubs hands with glee)” so technically it isn’t the same.
I’m not gleeful I’m fed up!!! Politicians like Blogo are becoming all too common and Reuters really just doesn’t get it. They’re another “news” agency who sucks up to liberals for goodies and treats.
What goes around, comes around, eh, Reuters?
And BHO, what experience does HE have other than to organize a community and run for office?
His VP just knows how to run his mouth.
Where can I purchase this thing called Glee? Or is ‘glee’ something you can pick up on Folsom Street in San Francisco?
——
Dear Reuters,
Is this snarky? BITE ME
R.S.
Or is that the other way around?
No you’re good, just turn around.
I just realized something about Michelle’s title for this article – It would also be correct being much shorter and with an “s” on the end:
Reuters doesn’t like conservatives
I’m not necessarily gleeful about Governor Blagojevitch’s arrest, although, in my humble opinion, it’s long past due. I would be gleeful if the investigation led to the arrest of Richard Daley, “hizzoner da mayr” of Chicago, the aldermen of Chicago, and Daley’s puppets in the “Crook” County government. Perhaps if that happened, the men and women who serve as officers in the Chicago Police Department could get a contract, more officers, better equipment, and badly needed support from the city that craps all over them.
/rant mode
Sorry, folks. Sometimes I get carried away.
ECS
Chicago is one political swamp that is in need of draining? If this leads to that, then yess I am gleeful.
ECS – I wish that would happen, but I wouldn’t count on it. Given Fitzgeralld’s history, he’s going to try to blame it on some high-profile Republican, and claim that said Republican forced Blago to commit the crimes. Then because said Republican can’t remember word-for-word every conversation he’s had over the last 8 years with anyone and everyone, the Republican will go to jail and Blago will be exonorated.
sigh…
The bed-wetters at el Reuters show the world once again that they have devolved to amateur status, not fit to write for a second rate high school newsletter.
Gleeful? Why do that think that? Could it be the jumping up and down yelling “another one down”? That must be it.
Hit the road Jack
Don’t you come back
no more no more
Hit the road Jack
That kind of gleeful? If the man does hard time I’ll fly a Smiley Face flag out front for 30 days.
And we are grateful.
I live in Chicago and the HUGE majority of us-regardless of party-believe that it’s ’bout frakking time that Rockin’ Rod got caught .
Glee and mirth abounded today in Chi.
At least we’re not being gleeful about a high casualty rate in Iraq or about the prospect of our country losing a war.
