Rahm-a-drama: “Beet red” and “pissed” with the MSM
Awwwww. Rahm Emanuel can’t stand the heat. So, he’s blaming the media. ABC News says he’s “beet red” and “pissed” that he can’t go anywhere without someone asking question about his role in Blago-gate.
It’s a hard-knock life:
The president-elect’s chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, said today he won’t go to the Chicago presidential transition offices in order to avoid reporters trying to ask him whether he had contact with Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich about the Senate seat vacated by Barack Obama’s election.
Emanuel appeared “beet-red,” according to an ABC News cameraman who was invited inside by Emanuel to use his bathroom this morning.
“I’m getting regular death threats. You’ve put my home address on national television. I’m pissed at the networks. You’ve intruded too much, ” Emanuel said, according to the cameraman.
A spokesman for Emanuel said he later showed up at the office, apparently able to sneak out of the house without being seen by reporters waiting to ask him questions.

i always get a kick out of these city guys think their so tough…till they meet up with a farmer or cowboy, then they wished they have just shut their mouths, never fails.
This Blago sleaze-bucket seems to have a pretty hefty ego seeing how brazen he was in his shakedown attempts. My guess is he’s not going to quietly and dutifully sacrifice himself under The Chosen One’s bus. I’m sure he’s got plenty of mob connections and thinks he’s enough of a big shot to fight back.
I’m betting that some folks in Obama’s circle are about to meet with very unfortunate accidents. I’m thinking they’ll start with the outer rings to show they mean business and then work their way inward if necessary.

Chicago politics is a cesspool of corruption and the MSM winks and looks the other way. Rostenkowski went to jail, the late Harold Washington went to prison, governors Walker and Kerner went to prison and dozens of judges hired by the Democrat party machine are in the can. All the Democratic politicians there are either in cahoots or pretend they know nothing. Obama and Emauel are using the Sergeant Schultz defense. If you don’t know what the Sergeant Schultz defense is, then you have not been watching nearly enough TVland programming.

I was flipping through the channels and stopped on msnbc. rachel maddow was throwing a hiss fit about proximity guilt, or something. she was flabbergasted that people were thinking obama was guilty because he is from the same state as blago (of course she misses the point, but most liberals always miss the point). I had a good laugh, the msm ignored the proximity guilt of obama’s closeness with ayers, wright, pfleger, rezko, acorn, etc. and now finally questions of possible corruption are being asked. I may need a big bowl for the popcorn i am going to need the next four years of this meltdown.

The alternative answer to this is that if you do not know who Sergeant Schultz is, you probably:
1) do not winter in Florida;
2) do know who Rihanna is;
3) voted for Obama.

See, the thing they need to realize is that now that they are actually in office, so to speak, outlandish claims such as this cannot be made without verification.
Were there to be such an event as regular death threats being made against someone as highly placed as he, then the Secret Service would have been notified. He and his family are now under the protection of that particular organization. They are no longer just regular Joes wandering the streets.

A couple of years ago, I bought about $200 dollars worth of cookies with a check. But I forgot that I wrote the check to them and a month later I closed the account when I moved. The girl scouts didnt try to cash the check until 3 months later.

My opinion as to the Rahm-Blago-Obama love triangle:
I say this believing, perhaps naively, that Obama had no role in the whole seatapolooza. I do think he probably expressed, either directly or through his surrogates his clear preference, which is perfectly fine and expected.
I would be surprised if someone close to Obama was indulging Blago in his little scam. From what I have read, Obama has been distancing himself from Blago for some time now (well before this latest snafu). And, despite Obama’s past association with him (which isn’t THAT much to be honest) and the natural association that would exist between any governor and senator of the same state, I have gotten the impression that neither side likes the other too much.
What is for certain is that, within the next week or two, the Obama team is going to have to disclose all of the contacts it has had with Blago. It MUST MUST MUST do it all at once and be totally forthcoming. If it gets caught only releasing the info piecemeal or only after someone has come forth to contradict, it will look bad.
But all in all, I am really not too concerned about this situation.
What I AM concerned about is that my drink is empty. And also about Eric Devendorf’s possible suspension from the SU basketball team. It’s all about perspective and priorities, people.

I highly doubt this is one of them.
And I have been a lawyer for over 6 years now. I passed “budding” about 3 of them ago.
A lawyer nonetheless. The profession itself is not necessarily a bad thing. It’s just that is has been corrupted into something that is distainful to the majority of us. It is full of the “Have you stopped beating your wife? Answer yes or no.” type of manipulation, spin, and deceit. So, to associate oneself with such questionable practices invites periodic discussions of ones legitimacy.
And Chap, “Do not be misled. Bad company corrupts good character”. Just in case you couldn’t find your Bible amongst the tax codes.
I gladly associate myself with the practice and strongly defend all types off attorneys, even the ambulance chasers and criminal defense folks.
These are indeed amazing developments (Democrats actually being investigated and facing possible consequences for their actions–although the media will forever hide which party these degenerates are party to), so it does not surprise me that folks like Rahm Emanuel cannot face any of the scrutiny aimed at him.
Roddy-Blo is a mere tip of the iceberg here, and it is a terrible shame that the investigation into this corruption did not go on well into the Winter before indictments were handed out. It could have netted everyone who ever had any connection with the rotten Chicago machine (Obama included, because he’s as steeped into it as anyone on the face of the Earth). It’s so bad that the stigma of it could have carried on into 2010 to destroy the Dem’s huge majorities in Congress.
I just hope that Roddy-Blo continues to fight on and buck his party’s cries for him to resign. I also hopes that he eventually sings like a bird when he’s on trial in an effort to drag as many people down with him as possible.

I saw Karl Rove being stalked outside his house durig the Valarie Plame incident. Now that the same prosecutor is focusing his sights on the home team, they cry foul.
Rahm was, and is, a poor choice for “change” in this country. I saw him on CSPAN calling the Rebublicans “Republics” over and over. The disdain in his voice was so apparent, it was disgusting. He was insulting them to their face and loving every minute of it. House rules do not even permit that kind of behavior but there was Nancy, gleefully endorsing it as well. That guy and his ilk disgust me. He is a mean spirited a$$.
I would ask why Obama would even associate with a guy like that but do we even know who Obama is? No, we don’t. The left wing media failed to present the facts equitably, reasonably, and accurately.
Obama said Blago is just politics as usual. What a guffaw. Maybe corruption is usual in Illinois and I think there may be a lot of truth to that but corruption is an exception, not a rule.
Even Enron is an exception. To tar all corporations with that broad brush is just a class warfare tactic perpetuated by the left wing media & swallowed whole by the masses. That should be a major concern to all free thinkers.
I’ll take a gracious President Bush with all of his faults over people like Obama & Emmanuel any day of the week. What goes around comes around.
