Carol Browner: You were warned
Obama made it official this afternoon, announcing Carol Browner as his designated energy czar along with other “green” nominees.
If fiscal conservatives, sound science advocates, and businesses don’t raise a stink about Browner’s crooked background, they deserve everything that’s coming to them.

Seemed very interesting that Obama chose to announce these people AFTER the stock market closed. I guess he just did not want to watch it tank as he anounced them one after the next.

I hate to be too negative, but I don’t see a change without a revolt of some kind. Their going to drive the country to the poor house using $4 a gallon gas….everything goes up…food, medicine, health care, everything.

If nothing else, with each passing day it becomes clearer that Obama’s campaign was the biggest political con job in recent memory. He’s the Bernie Madoff of politicians.
The biggest problem facing us regarding our energy future can be summarized thusly:
The total ignorence about what valid science tells us about Global Warming aka Climate Change. This ignorence leads to two end results:
1. The majority of our energy resources are carbon based and they has been demonized by a criminally compliant media and academia.
2. This results, in turn,in a populace that simply does not in any way understand what Cap and Trade really means. This scam has the potential of quite literally shutting the United States down. This will be accompanied by making such people as ALGORE rich beyond even their twisted dreams.
This appointment only goes to emphasize the intent of this next administration to “Rule” (not my word, theirs)

I hope we can mount a significant defense against the coming cap and trade legislation and elimination of coal as an energy source. This government is likely to tax the people into submission unless some very creative strategies are put in place, and soon. We now should have a pretty good idea what we’re going to get from an administration trained by the Chicago Democratic machine and a House and Senate run by left-wing nut cases. We need to be thinking about all forms of resistance to the Change We Can’t Accept, much less Believe In.

How can a person with this track record of underhandedness be appointed the head of a federal agency with so much power? HOW CAN THIS HAPPEN?
I can hardly wait until this recycled failed Clintonista green weenie and all the others get their hands on American energy policy. We can soon look forward to freezing to death in our dark homes while taking the “people’s rainbow powered bus” to our indentured servitude work programs to serve dear leaders and the glorious people’s state.
We could really use some Gorebull warming in the middle of nowhere Idaho right now. We currently have 27 degrees with a wind chill near zero and can expect highs in the teens and if we are really lucky in the twenties according to the 10 day forecast. This fraudulent religion needs to be burned with all of its believers at the stake. At least it would have the potential to keep those of us in cold country warm during what appears to be a record cold winter.

Gosh, Obama even brought Carol Browner back from the freezer. Maddy Albright can’t be far behind. I am waiting for the announcement of Cyrus Vance at State, Joe Califano at HHS, James Schlessinger at Energy and Jody Powell as Press Secretary. Obama will run out of Clinton factoids to appoint and will have to bring back Jimmy Carter’s superannuated cabinet members.

The reason why the Clinton years were not so bad was because his administration could not get things done while Congress was majority repub. We are now going to get to see what the mid 90’s would have been like if Clinton could have gotten his way.

DO NOT rely on the Republicans in Washington to help in any way! They are part of the problem, not the solution. Some of the Conservatives MIGHT be a little help, but they really are too few to matter.

Too much negativity on this. After all, it has already cooled off considerably around here since Obama was elected. What more proof do we need that he is The One?
Things are somewhat sanguine now that fuel prices have collapsed. When energy skyrockets again next year, “Katie bar the door!”. That is the thin piece of duck tape holding this Democrat “economy” together right now. Keep in mind the blood trail for the Sub-Prime Economic Meltdown of 2008 leads right to the Democrats but our august Republican leaders could not seem to figure out how to communicate this to the American people before the election. This is why some kind of revolt may be necessary.
When the existing political system protects the politicians, and other lawbreakers to the extent that thay are never called to account for their crimes, then the society falls into collapse, which is basically where we are now. The Browners, Raines, Dodds, and Rangels of the world could never have done such damage had the rule of law been enforced. Now they are emboldened to continue.

As Barack Hussein Obama won with an absolute majority and has an absolute majority in both Houses of Congress he will almost certainly be forced to over reach- push the envelope as it were on all issues. Mr. Keene’s question: “Will Conservatives be able to respond effectively, before it is too late to stop them?”
There was Clinton’s Health Care and then McCain/Kennedy/Bush Amnesty that were stopped by grass roots firestorms.
The bigger issue on stopping a Carol Browner and such appointment is a Federal Bureaucracy just filled with hard Left Democrats who have thwarted Republican Presidents and Congresses. These people run their own little fiefdoms regardless of law or policy–Mr. Keene states the Department of Justice is the worst. I think we have all seen too many examples of that.
On January 21 we need to be nice and polite and wish Barack Hussein Obama well. On January 22 ALL Conservative need to come out fighting and prepare for the 2010 elections.
