The tax on insurance is meant to drive up the number of uninsured so they can cry about the "need" for socialized health care, right?

this is just the first step on the path to the real target, fast food money. we need an obesity tax on mcd and burger king because they are successful and have money. we have taxed everyone else to the point of insurrection, so let's go after this group of money making businesses. a better idea would be to tax hospitals which hide behind religious tax laws.

I am obese. I think Benny Hill would call it, "grossen herren." However, I dont drink sugared sodas, nor sugar free ones for that matter either, simply because I dont have a taste for them. The same for my wife, although she's not fat like I am.
So somebody here help me - If we were residents of NY State, how would our abstinence of sodas, that is not buying them anyway thereby not paying the fat tax, help the economy of NYS?
Just asking.

<blockquote>That which is <strike>not</strike> taxed <strike>shall</strike> will be <strike>considered a mandatory purchase</strike>everything. We, the government(fed, states, local) need your money.</blockquote>

I believe this is what it is coming to.

I think we "Red Staters" should have our state governments mandate a test on the Constitution before allowing someone to establish residency. That oughta keep the liberals at bay. So far, our "home-grown" liberals are a minority, and we want to keep them that way.

Oklahoma HR 1804 - doing what the Federal Government refuses to do.
