Operation Three Little Piggies

By Michelle Malkin  •  December 17, 2008 09:54 AM

Top Conservatives on Twitter have launched a new action project targeting the “three little piggies” — UAW President Ron Gettelfinger, GM CEO Rick Wagoner, and Chrysler CEO Robert Nardelli. I know I’ve got a lot of fabulous Photoshoppers out there. This one sounds fun. So go and check out Operation Three Little Piggies here and here.

And if you haven’t opened a Twitter account (or haven’t figured it out yet), make sure to join TCOT.

unfortunately this is the fable of the three little pigs who counted on the government to build the house of brick. each of these pigs put up a slapdash house of straw never counting on the wolf, and now want to jump into public assistance housing as the wolf chases their butts down the street. seems the old rules about thrift apply to even the biggest and brightest out there. perhaps we should begin embracing old math, and old values, and old morality, and old ways. just a thought.

Like everything else, they are comming into their own the longer they are around. Facebook is not just a community of kids anymore, serves other purposes as well. I haven’t gotten on twitter, but I’ve heard the name dropped more and more these days.

Yesterday on Cavuto, I saw one former UAW worker trying to organize a boycott of Alabama because of Sen. Shelby’s stance on the bailout.

Since UAW workers make $73 bucks an hour but the big three are asking for money anyways, I wrote GM and told them I’m no longer buying any GM models… ever.

If they have the audacity to ask for money but pay a total of $73/hour to their workers, I’m obviously paying a ton in markup.

So long, American auto makers. I’m going German or Japanese from now on.

Right – sort of like the real political discussion over at Daily Kos or Democratic Underground. They’d never, never stoop to ridiculing some one of the opposite political position with photoshop – no never.

And since the girl I am seeing is still in college, all of her friends are on Facebook and would swamp me in updates. I just dont care anymore about who had a party last week and ended up passing out drunk.

The urgency to compile the projects comes as UVa President John T. Casteen III added his name to a list of 40 other high-ranking university and college officials who’ve called for Congress to commit $40 billion to $45 billion in economic-stimulus money to higher education.

“That investment initially should focus on infrastructure: building essential classroom and research buildings and equipping them with the latest technologies,” states the letter, issued by the Carnegie Corp. of New York on behalf of college officials.

UVA has money and uses it to buy real estate and on construction projects.

It also said any federal money should be funneled to the states, based on population, for distribution to colleges and universities. In addition, governors — not the state legislatures — would approve projects for funding, the letter said.

    Sorry western states, you’re out.
Va has a liberal governor but a somewhat conservative legislature. Coincidence I’m sure.

My local Community College put a referendom (or and initiative–whichever is the one that authorizes bond issues) on the ballot to fund a huge expansion of the classroom capacity. It failed. Oddly, the construction began anyway and instead of it all happening at once it will be incremental. Gee, guess this small local college is a whole lot smarter than the big Univerisities looking for Federal $$$$.
