Paul Weyrich, R.I.P.
Very sad to hear of the passing of conservative giant Paul Weyrich. Rob Bluey at the Heritage Foundation, which Weyrich co-founded, has the announcement. For those who didn’t know, Weyrich had a spinal injury that left him in constant pain and confined to a wheelchair. The physical limitations, however, could not keep him from his work. Weyrich was a tireless champion of the Right ’til the very end. He sent out Free Congress Foundation commentaries almost daily — one of the last ones shed light on the Minnesota Senate race shenanigans. His critical role in the establishment of the Right’s intellectual and communications infrastructure cannot be emphasized enough. R.I.P.

Good bye Mr. Weyrich, you will be missed.
Goodbye, Paul. RiP
Say Hello!! to Reagan, Heston, and my other heroes!!
+1
Godspeed, Sir.
A good man. A principled man. Such men are rare indeed.
Read Paul’s commentaries on Towhall.com and Newsmax.com. What a wonderful writer and champion for conservative principles. I will miss reading his work. RIP, Paul…
Our country just became a little poorer. RIP, Mr. Weyrich.
2008 has been like the Conservative Rapture: William F. Buckley, Tony Snow, Dean Barnett, and now Mr. Weyrich. The rest of us are Left Behind.
What a damn shame. I know 66 doesn’t seem young, but it seems way too young to be leaving this world.
RIP, Paul.
My condolences as well
I give my condolences as well -please ignore my previous post #9.
…and Teddy Roosevelt.
Rest In Peace.
I hope to see them again someday, myself. Until then, farewell…
William F. Buckley…
As this generation of conservatives passes we need to pray for the next generation. Right now I fear not enough of us are praying enough because the ranks look pretty thin and the cost of offering to serve are pretty high.
May God rest his Soul and Comfort his family.
May God have mercy, and His grace raise up more like him to carry the light into a dark world.
