I haven’t seen the video nor want to but look at the following statement: “Prosecutors presented no evidence that anyone had followed Mohamed’s instructions in the video and caused harm“. If no harm was caused, why is he getting 15 years? The sentence and restitution should be in proportion to the amount of harm done. That’s true justice, no? So this guy got 15 years for really harming no one. So it’s a political sentence. Let the victims come forward and show how they were harmed in a tangible way. If someone was killed because of this man’s video, then let the actual killer die. Why don’t we prosecute people who think about jihad while we’re at it?

Ain't it ironic that he figures this out after he's caught. If he's that smart he should have figured it out before he went stupid. It's sort of like the murderers that always seem to find Jesus after they get convicted.

We used to have a stronger word for “providing material support” to avowed enemies of our nation. It was called treason, and the punishment proscribed was typically a speedy execution, which is what this man and John Walker Lindh should both have gotten. Sadly, we don’t have the collective stomach for such things anymore, so we spare the lives of traitors but in return live in a more chaotic world far more apt to steal the lives of the innocent.
