This year. Next year perhaps only Blundebusses will be legal under the Obama 2nd Amendment.

Nice to know Santa is also a sheepdog willing to protect the herd from the wolves. If that was Sarah Palin driving the sled I am surprised she is not sporting a scoped and sighted Remington 700 30.06 to claim a couple of pelts too!

Not quite getting who that is supposed to be, but if you go to Sandy’s site and look at her “Security Check card, there is a person in the Sleigh that appears to have a moustache and is most decidedly NOT Sarah Palin, more like a balding mexican. When I look at the above picture, it appears the driver also has a moustache. So I am guessing it is the same person.

So you are saying you can’t hit a sprinting wolf from a moving airplane with a muzzle loader?

I’ve admitted to being a liberal and even I wouldn’t admit to something that embarassing and emasculating on a public forum.

No-no, the muzzle-loader from an airplane is fine, it’s the Roy Rogers cap gun that’s the problem. Even after modifying one for full-auto on a roll of caps the projectiles still have to be pretty light. Even with a good teflon coating it sometimes just angers the wolves. And then the left claims I’ve failed in my hunting mission and wants me to go home…

You know almost as much about guns as you do about economics. Blunderbusses aren’t Kentucky long rifles. One of the reasons the military fired them in vollies was that that was the only way to be fairly sure of hitting something.

(Love the card) I don’t normally do this, and I promise not to make a habit of it, but one of today’s caption contests seems tailor made for some of you, on the theme of “what is Santa looking for in the garbage?” The Bush Legacy? The Ramos and Compean pardons? Barack Obama’s birth certificate? Add your own. Thanks.

First, When did I say it was a kentucky long rifle? That would have been difficult since I had never heard of it until you wrote it. I said they were a muzzleloader, which is accurate, right? Clearly you know as much about reading comprehension as you do about…well pick any topic except, apparently, obsolete weaponry.

Second, Aloha and I were joking around. Try not to make EVERY post another volloey in the little war you have clearly concocted between us in your mind.

Sigh. I didn’t say you called it a Kentucky long rifle. You were, in your perennial ignorance, claiming that one should be able to hit a wolf from a moving aircraft with a blunderbuss, or have their manhood questioned. I simply pointed out that they were not highly accurate weapons. I suppose I should have spelled that out in words of one syllable, so you could understand.

When did I say it was a kentucky long rifle? That would have been difficult since I had never heard of it until you wrote it

That I believe. Try reading a little American history, moron. Kentucky long rifles were famously accurate weapons.

Aloha and I were joking around.

So was I. Problem is, since you like all liberals lack any shred of a sense of humor, you didn’t “get” it.

Try not to make EVERY post another volloey in the little war you have clearly concocted between us in your mind.

That’s about as much a war as Reagan’s invasion of Grenada.

What isn’t is txvet’s constant jackassitude.

I guess with Goldwater Knight and atheling no longer posting, you felt the need to fill the “e-tough bad boy of the MM board.”

If that was your intent, good job. But I’ll tell you what. Agree or disagree with me, I at least provide 1) a unique perspective and 2) occasional funny. So far as I can tell, txvet, you have not contributed one single unique thought to this board–ever. You only say what a hundred other people can and, except they often say it smarter and with more class.

But as to the “topic”, I admit to never having learned of the Kentucky long rifle, or if I had I have forgotten about it. I guess I was too busy learning important facts about American history. But the foolish often cling to trivialities because it is the only thing they can relate to.

Hey – I’m highjacking this thread as I don’t see an appropriate thread to comment.

Now that we’re all freezing our B*tts off from east to west, north to south in this country, has anyone noticed that it’s no longer posited in the media that global warming is a problem, rather that it’s CLIMATE CHANGE?

Take note of the specialty of the other new czar, the climate change czar.

climate change – which allows the unhinged unscientific left to point to a very rainy day as a cause for alarm to regulate some successful industry in this country.

historical rewrite, courtesy of the media that will bring you the news for Obama the next 4 years…. very scary boys and girls….

I was flying F-16’s at Kunsan AB, Korea in 1985 when our squadron (the 80th Fighter Squadron — the Headhunters) printed a Christmas card and sent it to other USAF fighter squadrons around the world.

We were all at a remote (i.e., no families) assignment for a year and it was a pretty miserable existence so the card had on the front “If we can’t have a Merry Christmas,…”

You then opened the card and it read, “…neither can you!” along with a sketch of Santa and his sleigh with the gunsight from an F-16 superimposed across them.

Just a little levity from the guys defending freedom from the tip of the spear!

We bought some cap guns for our grandson last Christmas and had to go through all sorts of gyrations to get him the caps as well as getting them through the post office — can’t be sending those dangerous objects across the country now, can we?
