I spent the morning in the hot tub and I am going snowboarding this afternoon and for the next week. Good for Israel. Enough is enough. It’s inconceivable that the Israelis tolerated all those 3,000 rockets being lobbed at their civilian population for so long.
What’s perhaps more confusing is why the Palestinians continue to not understand that if they don’t work with the Israelis they will never get their own nation state. The Palestinians continue to cling to the naive belief that all the disputed land, including the land that Israel currently inhabits, belongs to them. This land has been shared by many different civilizations and religions for 1,000’s of years.
The Palestinians haven’t shown a real commitment to peace. It’s an all or nothing game that their Iran-funded, Hamas puppetmasters have encouraged them to believe for so long. The Palestinians don’t believe in “peaceful coexistence” and never will. What did they expect the Israelis to do? Let the rocket barrage continue?
To those like LGM, I say this: What a disgrace that you only look at the terrorist side of this issue. Israel is fighting for survival. I will never understand why American Jews like LGM turn their backs on Israel, even after it was created to give European Jews a homeland free of further genocide and persecution.
LGM, like other liberals, lectures us “short-sighted conservatives” about not voting our own self-interests yet look how they treat their own Israeli Jewish cousins. Gladhanding terrorists and talking peace are all well and good if both parties are engaged. However, if one, say Hamas/Iran, are using the “truce” to perpetrate more violence, what’s the point?
One more thing: anybody notice that Russia has called for a halt to Israeli military operations? I wonder why that is.

You might want to ask that question of the Palis who launch missiles into Israeli towns and send stupid kids to blow up Jewish grannies and toddlers. Israel is acting out of self-defense. I would expect nothing less from our own military if Mexico was lobbing rockets out of Tijuana into San Diego or if Canada was launching rockets out of Vancouver into Seattle.
In many ways, Israel is reaping what the US/UN/EU has sown. We have done nothing but empower the Palis since Jimmah Cawter was elected. Not once have we set our foot down and told them that if they want aid from anyone, they had best stop their little temper tantrums - from this day forward they’d best control their impulses and rein in their vehement hatred of the Israelis. Actually, violence, when applied in overwhelming quantities, will end further violence. Kill the SOBs who instigate the violence (in this case the ones who have been lobbing mortars and missles for months.) Dead terrorists cause no further grief.

Here is a lesson I taught someone in my first year of high school. In gym class, we were running laps around the basketball court. A senior slapped me on the back of the head. I said to him “don’t do that.” He smirked and laughed with his buddies. He came around again and slapped me in the back of my head. I got in 6-7 good shots to his head, broke his nose and was on top of him for a few seconds before the coach pulled me off. At the time, I weighed about 130 pounds and the senior was at least 30 pounds heavier than me. We go to the vice-principal’s office. I tell him what happened. He looks at me and tells me to stop fighting in gym class and sends me back to class. Hamas could have stopped sending missles into Israel and didn’t. Now, they are getting what they deserve. I have no sympathy for them. None.
