I bet he still can’t pass the Army Physical Fitness Test. Then again, what would he care about that? It’s not like he’s getting in shape to go to war or do any kind of physical labor. I agree. I bet W could kick his butt aerobically, particularly with that nicotine problem.

I think you would be surprised with the power of paparazzi’s telescopic lenses.

Methinks the comment you quote is made in light of the fact that scopes on rifles are also quite good. If the paparazzi can get off a shot without the Secret Service knowing about it, I think they have a glaring hole in their security (which I assume they do not).

Hope-a-Dope got elected on the basis of a combination American Idol / Cult of Personality connection with his supporters; it is no surprise whatsoever that we're now seeing "Cult of the Strongman" photos a la Mussolini and Putin popping up in the media.

Hope-a-Dope is a creature of the press; he could never have won the donkey primary, not to mention the general election, without their cheerleading and blocking for him.

The only difference between Italy of the 1930s, Russia of today and the USA of tomorrow is that the first two had governments that intimidated and otherwise dragooned their media into over-the-top adulation of The Dear Leader.

The American media required no coercion at all; they were only too glad to fall in line.

I also thought it was odd the see the term "cheesecake" in connection to a man. You're right.

And it will take more than BEEFCAKE pictures of President Elect Obama to convince me to vote to reelect him 4 years from now; only time will tell. As Dennis Miller put it, I hope I'm salivating to vote for him by then, but not because of a shirtless picture.

Yes. And RiffTrax has a riff for Plan 9. I know that Plan 9 is bad, but Manos is just plain awful.

I hear they may have to make room for "The Spirit" in the awful list.

My guess is that the most powerful army and huge nuclear arsenal might carry a teensy bit more weight than a nickname given by some blogger no one’s ever heard of in terms of whether or not other countries take Obama seriously.

A powerful army and nuclear arsenal does not an effective Commander in Chief make. :D

Their takedown of Matrix:Reloaded is just brutal.

The first RiffTrax I experienced (because that's what it is!) was for The Matrix. Damn near peed my pants I was laughing so hard. Personally, the riffs of Harry Potter 1 and 2 are great! "Are you sure his name isn't Mumble-dore?"

TMT: I'm totally with you...I was alluding to the Goerings in Washington like Murtha, Frank, Schumer, et al.

Unfit for leadership.

Hell, throw Maxine Waters in there, too. Fat in mind only.

from the anchoress;

American “reporters” have become the political equivalent of teen magazine editors;

Thats a bit too much credit IMO.

Lets have a race, 'W' vs BHussein, say about 3.5 miles?
"Smokey Bare" won't even finish. He can play a little hoops, work out, but I bet President Bush is in better shape than the Smokey Bare.

Debbie, MM, everyone; feel free to use this new moniker.
