Bon voyage, Jihad Cindy McKinney; Update: Israeli Navy turns back S.S. Moonbat
Scroll down for updates…Cindy’s ship intercepted and turned back after crashing into Israeli Navy gunboat…

Move over, Hanoi Jane Fonda. Jihad Cindy McKinney is sailing to Gaza to deliver medical supplies to Hamas.
Is it a one-way ticket? We can only hope. Via the AJC:
Former Georgia congresswoman Cynthia McKinney is a high-profile member of a boatload of activists that set sail Monday from Cyprus to deliver medicine to war-torn Gaza.
McKinney, who ran as the Green Party candidate for president, sees the voyage as a humanitarian mission, said her father, former Georgia state Rep. Billy McKinney.
“Her mother did not want her to go,” he said, referring to concerns at home for her safety. “But I think that certain people have missions in life and you can’t deter them.”
The activists, organized by the Free Gaza Group, said their 66-foot yacht called “SS Dignity” would defy an Israeli blockade of Gaza and ferry 16 activists and three tons of Cypriot-donated supplies. The supplies are intended to help treat the wounded from Israeli bombings against targets in Gaza, in retaliation for rocket fire aimed at civilians in southern Israeli towns.
Flashback: Cynthia McKinney’s Arab and Islamist Donors
***
Update 5:22am Eastern. Carl in Jerusalem reports that the S.S. Moonbat has been turned back by the Israeli Navy…
The yacht carrying former US Congresscritter and Green Party Presidential candidate Cynthia McKinney tried to outmaneuver an Israeli navy gunboat off Gaza Tuesday morning. The yacht rammed into the Israeli gunboat, which then turned it around and sent it back to Cyprus.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor said the boat ignored an Israeli radio order to turn back early Tuesday. He said the boat tried to outmaneuver the navy ship and crashed into it, lightly damaging both vessels. The navy then escorted the boat to the territorial waters of Cyprus.Protest boat organizer Derek Graham said the Israeli ship “rammed” the protest boat.
According to the ‘Free Gaza’ website of the boat’s organizers (which I will not grace with a link), the boat is now headed to ’safety’ in Lebanon.

Oh, look, it’s some unnotable who never says anything worthy of being stolen, excusing someone else not giving proper credit where it is due from someone who clearly did say something notable enough to be used (without credit).
* double yawn.
My thoughts exactly, letget. Israel is one of our allies, so wouldn’t this be considered an act of treason against the U.S.?
It’s about time Israel stopped caring what the rest of the world thinks about how they protect their own country from aggression. Too bad the U.S. can’t follow suit.
A news report. They may try again. Truly a ship of fools.

A ship carrying supplies for a combatant is a legitimate target in war time reguardless of the flag it is flying. Just like mosques are if they are being used for military purposes. Hell you can carpet bomb an occupied childrens hospital if there is a sniper in it about be okay under the law of warfare. Though that might be stretching the intent of the law a little. Point is any protected target losses that protection the second it seaks to support one side or the other. Israeli boats can legaly sink this ship anywhere. If they really want to get these supplies through, they should work WITH the Israelis or they will be treated the same as any other potential arms summugling ship.
“The same idea”? I wrote a whole column about this back in 2001, and Michelle read it, and back in the past she linked to it, so she’s aware of it. Yes, the “same idea”–mine.
Oh Debbie…
Please, point out where Michelle took credit.

Please, point out where you own a copy write for the phrase.
It seems that I spoke a lot into their lives which bears repeating so pardon me if you never find a thing I have to say earth shattering for you.
You are above all of this. I enjoy your blog and your writing very much. Your article on the Israel attacks was outstanding so, pardon me if I think more highly of you than you deserve.
Okay fine it’s yours!!!

Well, I wouldn’t put it past the Israeli government to order an attack on a boatload of idiots. Remember the USS Liberty.
But I have to say it think it is much more likely that this situation went down as reported by the Israeli government. Most likely a small, fast patrol boat, versus a large bulky craft not exactly designed for quick manuvering. Couple that with some idiolgical idiot who probably shouldn’t be commanding a rubber duck in a bathtub and I am sure they pushed their luck and lost.
Too bad they didn’t blow her out of the water.

Doesn’t matter, I have the copyright now. HA HA HA HA HA HA

Aww c’mon man, do we all have to start copywriting our stuff? I’ll never remember to do that.
Oh well, anyone who wants pre-coffee and cigerette ramblings are free to have them.
Should we start crediting Charles Krauthammer everytime we bring up Bush Derangment Syndrome? And who do we give credit to moonbat for? The posts are going to get very long and tedious if we have to start footnoting everything.
Besides, Jihad Cindy is rather obvious and not that clever.

Actually, according to MM’s terms of use, anything we post we own, but she can use it in perpituity, if I read correctly.
back on topic…I wouldn’t worry too much about how the MSM portrays this silly incident. Miz McKinney is capable of making an a$$ of herself with no help whatsoever. Plus, I’m pretty sure the Israelis don’t care what the media says, anyway.
wasn’t that moniker already given to Cindy Sheehan some time ago? just sayin’…
should be “perpetuity”. More coffee, anyone?

This is to funny. But it’s time for me to wander in to the roadside diner and get some coffee before I start down the road for the day.
This post brought to you from a little diner, across from a big truckstop, in Grants, NM. For the record, I copyright nothing!
Too bad they didn’t fire a warning shot into the bridge of the SS Moonbat it would have saved both of our countries a lot less heartache from the enemy within.

Could Cythina McKinney and her little armada be the start of the Zombie invasion Chapoutier has been trying to warn us about?
Free Gaza Movement eh? Is this group trying to free Gaza from Hamas? I find it interesting that Ms. McKinney has taken on this cause, what is $he getting out of it? Wasn’t she in congress when Israel moved out of the Gaza strip??? A loon I guess..

Hey, how was your Christmas?
Now, to the topic at hand; you do have a point. How do spoiled children become spoiled? No real consequences when they act out. Same principle applies here. They won’t grow up until they’re left with no choice. What else could explain why they thought they could do something like this and the Israelis wouldn’t respond?

Fruits, nuts, SEMTEX and C-4. While in Viet Nam once in awhile we would be told NOT to pick up any weapons we found in a given grid. Sometime later we would find a dead Charlie–his rifle having exploded.
Once I asked the Colonel about it. I did not see a dead Charlie, his rifle having exploded. But Representative Jihad Cindy reminded me of it. Odd.
Sorry, folks, Bill Gates beat you to them:

In all seriousness, though, can’t we just turn this lunatic away at the border when she tries to come home? Isn’t she giving aid and comfort to a recognized terrorist organization?
Well, since Obama appears to be Bill Clinton Term 3, I would guess it would depend on what your definition of what the word “Aid”, “Comfort” and “Terrorist” are.
How does this help Michelle’s children? Come on Cynthia, get with the ticket
Also “Isn’t.”
It’s just Cindy’s way of ensuring that all Arab women have the right to a very late term abortion via suicide vest.
Allah Ack(Boom)!!
Anyone else find it interesting that with a CNN crew on board there is no video of the incident? They have plenty of footage of McKinney and the “journalist” running their mouths, but no video of the “attack.” Interesting that the other video shows the attacks upon Gaza. No videos of the attacks upon Israel, though.
The reporting is very thin considering a CNN crew was on board.
I can hear it now: “How can they not recognize me! They should have let me pass! It’s a civil rights issue!”
It’s a shame the screwballs who rammed the Israeli gunboat didn’t do so more aggressively. That would have given the blockade ships a reason to “defend” themselves against the SS Dignity… you know. Defend?
I’m just saying.
Hey frostrt!! Our Christmas was pleasant and relaxed…despite the usual activities, church services, and visiting. How was yours?
———————
P.S. I’m with those who would say to turn McKinney away @ the US border..her actions demonstrate her allegiance to an enemy of the US. I’m sure she’ll find a Muslim country that will welcome her with open arms…perhaps Iran?
She would slap a guard there exactly once. Followed by a loud noise, a little wimpering and bleeding, then shove sounds.
I’m using an analog computer–excuse me- I have to go replace 312 pots and dials today.
shove = shovel

Mine was great, too; went to my folks’ on Christmas Eve after work and stayed til Sunday evening. Church, presents, too much good food; the usual hokey but nice old-fashioned stuff!
Agreed; Ms. McKinney has now at least attempted to give aid and comfort to an enemy of our ally, Israel. She has committed treason. That used to mean something.
When I was in the U.S. Navy trying to launch test Trident missiles off the coast of Florida, we N E V E R rammed a Greenpeace vessel that was trying to enter the restricted launch area.
We “fended” them off.
Ramming is done at angles approaching 90 degrees. If done at a more acute angle, it is fending off.
No doubt this incident had something to do with RACISM. With Cynthia, it always does.
sonofdy, at first I thought you meant the guard would be the one whimpering…
frostrt, glad you had a nice old-fashioned Christmas–to me, the best kind!
Now, what to do about treasonous US citizens? I guess we’ll owe Julius and Ethel Rosenberg an apology, if we keep letting the McKinneys of the world off the hook.
sonofdy said:
Not really! There is the little part about proportionality which means you can’t kill a gnat by “nuking” it. Yes, it may make you feel better, but the response must be conditioned by what the target is and what the unintended consequences might be, i.e., collateral damage.
A sniper on the rooftop of a children’s hospital should be taken out by a sniper on another rooftop, not by carpet-bombing.
The Law of Armed Conflict is something studied by those in the profession of arms because “he who lives by the sword…”

Thanks! Gonna be going to my folks’ again tomorrow after work to see the New Year in with them.
Now, to your second point; according to many libs, we ALREADY owe Julius and Ethel a posthumous apology. They were either innocent or harmless.
As I pointed out before, there are two versions to many stories; the truth and what libs and the lib MSM wants us to believe.
Yes, twofoot. The Israeli Navy did attack the USS Liberty. They knew it was a surveillance ship and they didn’t want any intercepted information about their upcoming attacks on the West Bank, Gaza and the Golan Heights to be compromised.
That is not to say I support the attack. But from the Israeli point of view, they couldn’t have knowledge of their attacks leaked to the American press. Look what was happening in Vietnam at the time and how the American press was handling that.
It was wrong, but from their point of view, necessary.
In the case of Windy Cindy, maybe we can hope for something like this.
I thought this was a joke when I heard it on the Radio this morning.
What a pain in the arse she is….
I’m sure of course, this was a racist incident.
With Cynthia McK on board the ship lost its dignity. It is now SS Indignity, no longer able to wear a disguise.
Btw, (a very long way segue) A few days ago, a male terrorist was caught wearing a female Arabic attire. How could anyone ascertain a male is wearing a female Arabian garb? With the long dress/robe covering all, who could tell what is being covered? That is, the male perp was NOT wearing a harem outfit, was he?
All I can say is: good detective work!
Clearly you missed my point about that stretching the intent of the law. But I would not risk lives of MY troops by demanding equality like you suggest. 25mm rounds from a m2a2 or a TOW will work just as well and does not put my guys in danger.
That means the CNN crew was hiding below deck, or they have video that would prove the Israeli navy Acted properly and won’t show it for that reason.
Just like Cindy McKinney, Hanoi Jane, John Kerry, Nancy Pelosi (remember her visit to Syria???), and numerous Hollyweird types…harmless, until they get some attention.
Either scenario sounds quite plausible. Why would CNN be on the boat and NOT take footage of the trip??? The videographers I’ve worked with on projects turn their cameras on at the beginning of the day and pretty much keep them rollin’. In the case of the CNN types, though, they were more likely hiding.
The concept of proportionality in the law of land warfare can be taken too far. If you have an advantage in warfare you don’t ignore it just to statisfy some lawyer back in the hauge who will probably never be near a round being fired.
I just looked at CNN and there is a picture of the turdtub. That thing will not make another run until there are some repairs made. Good for Israel!
Or what are you going to do if we don’t stop, Debbie, send us a strongly-worded letter? Cry?
Your favorite passtime, sue? Get a grip.
And as for McKenney, she’s an idiot, and her former Georgia compatriots are probably estatic she’s out of their hair.
The Rosenbergs were as guilty as hell. During the trial, top secret evidence showed they were sending nuclear secrets to the Soviets. That evidence never made it to the jury; it was shown to the judge, in camera. This is why the liberals always claim the evidence never proved guilt.
Sir William Stephenson (Intrepid) knew it because the British were intercepting Soviet messages at that time. And those messages named the Rosenbergs. See the book “Intrepid’s Last Case.”
Yes, I missed the part about stretching the intent of the law. However, contrary to what the MSM reports, the US goes to great lengths to make certain innocents are not hurt when it can be prevented.
You CAN’T justify putting a TOW or 25MM rounds on a single person when the results of such a strike could harm innocent bystanders.
Putting people in harm’s way comes with the territory of being a commander and this may be a case where the single enemy gets away.
However, there are ways to make certain this sniper would get his reward but not on the rooftop of the children’s hospital. More likely it would happen later when he gets in his truck to drive away with his fellow conspirators and happens to pass through an open field. As soon as the vehicle is in the clear, a Hellfire would join them in the cab of their little truck and they would wake up to find Allah got it wrong about being surrounded by virgins!
An advantage of being able to instantly strike an enemy doesn’t mean you can apply a hammer when a flyswatter will suffice.
We have ways of making certain such individuals “meet their Maker” at the time and place of our choosing so that others are not endangered (our people as well as the innocents).
Sure I can. My guys walk away and the sniper doesn’t. That is all the justification I need. Don’t like it? Courtmarshal me.
I like overkill. It ensures you don’t have to “swatt” twice.
TMT, it’s this kind of moral relativism that has led us to where we are today…where Jihad Cindy is hailed as a hero for her traitorous actions, and Hanoi Jane and John Kerry are still in the limelight, alive and well. Brainwashed into thinking there is no “right” or “wrong”, I am deeply concerned for our future generations.
I don’t know, there is a certain satisfaction that comes with a crew served weapon.
That didn’t come out right…I hope it made sense, anyway.
Lying twit. If the Israeli Navy decided to stop a ship it does so by ramming it into the bottom of the Mediterranean. She’s lucky she’s still sucking valuable oxygen.
I would like to see the “relief supplies” she was carrying. My guess it was 5″ rocket warheads, rocket motor ignitors, grenades, and prefabricated videos claiming innocence on the part of the Hamaas terrorists.
When will the world wake up and institute mandatory beheading for terrorists, their supporters, and their paid for political lackeys?
Image of sonofdy standing outside of the chared remains of their home after using a flame thrower to kill a pesky fly:
Spouce: What the hell happened here?
sonofdy: Idunno
I would suggest the first thing you do is get your guys out of the line of fire and then let the system respond and “swat” the sniper at the time and place of our choosing — which means you will likely get him and his buddies and could even get his boss as well.
That would be a more apt definition of “overkill” rather than killing everyone who happens to get caught in the line of fire.
BTW, have you ever served in combat? Not that you have to in order to understand proportionality, but the idea of just killing for the sake of killing doesn’t comport well with how the US conducts wars. Unless one buys the Hollywood/MSM view of the American warrior put forth by John Kerry and his ilk.
But i got the fly!!!! (I think it was a zombie fly)
15 year vet here.
ZOMBIE!
Cue chap!!!
By which time, one of my guys is dead and the sniper has re-positioned and gets another shot. I am probably not going to repeat SOP’s and battle drills on an open forum like this.
Since 1945. We dropped atomic bombs to get the attention of a relatively small group of guys.
But did you serve in combat?
SOPs and battle drills are one thing, actual combat is another.
And I am not going to disclose things that can jeapordize current or future operations, but there are ways to take out a sniper other than shooting a TOW or firing 25MM rounds into an area that will guarantee innocents being killed/maimed.
This type of attitude is what cost us the Vietnam war. The rules of engagement forbade us to win. When a war is prosecuted under the auspices of lawyers, you will always loose.
The colonists, according to the British, didn’t fight fair in the revolution; sharpshooters would kill the British officers. The British never did intentionally target the Colonial officers. One British sharpshooter even had General Washington in his sights. He didn’t take the shot.
If a sniper is on the roof of a school or hospital, killing soldiers under my command, I take him out however I can. If you are squeemish about it then you can’t be an effective military leader. During WWII, Churchill knew from Ultra that the city of Coventry was going to be bombed by the Germans. He didn’t evacuate because that would have tipped the Germans that their code was broken. So, Churchill made the correct decision. Ultra helped us win the war while keeping casualities to an acceptable level.
Leaders are there to make those tough decisions. If you don’t want to, get out.
62″ TVs and Acorn voter registration forms.
All take time, by which time you just lost another guy.
Say, when was the last time we won a war without our enemy coming back again later?
Jonathan Mark has an interesting take on Israel’s disproportional response (found via Jihad Watch):
http://www.jewishworldreview.com/jonathan/mark_disproportionate.php3
We dropped atomic bombs to get a couple of guys to turn off the killing machine of their armies/navies/air forces that had already killed many thousands of Americans and Allies. Had we not done so and had to invade mainland Japan, conservative estimates put the number of killed/maimed close to a million (on the Allies side).
My Dad was one of those guys on his way from the ETO to the Pacific to continue the good fight and, fortunately, ended up being a part of the occupation forces instead of the invading forces.
Hey I just checked out that “Free Gaza” website. It’s portraying the terorists there as victims (no surprise).
I do wonder, however, what consequences any Americans (including McKinney) aboard the DICK NITTY might legitimately face (not actually, of course, since aiding and abetting terrorists is lately the PC thing to do) if the American people would insist they be tried for treason. After all, the ship sought and was granted “safe haven” by the Lebanese.
Can we question their patriotism yet?

It would seem we are arguing the concepts of Total War vs. Just War here. When the behavior of the enemy puts its own people at grave risk (i.e., stockpiles and offensive weapons hidden in civilian targets), then strict adherence to the concept of Just War proves to be an extreme tactical disadvantage.
