IDF vs. YouTube

By Michelle Malkin  •  December 30, 2008 04:17 PM

Color me unsurprised: Bob Owens notes that YouTube is censoring content on the Israeli Defense Forces video channel.

YouTube didn’t earn the AllahTube and DhimmiTube nicknames for nothing!

They just didn’t get around to censoring them all yet.

And what genius didn’t tell the IDF that this wasn’t going to work for them? They need a channel like our forces in Iraq have put together.

What’s Obama gonna do, other than play golf and vote present? Is he any good at any sport except waxed chest competitions?

I think it’s fantastic that the IDF is taking the battle online. Pallywood has shown how effective their canned, fabricated photo-ops & video can be with the press. Israel needs to become effective at fighting the information war as well as the war in Gaza. Resistance from the pro-Hamas online press is to be expected.

The greatest lesson Israel needs to learn, though, is that the anti-Israel movement fatigues the censors with complaints until it is just easier to capitulate to them. Israel needs to fatigue them back in the other direction.

Give Obumma a break. He probably could outsmoke any Marlboro dude, if all you fans are looking for a sport he could compete in.

Besides, why would he touch YouTube censorship this early? He wouldn’t soil his hands directly anyway. Axelrod and Rahm Emmanuel are there to do his bidding.

Now, all snark aside: We could always repost videos in YouTube, so the censors can be kept busy.

Minneapolis? Might have to think about that one buckaroo, just might take my time. Operation Al Franken would take some study.

Israel mulls truce offer on Day 4 of Gaza assault

I hope they do not do so. Cease fires merely give the bad guys time to regroup and rearm. Humanitarian aid my left cheek- the terrorist would take it for themselves.

Israel, under international pressure, is considering a 48-hour halt to its punishing four-day air campaign on Hamas targets in Gaza to see if Palestinian militants will stop their rocket attacks on southern Israel, Israeli officials said Tuesday. Any offer would be coupled with a threat to send in ground troops if the rocket fire continues.

We tried that in Viet Nam repeatedly and all it did was cost American and allied lives. The French are pushing it. Those sissies who let their own cities burn rather than face the mohammedan thugs. I call it the “Vichy Complex” but that is just me.

If Olmert lets this turn into a Lebanon 2006 I do not know if Israel can every overcome it. GET IN THERE AND FINISH THE JOB–YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO WASTE YOUR SOLDIERS LIVES TO APPEASE THE FRENCH.

The only thing that YouTube has ever really good for is watching Doctor Who episodes between the time they air in the UK and the time they are finally released in the US, which is usually a months-long delay.

I’ve been checking in with YouTube all day, as well as the actual IDF website. Anything IDF posts on either has been cleared for release and not state secrets. By removing anything YouTube risks losing all credibility. Those videos are out there and are being passed around, worldwide.

God speed Israel. Please don’t stand down, after Jan. 20th your chances of U.S. support will be slim and none.

Regarding Pat Buchanan, people should read an expose of him published in Commentary in either 1991 or 1992. That article reveals that Buchanan had insisted that it was physically impossible for there to be gas chambers in places like Treblinka. Buchanan sited some subway incident from the 1930s as his “scientific proof”. As it turned out, Buchanan relied on a well known Canadian antiSemite and crackpot as his “expert” in writing his no gas chambers at Treblinka columns. Yet because Buchanan has so many friends in the MSM and now in the leftwing, he never got asked about his absurd “no gas chambers at Treblinka” absurdity. Buchanan is quite at home at MSNBC with his buddies Keith Olberman and Rachel Maddow. Buchanan has become so much the crackpot that he was appearing at joint news conferences with an aged leftist America hater named Falani.

The Israelis know 2 things that the Romans knew quite well, but the stupid liberals have no clue about:

    1. You don’t win until your opponent realizes that they just got their butts handed to them.

    2. The only way to negotiate with a belligerent group of maniacs is with your foot on their throat and your sword tip pressing against the back of their mouth.

Ask any pro-palestinian mongrel “Who shot Robert F. Kennedy?” to a Birkenstock wearing soul they’ll babble off 4 syllables without one of them realizing who he was or what he stood for.

GO ISRAEL! Clean up that mess! Hell, after Hamass did my unit in the Khobar Towers and the US was too spineless to do a damn thing about it, I’ll come out of retirement and give you a hand blowing up some of those jerks.

Here are a couple of resources to fall back on if the MSM and YouTube have problems dealing with the truth. Honestreporting.com has been holding the media’s feet to the fire for the last eight years, sometimes winning retractions for bias and inaccuracy. Their favorite targets have been the BBC, CNN, Reuters and the Associated Press, although every news organization that plays fast and loose with the truth is fair game.

For videos, Road90.com shows videos from Israel, and while most of them are of entertainment, culture, travel, religion and history, they are currently showing videos of the IDF in action.

Meanwhile, the IDF is getting out its message on Twitter, uncut and uncensored by third parties.

I do not understand all the hate directed towards Israel from all quarters of the media. I really don’t.

Israel does not retaliate against Hamas despite being on the receiving end of 3000 rockets during the 6 month ceasefire. Hamas was clearly goading Israel, hoping to prompt a response since they know that the international media will come down heavily on Israel for “breaking the ceasefire”.

When Israel retaliates, they do it with laser guided precision bombing. The fact that there are civilian casualties shows how evil Hamas are being by placing their rockets near civilians. But nooooo, let’s blame Israel! Nevermind that Israel use precision munitions to hit specific targets while Hamas just sprays and prays their katyushas hoping to kill as many Jews as possible. It’s a real miracle not more Israelis have been killed.

What is wrong with people? Are they truly that stupid? Do they really hate Israel that much?

I hope that the UN will *not* stop Israel. Let them get on with the job. Look at how useless the UN peacekeepers were in Lebanon. Don’t repeat the same mistake. This is total war. The sooner we accept that, the sooner it’ll be over. Here’s hoping that Hamas gets wiped out by the IDF.
