One last gruesome act of BDS

By Michelle Malkin  •  January 1, 2009 06:44 PM

A Bush-deranged bomber in Aspen, Colorado, killed himself in a botched bank robbery/mass murder attempt.

The profanity-laced suicide note is here.

Will every last global problem and economic inequity still be all Rove and “Chaney’s” fault after Jan. 20, 2009?

Via RMN:

A one-time resident of this city who had been bitter over its transformation into a playground for the rich left four gift-wrapped bombs downtown in a bank-robbery attempt, turning New Year’s Eve celebrations into a mass evacuation, police said Thursday.

The dangerous bombs were made of gasoline and cell phone parts and came with notes warning of “mass death.” The 72-year-old man suspected of placing them in two banks and in an alleyway on Wednesday shot and killed himself a short time later, police said.

The body of James Chester Blanning, who grew up in Aspen and lived in Denver since 2003, was found Thursday, police said.

Blanning walked into two Aspen banks about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday and left packages wrapped in holiday paper along with notes saying the boxes contained bombs, police said. The notes threatened “mass death,” demanded $60,000 cash and included criticisms of President George W. Bush, Assistant Aspen Police Chief Bill Linn said at a news conference.

Blanning’s notes said he was targeting four banks, police said, but only two — a Wells Fargo Bank and a nearby Vectra Bank — received the packages.

Yes, I certainly remember skiing in Aspen in the late 1970’s, it wasn’t at all a playground for the rich then.

It’s been this way for decades. This is sort of equivalent to BDS about ‘high roller’ suites and benefits in Las Vegas, or luxury yachts.

The thin air must be getting to people up there. There is also a story I saw earlier today about a ski instructor in Aspen being murdered by a nut job because he admitted to his Catholic faith. From what I read the armed whacko interupted a ski instructor’s meeting and was going on about religion and asked the victim if he was religious. Unfortunately he didn’t turn the gun on himself first and committed suicide by getting into a gun battle with a deputy sheriff. A very sad way to start the New Year in the Rockies.

This nitwit thinks that it’s the fault of Pres. Bush and Karl Rove that Aspen has become a playground for the rich? This despite the fact that Aspen started down this path more than 20 years ago? Despite the fact that the majority of people who started this takeover are Hollywood “celebrity” types who for the most part a Dem voting Liberals-Socialists?

I dare say this moron now rests where he belongs. In hell. Thank God he wasn’t able to take anyone else with him.

BDS will continue for about 2 more years. IF the dems continue the majority in Congress, then it must end as they will have controlled (and will continue to control) the country. If the GOP takes back the majority they will continue to blame Bush as the incoming congress will be associated with him.

Well, actually, the reason why he was living in Denver since 2003, was because he was on probation after serving time on a 16 year prison term for some kind of illegal land grab he had tried to pull off in the Aspen area.

The local media is being very cagey about this guy. I watched a report on Fox31 which basically tried to paint him as this quaint eccentric who was done wrong, but was really a sweet little hippie from the good old days. Nothing was mentioned of the suicide note and it’s contents.

I’m so sick of the media’s never ending whitewashing of facts, and their lame political spin.

Anyway, not to worry… Aspen had their fireworks last night, and a good time was had by all the hoity toity.

No. The new ones will belong to the new administration. Eventually, the new administration will assume responsibility for existing issues. Congress and past Presidents may have been the cause, but the person at the top always gets the blame. That’s just the way it is.

They didn’t have to draft me, I enlisted in the Navy a month after I graduated high school.

But assuming for the sake of argument that I did have to worry about being drafted, I’m pretty sure that thirty-five freaking years later I’d let it go.

That’s an almost-impressive attempt to be clever.

But they self-identify as hippies, and anyone who spent 10 minutes listening to them would conclude that they were bitter. How, exactly, is that me not letting it go?
