That’s an almost-impressive attempt to be clever.

But they self-identify as hippies, and anyone who spent 10 minutes listening to them would conclude that they were bitter. How, exactly, is that me not letting it go?

Back when I was in collage, one year my draft lottery number was six. My reaction was to enlist in the Air Force. The “end” of the war was announced while I was on my way to boot camp. I look back upon this with a great deal of amusement.

BTW, I sent six years in the Air Force, going from enlisted to officer.

They didn’t have to draft me, I enlisted in the Navy a month after I graduated high school.

But assuming for the sake of argument that I did have to worry about being drafted, I’m pretty sure that thirty-five freaking years later I’d let it go.
