More things you can’t say in the Age of Obama

By Michelle Malkin  •  January 7, 2009 07:31 PM

Remember back in October when someone accused me of RAAAAACISM for using the phrase “thug thizzle?” Here.

And remember when the Associated Press decried Sarah Palin’s criticism of Obama’s relationship with Bill Ayers as “racially tinged?” Here.

And remember the racial-card brouhaha when John McCain referred to Obama as “that one?” And when Time magazine called him racist for criticizing Franklin Raines? And when unhinged bloggers called Palin racist for wearing white? Here.

Well, add another item to the RAAAAACIST list: You can no longer use the phrase “tricked out” without being labeled a you-know-what. Brian Maloney writes:

Yes, according to close Barack friend and Massachusetts First Lady Diane Patrick, the use of “tricked out” to describe Governor Deval Patrick’s publicly-funded Cadillac is “racist” because the term is apparently used to disparage black people.

Though Patrick aimed her tirade at the Boston Herald, it was one of several Boston-area news outlets that ridiculed the Bay State governor after trading in a more modest state vehicle for a brand new Caddy.

In particular, New England talk hosts hit him hard, badly damaging his public standing upon taking office in January 2007. Regionally-syndicated talker Howie Carr even created a website called Coupe DeVal that still exists today.

Diane Patrick’s sentiments were revealed in a new book by far-left Obamist commentator Gwen Ifill, The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama.

Yep, that Gwen Ifill — the ethically-challenged debate “moderator” who, of course, played the race card when her objectivity was challenged.

Just another race-hustling journalist carrying water for her demagogic friends.

I know, I know:

THAT’S RAAAAAACIST!

So, since we can’t say “tricked out”, can we say “pimped out”? More direct, actually, especially when “rims” and “sound systems” and “headrest-mounted TV sets” are included, and lots of gold and “bling”. Hmm. Can I say “bling”? What about “grill” aka gold teeth? Damn. I need a list. Can I still say “pop a cap”?

The word “racist” in quotes is entirely misleading. There is no indication that Diane Patrick used this word. The only quote from her is this:

“It didn’t have boom boxes, speakers on the outside, but they called it tricked-out”

That doesn’t mean she is calling racism at all. In fact, it doesn’t even mean it has anything to do with race, as she could just mean the controversy was overblown. At the most, she might have called attention to double standards, but that’s not the same as calling people discriminatory.

I don’t know what’s more inane and dishonest from Michelle Malkin, saying that Diane Patrick played the race card, or saying Gwen Ifill did by comparing herself to Lou Cannon, and then declining to attribute the treatment to racism when asked.

Compare this to actual and explicit victim-card playing by the McCain-Palin camp that as far as I can tell was never called out on this site.

*That’s perfect, because I never thought that the term “Pimped” was racist, since there are so many white pimps out there.

    Sarc*

I think the rules are pretty simple if you just give it a little thought. Any terms used by African-Americans which have no listing in an English language dictionary, and are used by said persons in conversations with other African-Americans, are for their exclusive use. Much like Ebonics.

    A few:
    playa
    whazup
    ho
    homey
    shorty
    blunt
    dubs
    pimpin’
    ballin’
    diss
    word
    yo’ mama
    foo’

Of course they can’t claim “ride, for sure, ain’t,” and other established words and terms.

You must be careful though, when using the terms, “hoe down, stop your bawlin’, ask your mama, what’s the word for, let me be blunt, your house has a homey feel to it, can I play again,” etc., since they sound similar.

Let them have their own lexicon. It’s cheap, inoffensive, and doesn’t demand tax money to implement.

Many years ago my mother learned how to say “Hello. How are you?” in Korean.
The neighbor in the house behind ours got mad at her for some reason (he was always mad at everyone so that was kinda normal) and he started cussing her.
She responded by saying “Hello. How are you?” in Korean.
He got so mad that he called the police and told them that she was cussing him and threatening him.
When the police arrived she told them what it meant and they checked on it and she was right. So they told the neighbor to shut up and if he opened his mouth once more, or called to make another false complaint, then he would be the one to go to jail.
Every time after that when he would get mad she would simply repeat “Hello. How are you?” in Korean. It always made him so mad!!

because the term is apparently used to disparage black people.

I have NEVEr heard that phrase used to describe anything related SPECIFIALLY to a black person EVER. It has been used since I was a child to describe anything that was upgraded over and above what the particular item in question came as originally. It is used in comic books, magazines, movies etc. to describe anything that has been…”tricked out”.

I am in agreement with the above posting where “pimped out” would be more appropriate if one was to attach a claim of racism, since it is a term originally used by blacks to describe things that look as if a stereotypical 1970′s Hollywood-ized pimp might have owned or decorated it. Yet even THAT shouldn’t have a “racism” moniker attached, as it is so deeply engrained into the American lexicon that everyone, including kids as young as 5 or less, have been heard using it to describe anything that meets the afore mentioned criteria.

If you ask me…which no one ever does, but that never stops me…anyone who cries “racism” is doing nothing more than exposing themselves as being the racist since it was they who actually saw the alleged offense in the first place, as well as demonstrating to everyone around just what a little cry-baby, poo-butt, insecure moron they are at their very core.

Now THAT was one “tricked out” response.

Disclaimer: Before anyone here decides to chide me for being “racist” or whatever because of what I am about to say and how I say it, let me disabuse you of doing so by telling you like it is- I have paid my racial dues in American society with nearly 30 years of public life, community service, and general racial mayhem in the social trenches of this country. And I at least believe I know what I am talking about when it comes to racial opportunists like Gwendolyn Ifill.

So, go there if you must, but be assured it will be futile. Arrogant you say? Perhaps to you it may come off that way. All i know is that racism’s impact on me for decades was the “gift” of self-doubt. Well, I’ve been healed of that legacy in my life and now just say it like it is for me here on this hillside overlooking the bastion of neo-fascism known as Berkeley California to the outside world.

So, from high atop the western slope of Grizzly Peak, overlooking the fiefdom of Pelosi Galore and Any Twosome Newsome- “heee it go”.

The ObingoDingoLeftWingo presidency will prove an old adage by a venerable anti-racism pro:

“Unless you understand racism- white cultural supremacy- what it is and how it works-everything else that you think you understand will only confuse you.”

The buffoon Gwen “I feel my cholestorol about to run out of my nose” Ifill is at the height of the epitome of that adage.

Yes, I do not hold Henny Gwenny in high esteem. Sue me. Call me “racist” or whatever neo-Marxist label out there that seems to fit.

But, in the racial sweepstakes derby, the Oppression Olympics, I cannot hold a candle to Ms. Ifill-A-Pulitzer-Coming-On.

Yes, Ifill is Black. Yes, Ifill is a Black woman. And, yes, Ifill is second guessed by racist white people and racially biased-everybody-elses everywhere. Her life has had its share of crap eating because of her race and her sex.

But her politics, save her identity mongering, mirror the white neo-facist left wing politics of the United States of Goddam America. And, they are reminiscent-at least in part- of the Jesse Jackson shakedown politics where attachment to the white Democratic core of the American left is the Big Show for step-and-fetchit Black journalists like Gwenny Ifill-yer-pain-girl.

That is the confusing part about racial oppression. Racism is pain- so why would a race-card playing journalist want to conform to the white-inspired values system that is the value system of card carrying racists the world over?

Confusing. Kinda like homosexuals who are “oppressed” by heterosexuals and our institutionalized heterosexual biases wanting to participate in the ultimate heterosexual institution: MARRIAGE. Confusing.

“Unless you understand what racism is….” “Unless you understand what heterosexism is….”

So what is Gwen Ifill about to do to herself “post-inauguration”? (This is the ultimate fruit of real racism- we people of “color” do sh*t to ourselves because we “need” certain things and end up doing weird chit to get the job done—- unless we are emotionally sober, trained to change our responses to the racial pressure against us and to chart courses in life that keep us walking in truth and beauty.)

Ifill doesnt get what i just said. And maybe you dont either. The point is I survived the racial sweepstakes and the addiction of the Oppression Olympics Ifill is still competing in.

No one is meant to. Michelle Malkin survived it to. We don’t live sucking on the Oppression Boobie so we can become Fattened Up Lil Darlings of the White Liberal NeoFascist Elites.

So what is all this posing for by the burly journalist from PBS.

    Simple.

Gwen Ifill wants access to the ObingoDingoWingo “Camelot” and be one of Mrs. ObingoDingoWingo’s gal pals in the various tea rooms.

This is “GI’s” shining hour as a “journalist”. GI has to go for it. She knows it. So does the white liberal neofascist establishment. She is penultimately useful to the spinning of one of the grandest yarns in US Presidential History.

If she can score access now, she assures herself a lifetime of picking through the Presidential papers and letters of the ObingoDingoWingo Messiah himself–in academe, the ultimate golden parachute.

And Ifill is golden because she has managed to parlay the lingo of “oppression” to a level that assures her playtime with- yes, you guessed it- circles of elite white people. The milk of the Boobie be runnin out the corners of her mouth. And she is so cuddly to her masters and their coteries.

There arent any banjos playin, but that big white house in the distance is eerily familiar to this scenario of modern day tokenism.

Poor Gwen Ifill is a palatable Negro. Reverend Al Sharpton is not. You get my drift here, eh?

Ifill-like-having-a-Twinky is the darling of the PBS News Hour. She has her own PBS News Show (the name hasnt managed to stick with me.)

Ifill has been suitable for positioning inside the ObingoDingoWingo Presidency by the lefty machine hacks because her politics are not militant or “Black” (like the first Black First Lady’s are)….but she does have that “quan” white liberal fascists love because her skin is Black black but her politics are liberal Democrat.

In other words, Gwen brings a bone to the ObingoDingoWingo’s and will, in return carry bones from the ObingoDingoWingo’s back to the white liberal establishment.

My point is Ifilll has cred because she is not an angry Black woman. She is a polished Negro who knows who her media masters are- and she plays along to build her career, and ultimately her relief from real life as a tenured academic somewhere, as a crowned princess of the racial sweepstakes so few Black men and women survive in real life.

Gwen’s function will be to sow the propaganda from its sources inside the White House and spread it on the outside to the Mass Media Spreaders who dose the American Poppyfields now afflicting the American Electorate who voted for this loser-in-a-suit to become President.

I’m still bothered that folks are usin’ “cowboy” in a derogatory way. Cowboys were our heroes growin’ up, white hats an’ sixshooters! They stopped the land grabbers, claim jumpers, cattle rustlers, greedy bankers, bank robbers, stage coach an’ train robbers, card sharps, tin horns, an’ the other bad guys with their evil black hats. They taught us right from wrong, taught us to honor our parents, taught us to be patriotic, and taught us our WORD was our BOND. Cowboys judged people by their actions, not their words, their color, or their religion. There has never been a more “diverse” group in our history than the cowboys. Now, when someone uses the word “cowboy” they say it like its sompthin’ they shoulda scraped offa their shoe. Who do I see about that?

Cadillac Deval is considering DOUBLING the state’s gasoline tax which will easily make it the highest in the country. He also is thinking about laminating a microchip inside inspection stickers to tally your actual mileage and tax you per mile. Being a driver in Massachusetts is destined to become the same as being a smoker – tax the CRAP out of you for doing ‘X’. Meanwhile, state and local police, fire, other government workers plus all the do-nothing HACK appointees enjoy among the highest salaries and pensions in the country.

We keep giving them more momey and they just keep spending it on themselves.
